If you want your ring to last more than 2 weeks please don’t buy from earnest Jones my diamond fell out 2 days after my purchase got the diamond replaced after a lot of struggle and the same diamond fell out again after a week however upon arriving I was told they will send the ring back to determine if it’s manufacturer fault or due to wear and tear I was called to say they could not find a fault and if I want my same diamond replaced I will have to pay. Customer service in Silverburn branch is appalling they don’t want to know you after they take your money. I would never buy anything from Earnest Jones again. If you want good customer service after your purchase then I would strongly recommend Beaverbrooks.

Very poor Have had some lovely staff over the years. Sadly the current manageress is a rude and frankly embarrassing woman a bad attitude problem. She was obnoxious. When I said I was going to complain to the manager she smuggly told me she was the manager. So I asked for the number of head office and incredibly she refused to give it to me. I asked her eight times and on each occasion she refused demanding I should deal with her. I told her I was going to start recording and she told me not to. Needless to say i did and she was so bold in her belief she was getting away with this behaviour that when I told her I had actually recorded she became even ruder and even told me her bosses wouldnt be allowed to hear the recordings because I didnt have her permission and quoted GDPR at me ! Funny that. If anyone was accusing me of being rude and I wasnt Id be delighted there was a recording. She wasnt delighted ! Horrid woman and honestly I would urge people to shop elsewhere because we are entitled to be treated with respect and dignity and companies are becoming less and less interested in us as consumers. They need a wake up call

Having spent about £6-7k with Ernest Jones over the last 10 years I am now never buying anything from there again. My wife’s engagement ring that is a £3k ring has snapped after 8 years and they are not interested even though we have not damaged it. It is obviously poor quality even though it is 1ct diamond and 18ct white gold. They are refusing to repair the ring even if we pay for a repair because they said it will just break again!! Several emails from Ernest Jones customer services and they are not interested. Instead they quoted the sale of goods act to say that after 6 yrs they have no obligation to do anything. I now have a ring which they are refusing to repair so it is now scrap and it is very sentimental to us both. I will not recommend these to anyone

Absolutely appalling company. THEY ARE LIAR'S. DON'T BUY FROM THEM. I placed my order during a sale online. My order was confirmed, 4 days later, they sent me an email to say the item was out of stock. A quick check online, the item was most definitely still in stock. However, it had gone back up to full price. A quick phone call to a polite assistant said I could re order at the discounted price. It was their mistake. So I ordered again. Then surprise, surprise, the same thing happened again, the price had increased again. I was told I was going to be given a gift card as a way of apology. That never happened. I phoned back again & was promised I would still receive the gift card. What an absolute nightmare, a horrible nasty company.

My partner ordered me a gift from here and was guaranteed to be delivered into store before Christmas. So Christmas eve we went to meadowhall to pick the gift up.only to be told they had already received there delivery for that day so it wouldn't be here for Christmas. My partner was offered a replacement if there was one instore but would have to pay full price again and would be refunded when the item came instore for collection. This was not an option for us as he had already paid full price. We were left stood there looking like fools as the assistant couldn't offer any other advice. I've still.not received the item so this spoilt our Christmas. I will never recommend this store to anyone. The service was disgusting

AVOID.. THEY STATE YOU HAVE 12 MONTHS WARRANTY BUT THEY DO NOT OFFER IT.. I LOST MY STONE OIT OF MY RING (£2,500) SO NOT A CHEAP RING AND HAVE REFUSED TO FIX IT! AFTER SPEAKING TO OTHERS THEY HAVE SAID THE SAME. CUSTOMER CARE ISNT GREAT EITHER, STATING MY STONE WAS LOST ON MAYBE A LOOSE PEIVE OF CLOTHING - HER EXAMPLE WAS PUTTING MY HANDS IN MY POCKET.. SAVE YOUR MONEY AND GO ELSEWHERE!

