We had the EO charger installed a few months ago. It has stopped working with apparently no power getting to it. I called the EO technical support this morning who advised it would take 10 days or longer to get somebody out to look at it let alone fix it. I live in the country and rely upon this. THE RESPONSE TIME IS COMPLETELY UNACCEPTABLE. VERY POOR SERVICE

Very poor. Unreliable systems. Did not provide a charge to the car and yet they billed me - twice.

As electrical contractors my business don’t fit many ev charging units as we are busy enough with other lines of electrcial work. After being asked to supply and fit an Eo mini pro2 by a regular customer we agreed. An order was placed through our regular wholesaler, unit arrived. On Monday, we installed the charger and Garo enclosure. Only after installing the unit and trying to set up for the customer did we find out that for the charger to be of any use at all, I have to become an EO approved installer by completing online training, supplying qualifications to EO and also bank details etc to open a customer account. I have no intention of fitting any other EO units and this would be a pointless exercise. NOT ONCE does it say anything about having to be an installer to fit and commission them when actually ordering the unit or on any of the boxes or instructions. If that is the case, the units should only be supplied direct from EO to there approved installers. It now puts me in the position of spending several hours doing training and sending over paperwork to complete a job that should take half a day. I am effectively now doing the job for FREE. Absolute shambles

To keep this brief. 10 months since new EO Mini Pro 2 installed. 1 return visit 2 weeks after install as unit not working. Charger works 75% of the time. Error LED's, EO App says vehicle isnt plugged in (even though it is and the green light is on). Currently 5 days without a working charger......... 5 calls to customer services to resolve why the charger isnt working in the last 4 days. 3 promises I will get a call from technical and 3 days without the promised calls!! Guess what, EO are meant to be calling me back tomorrow!

Please do not buy this charge unit. I am an electrician and fitted at my home only to be told that unless I become one of their installers it will only work as plug and play with no smart features.

Just had a new unit fitted today under warranty and still cannot set night rate time charging as soon as the car is plugged in it charges, the app is so frustrating there must be simpler ways to charge a car, at the cheaper electricity night rate. My advice look elsewhere

Unit was installed 4 days ago , car charges but App has never worked and no help , rang EO customer service 3 times but they keep saying they will get back to me but nothing

Don't buy an EO Minipro charger!! I've had it 10 months and it has failed twice before which needed a visit by an engineer both times to fix. It's now failed again and I've been told it will take UP TO 10 DAYS for a member of their Technical team to get back to me. I will then have to wait again for an Engineer to come out. I am absolutely fed up with this and will be insisting on them removing it and giving me a refund. They are obviously overwhelmed with problems if my experience is anything to go by.

Online Quotation Process Really wanted to use this company but was unable to satisfy the 'No metal within 15m of the proposed charge point location' condition on ANY side of my dwelling.

I'm unable to give a good review as the workplace charger that has been fitted at my office is incompatible with my VW ID3. Do not buy an EO Genius charger if you have an ID3.

App is simply awful. Does not work most of time. Does not charge car fully either. A waste !!!

Installer excellent. Service poor. I had to chase to get an installer quote and then the EO QR code did not work. I then called, was on hold for 20 minutes, met by a slightly edgy helper and then told she couldn’t help and I need to wait for a call from EO.

I have not yet managed to connect the charger to my smart phone, it gets to the point of, registering EO Mini Pro with EO Cloud and just hanging, I have tried many times and get the same result. Regards

Terrible installation experience. Blew up our house alarm and then left without helping to fix it. Cost us £90 for an alarm installer to come out and mend it. Also didn’t connect our charger to EO cloud or our Wi-fi. It took me 3 hours to get it to work which was very annoying after hearing our house alarm blaring out for 5 hours. Have an open complaint with lowri beck. But unless there’s a resolution would not recommend EO at all

The charger I bought was 7kw which should my Mini Cooper S electric 0 to full 4 hours. It currently charges at 5.9kwh per 1hr 15 minutes. This takes me outside of my Over night electricity rate and costs me more money. How can I raise this issue ?

I had the charger installed this week. The installation was ok - the problems came when I tried to connect the smart phone app to the charger so I can manage the tarrif etc. The installer handed me a leaflet when he left saying "there you go - its the techy bit" I followed the instructions and tried to set up the app - it failed repeatably with an error about attachign to the cloud ! I called the installer who told me to call EO - wanted nothing to do with it I called EO - they said installers fault - he should of done it for you - they wouldnt help me further I called installer back - ignored call I calleld Octopus Energy - who i had purchsed the unit off - they said they had no record of the unit or me !!! perhaps I shouldnt of paid eh!! SO at a dead end I emailed every contact I could find on the website for Eo, Octopis and homezap the installer Emma from EO took ownership and got me talkign to a good guy on techncial support only to tell me that I need to booost my wifi to where the charger is - I have very good wifi across my house and past the garage but I understand it may drop as outside - I have now had to purcahse a booster to try and get working - tried again whilst booster is right next to the charger and it still wont work or connect! I have to say they whole experience from start to now has be rubbish - Honestly I wish I could of purcahsed another charger.

Nice charger when it’s working but the smart part is about as useful as a lighthouse in the Saha. Nothing but problems. Big money for an outside socket.

It’s now 5-1-21 and my home charger still don’t connect to my internet. I have made phone calls and was told a engineer needs to come back out and connect or fit a new charger. Since it’s been fitted I’m charging on the higher rate and still no one has contacted me to come and sort the problem out. Cheers Russell Simmons 07932040837

This has been one of the most frustrating times of my life . It has taken months to organise this charge point. It would have been easier to negotiate Brexit. The lack of communication between octupus, eo. And ev . Should not really be my problem. Wether the staff are working from home or a different planet is of no concern to me . But the installer attends and expects the charger to be sent to me the customer. So no installation there then. The following week the charger is posted to myself but no ct clamp to link the solar power. Which was discussed with eo months before . Please give your heads a wobble and work together for the customers. This is not pass the parcel !!
