Expend has been handy to use whilst traveling and keeping expenses in order. There are some downfalls, it's not perfect but it's getting there

Mostly works as you would expect, but a fair few times where overseas payments have been declined, or in a recent case, the card was declined but charged three times. The backend is nice but requires a substantial chunk of time to get it configured correctly.

The premise of the solution is good. But there are a lot of issues that occur with day-to-day usage. The OCR is incredibly slow. Takes about 15 minutes on average to scan a receipt or invoice - that's just not a practical timeframe. The email route of uploading invoices basically never works (mostly just get stuck in pending mode and never actually get through that stage). When you upload invoices via app, and select the card you used and type of expense, it most often reflects differently when it ultimately uploads, but most often time fails to upload the receipt. The app needs to improve a lot. We have some Expend cards for our junior employees, but would switch everybody in the firm over to Expend cards if they were credit cards. Pre-pay cards are more work than they are worth.

Expend is a great concept, however it has too many frustrating flaws. Primarily, the website and/or app crashes every time I use it.

Expend is really good for submitting expenses and keeping track of mileage, its formatted in a really clear and simple way which is easy to use. However, the app itself is very slow and crashes almost every time I use it, which can be really frustrating and time consuming.

Does what its meant to. The integration with xero is pretty glitchy and their card delivery times have been quite long recently. Their customer service was also lacking on a couple of ocasions. Decent enough but I wasn't hugely blown away with the experience and the annoying and incessant two factor authentications are a pain.

The back end UI needs some updating to enable card users to switch to previous/next expense without having to go back to the list of purchases each time. far too time consuming as it loads up every purchase on the card each time it does this. I've also experienced issues with using the card to make purchases with vendors reporting that the card comes back with security errors relating to country of origin on the card and its locality.

Ok, but confusing. Things should be intuitive even for people not so familiar with this type of app. Trying to look at help files on a website separate from the app is not so very helpful. Why not integrate them in the app?

reports are not great . once expenses are paid they don't get mark up as PAID automatically. we have to do manually which is time consuming and lengthy work. also, there is no facility of 2nd approval so when people make mistake in putting exp and we want to amend it we have to reply on mangers to approve again instead of admin to do that quickly. not user friendly system

A good system for what it is. In the end we decided not to continue using it as it does not support the expense approval flow we were looking for. Apart from that, a great app.

Expend's customer service team are fast and very helpful. I haven't used the app yet as I haven't been able to swap my business account over properly yet due to time constraints.