Ordered watch online .order went through. On there website the watch was showing in stock .gets a text 4 days later to say the watch is out of stock.They seem to have a big problem when saying there stock availability is OK. Yet when you order its seems to be the opposite. OUT OF STOCK.Not a good way of running business. ..

I got diamonds earrings from my husband. he was told in shop that with gift receipt it will be no problem to exchange or return if I don’t like them . Actually I don’t like them so I back to shop to exchange them to other one . Unfortunately I was told that is not possible to get exchange or return of that diamonds earrings for hygiene reasons because I opened plastic bags , but I opened small plastic bag to actually see them . How you can see diamonds rings without opening plastic bag ! Shocking ! I back to shop next day so I even didn’t have a chance to wear them . Staff very rude. Don’t buy there if you don’t want a disappointment ! I didn’t get any diamonds certificates or even any information about earrings .

Was in Stockport. Ernest Jones as usual they went above and beyond customer service habiba very professional nothing to much trouble saw a ring did not have it in the shop this young lady ordered it on sat 21may came in to day24 may 2022 this is why I keep buying all my jewellery from this store originally saw it in the Trafford centre Thursday 19may however nobody from that shop could be bothered serving me so I walked out and that is why habiba ordered it for me will not be going in that shop again very poor customer service but Stockport as usual looked after me also lovely lady manager well made up for my bad experience you should be proud of your Stockport Mersey way store thank you to those lovely ladies who looked after me so well thank you so much I will be back

We bought an engagement ring in January 2020 Edinburgh. The smallest diamond that is hidden under the crown diamond fell off. There was no heavy impact that we could recall and given the position of the diamond it was unlikely to be the first one to fall out if there was impact. We went back to Ernest and Jones to see what they can do, we were aware that there is only a 12 month warranty and we hadn’t purchased additional insurance. Given lockdown measures in 2020 and 2021 and the fact that this diamond is protected by the crown we were certain they would help us as part of their customer service. However upon arriving we were told we would have to pay for it ourselves, after pushing they said that the workshop can determine if its a manufacturers mistake and if so fix it for free. We asked them if they would provide a report or statement of their analysis and findings, they said they would. We left the ring and were called back to say that they didnt find anything wrong with the ring so it is wear and tear and therefore to be paid by us, £87. I asked if they checked the hooks etc, she couldnt tell me anything more than that one statement. It feels like they just took the decision without properly “analysing” as soon as they knew we were beyond the warranty period. Their blanket perspective is that if it doesnt fall out within a year then its not a manufacturers mistake. Whilst I understand the general concept of a warranty, I feel that this was just not good customer service given the circumstances. It further leads me to believe that the rings at this company are not of good quality, because if the diamond falls out after 1-2 years due to general wear and tear, then how often are we supposed to come back throughout our lifetime and please don’t say at least once a year for maintenance. We are not strangers to diamonds in jewellery, a diamond is not supposed to fall out without cause after 2 years, period. We will not be shopping here again.

Couple of weeks ago the centre stone of my engagement ring fell out. This of course was very upsetting and after further inspection the stone was also discoloured at the bottom directly where it rests on the setting. This can’t be seen with the stone intact. The clasps also gave away that the ring way have been faulty from the get go as one of them is very different to the other three. The ring isn’t even a year old. Naturally I wanted this replaced with a new one as fixing it wouldn’t solve the issue. I went to the Bristol store in Cabot circus in hopes that this could be done. The lady at the store was patronising and very unhelpful. She explained that the ring will be sent off which takes about six weeks and we won’t know if we have to pay until later despite the warranty very much being intact. She told me they won’t do anything about the discoloured parts as it all depends on how the stones are made ( not relevant ) and that there was nothing that could be done about that. Unfortunately I do not know her name. I left the store with my ring as I did not want to send it anywhere and I was in no way assured of anything. My mother in law suggested trying a different store after a few emails suggested the assistants at the store would be able to help us. I was very nervous and anxious about doing so because of the response I received in the other shop. We went to the mall at cribs causeway and were greeted by Heather. She looked at the ring carefully and I started trying to explain how I felt fixing it wouldn’t solve the issue, she just looked at me and said “ oh no, we will give you a new ring” she didn’t even question me. She looked at our email exchanges and ordered me a new ring to replace my old old there and then. She even ordered me a smaller size as the original lo longer fit as well. She was honestly just so nice and helpful and she made my whole day by assuring me that I would have my ring again soon. I would give the company and the lady at Bristol a solid 0 for having treated a customer in such a way. Heather alone here deserves the five star rating because had it not been for her, I would have never stepped a foot into that store again.

