Delivery was fast however when I revived the item there were multiple chips in the lid and in the top ar as of glass so wasn't very happy with this

First order was great quick next day delivery and live food was a good amount and alive. Second order was not so good took ages to dispatch after paying for next day delivery then there was hardly any live food at all and the few there was were dead so unsure if I'll order again as it seems to be hit and miss

Order was received in good time however the majority of 3 packets worth of crickets were dead on arrival and not edible which is a shame and why the lower score awarded. Had they all been in good health a 5 star would have been awarded

Bugs are a lot smaller than the shop by me, listed as the same size. Delivery was quick

most of the products i recieved were good, apart from 2 faulty plants that were totaly different colour and shape from picture, now they refusing to send return labels to return get my refund. Surely they are responsible for paying return for faulty/wrong color products???

Hi Liza, Thank you for your review. As discussed in our emails in length. The products you received on your delivery were exactly the ones you ordered, they were not faulty or damaged in any way. I understand you wanted to return them, which is why I gladly accepted for you to return them within 30 days as long as they were new and unused. In this circumstance you were responsible for the cost of returning these items to us and not ourselves. This information can be found on our delivery and returns page. Best regards Chris

Very helpful in organising see you and products for new frog. Good advice. However frog arrived deceased. Sent email no reply sent another no reply called left message no call back. Managed to get through in phone No apology just said manager was out. Would call me back. This did not happen. Had to email again. Finally got an email from Laura apologising offering refund. Very traumatic experience for my son. Refund took a while as manager was off. Got email showing refund but no apology from the manager

Hi Annemarie, Thank you for your email. It is extremely rare that an animal would pass away in transit and I'm very sorry that this happened. Obviously there is always a possibility of an underlying health problem that we weren't aware of, but regardless of the cause these situations are always very sad. In these situations we would always review our procedures internally to see if there are any areas we could improve on and potentially do better. I have spoken with my colleagues involved and I have taken a look at all email correspondence and it would appear we were very apologetic from the very first contact? I'm again sorry you did not feel that we were being sincere. As a group of reptile keepers we would not want to see any animal put in harms way and from everyone at Exotic Pets I apologlise your experience was not the positive one you or we expected. Amazing customer service, however i received no delivery slot, the delivery driver showed up with no for warning, was extremely rude and shouted at both me and my house mate. I was told I would receive a text/call with a slot which I explained to the driver, who only met me with abuse and that he wasn't able to text/call ahead. This confuses me as I was clearly instructed I would have a slot. I have never had such poor treatment from any delivery service before. Exotic pets was otherwise a positive service but this whole encounter has put me off using them again.

some of the prey was dead on arrival (roaches) and rest didnt look to healthy until I put them into a bigger tub with some fresh carrot and a source of moisture (locusts)

They are very good at getting your packages to you on time and fast, and their website is easy to use. However they dont put a right way up on packages even live packages, which is usually fine except when you order items like the live flightless fruitflies which have a liquid paste at the bottom for the flies to eat, which then can leak out of the containers leading to maggots escaping. So all in all a good service just be careful when ordering live animals

p,metallica came well packaged. expected flightless flies ti be sent hatched! how do u expect a 2cm sling ti eat.. now got ti wait 3+weeks. so now catchin house flys...

Hi Conal Great to hear the spider arrived well and you're happy with it. Regarding the fruit flies the majority of our recent stock has been new cultures as they are fresh in. If you are wanting to feed the tarantula in the mean time whilst the culture breeds the Metallica has been used to feeding on small crickets and will also take mini mealworms if you have any available. Hi Krystle I am sorry to hear the Fruit Beetle Grubs arrived this way. Looking at your order number i can't find any record of this being reported back to us prior to the review. If you ever have any issues at all It's best to take a photo and contact us straight away and we can sort the problem for you asap. Generally we can arrange a refund, credit or replacement. First order was okay. Second time used them, I was sent a totally Incorrect order of mainly mini mealworms, yet I had ordered Regular. The Staff at Exotic Pets.co.ukcould Not have been More Helpful !

I bought the exotic pets Praying Mantis Starter Kit, along with a fruit-fly culture and some other small bits. Sadly my experience with my purchases as someone new to the hobby of mantis keeping has not been good. The company is currently experiencing an issue with their fruit-fly culture supplier, so when mine arrive they were moldy and mostly dead (only 8 adults left, no maggots etc). The decorations that I received in the starter kit were also lack-luster, as some of the sticks easily developed mold after a few days in a moist environment (mantises live in high humidity!) and there wasn't any leaves like the picture showed, as the kit was 90% moss - I ended up buying some extra bits for decoration from other sources, but I do keep in mind that this is a 3rd party made kit. Finally the spray bottle that is crucial for the care of mantises didn't work at all and was very cheap in design, it barely sprayed any water and after a lot of trying, only got leaked on where the water started coming through the handle. I also ordered some feeding tweezers which when arrive came in damaged packaging and the logo was rubbing off the handle as if it had already been used. Personally if I was purchasing for a beginner set up for mantises again, I'd buy the parts separately to have better control of their quality. The customer service in response to the fruit-fly situation was ok, they were polite and understanding however I did have to call as they took a long time to reply to emails, I did receive a refund though so they get an extra point for this, but I haven't even bothered with the rest of the issues as it was quite the hassle. Postage-wise the items took a while to be dispatched but I can't fault this due to the current situation, and was within the 4 days they guarantee. Overall my experience was ok, but not nearly as good as it could/should have been, the company has definitely been let down by 3rd party suppliers & product producers.

The delivery of my bearded dragon scales and clippers was good but over a week later I am still awaiting the delivery of 4 boxes of locusts as someone forgot to put them in the box when shipping them out. A phone call on Tuesday and I am still waiting for them 3 days later.
