I'm afraid most of the 100 day dry aged steaks I had purchased had to be thrown away. I persevered with 3 steaks (even with one in a curry!) having had to remove the black 'mold' on the fat which pretty much meant a sirloin without any fat to add to the taste. Whilst you say it is an acquired taste I am afraid my conclusion is that it was inedible so i have reluctantly has to dispose of the rest of the purchase!.

Really disappointing. This is our 3rd order & I have to say it really started well and I was won over but 3rd order was poor. The meatball packaging blew up way before sell buy abs had to through away abs the meat pies leaked everywhere when cooked and were tough and had no gravy and touch chewing flavourless meet. What a waste of hard earned money.

This review is purely for the Nidderdale sausages, the rest of my order was, as usual - excellent for quality, flavour and value. Back to the sausages.... the casings are so thick that it ruins them. Also, the filling (although it is 100% quality pork) didn't have any 'oomph'. Just a basic sausage, really. :-(

My first delivery from Farmison - long before the Covid pandemic - was generally a good experience, but a more recent one proved very disappointing. No problems with delivery, but the quality of the meat was very poor. I write this as someone who buys from farm shops and small butchers, mostly in Devon, rather than supermarkets. A brisket dried out even with very slow cooking; a lamb saddle (supposedly spring lamb) had a thick layer of fat and was particularly unpalatable. For the prices, these were well below the standards we are used to - in fact, I pay rather less in Devon for rather better meat. Chicken was okay, burgers good. My father-in-law (a Yorkshire man, through and through) echoed these comments about his own order. 'Very ordinary', he thought. I don't think I'll be returning to Farmison, even though I have an outstanding credit eith them - that lamb, in particular, will live long in the memory but in the worst possible way.

The meat was 5/5.... beautiful, tasty and great portion sizes. However, I have to knock of 3 points for the packaging.... polystyrene packaging should be banned in this day and age. We need sustainable and 100% biodegradable packaging as standard. Other similar butchers and online meat delivery companies supply their packaging in this way. I had to drive 40 minutes to my nearest rubbish tip just to get rid of the packaging.... not ideal when you live with a vulnerable person during a pandemic! Such a shame because the food was brilliant. Please please sort your packaging out!

I was excited to receive my first delivery from Farmison but unfortunately the product was not of the standard I expected. The lamb skewers were mouldy and had clearly gone off despite me opening them before the use by date. Very disappointing to receive meat which is off especially after paying such a large price to purchase it.

Being a regular buyer before the Corona virus period, during it all the meat was sold out. Farmisons should have showed loyalty to their regulars by allowing them priority to buy their products over new customers.

Checked the ingredients before placing order on the burger pack. Unfortunately I did not on the sausages until after the order (my fault). Contacted immediately via email, then called the next day. I asked if the order could be changed, as my wife who is coeliac could not have them (gluten) to be told by the woman on the phone that the only things edible in my order were two steaks, as all processed meat was not gluten free due to environment made in. The steaks were lovely though. The rest we had to give to family. If you have gone to the trouble of putting the ingredients on the website, a little note stating not gluten free would be surely easier than sending stock responses out via email.

Normally ok meat from them but sausages had thick skins and the chicken kofta looked appealing but was overly minced and sludgy - awful really, sorry but not Judy my opinion

Exceptional quality meat - the duck was amazing and I definitely intend to continue to buy from Farmison after lockdown is over - whenever that happens! Delivery was as promised - service was excellent as expected from a small hands on business. Thank you!

Paid £16.10 for 4 Badger Face Lamb Chops.This is £33/kg which is ridiculous.Chops were thin and not tasty.I’ve had better from Morrison’s at a fraction of price.I will never use this Company again.

Unfortunately my order was wrong in several ways. I received half the steaks I ordered, middle bacon was replaced with streaky and unsmoked when smoked was ordered. Despite not receiving all the items I'd ordered I was not offered a refund, but instead given credit. Unfortunately, the amount of credit I was given wouldn't even cover the cost of replacing the missing and incorrect items!

The meat that arrived was nice enough. Came one day early which was good. Was missing a part of the order though(Indonesian steak) I did email, but didn’t get a response. It’s understandable, but disappointing.

I was a little bit disappointed with Farmison. I found the quality of the chicken to be lacking, the goujons (which aren't cheap!) Were full of sinue and the mince was gritty. The stir fry tasted nice but there was very little veg! I'm afraid I won't be shopping again.