Bought a pair of earrings at the Bromley store and the post bent when I put them on at home. Staff at the store not interested and service department deemed them not faulty. Still waiting for a reply from customer services. It’s almost two weeks now. Very disappointed.

Awful company would never recommend them to order anything on line at all, and will never purchase from again. The customer service department really needs a good shake up and for some staff to be saked, or re-trained. How they can justify that at 9am you are then waiting for 45mins for your call to be answered by a employee who clearly doesn't give a toss about the customer for them to dilberatley cut the call off in between them trying to sort out a problem and not even calling the customer back, when I might add isn't the customers fault at all. Although after my fourth phone having spent even longer waiting 55mins onwards I did get a worthy customer service person who was very good at her job and sorted out my problem which wasn't caused by me at all Earnest Jones mistake I think the so called Director should get off he's bum and actually experience for himself what's going on in he's company.

We are on holiday in Cornwall went to Truro Ernest Jones and was met by a very helpful pleasant member of staff named Rachael who went above and beyond the store didn't have the diamond earrings I'd gone to look at but she managed to source from the Plymouth store this was on Monday afternoon they arrived Wednesday morning Rachael called me as promised we returned 2 hours later to see the earrings which were beautiful but picked the more expensive ones and also bought pendant&earrings set in diamonds and silver chain I'd only gone for a pair of earrings 😀 but was absolutely delighted with my purchases and the very helpful Rachael from Truro branch Thank you.

Wedding rings!! Absolutely the worst customer service iv ever come across...my husband and I ordered our le Vian wedding rings from here and what an absolute joke ..my husband still has no wedding ring which we ordered in April and got married in July ..we both ended wearing rings on loan for our actual wedding and as I say my husband still hasn't got one ... absolutely everything went wrong with it that could possibly go wrong ..it's totally and utterly ruined the magic of our wedding rings ...will NEVER purchase from Ernest Jones again ! What a wonderful experience as normal,very professional, all staff really helpful and polite especially Jane.Collected my 3rd ring repair from them yesterday 7/10/23.What a wonderful job.Also in April I didn't do a review on my mums engagement ring which was over 60 years old,gold platinum and diamond.Bought my mums ring back to life,what a wonderful job.Thank you all so much.

Bought a diamond ring that 50% off , still £1500 . A diamond came out after 6 months , took it back to shop , they sent it off to workshop . Workshop says I knocked it out . No proof even though i asked for it . Just "thats what the worshop says".I only wore it alternate weekends so 12 times max. They offered 20% discount on £365 to replace it. Took it to 2 different jewellers who see no obvious damage to cause it to fall out. One wouldn't touch it for repair . Another will reset the diamond for £170 . Ernest Jones are a rip off and unhelpfull .

Diabolical service, please stay well away, they don't have any knowledge of customer services totally clueless. Ordered ear rings online for my fiancee was given delivery date, phones on delivery date it hasn't even been dispatchsd. They couldn't tell me when it would be event dispatched. blind leading the blind. They haven't a clue, stay well away.

Louise from Ernest Jones Mcarthur Glen was amazing and saved the day for my son’s 21st birthday present. I had ordered a watch online with Ernest Jones only to be told they had they had to cancel my order as it as it was out of stock. I called to my local store and Louise had one there and held it for me until a refund was processed. I am so so grateful for all your help Louise and my son will be thrilled when he opens this on his 21st birthday! xx
