You didn't seem to have my order even though I paid online purchase! Something about my credit card company not releasing a code! Never had that problem in 40 years If I hadn't phoned up we would've been without our meat for Christmas Day. Goose was not tasty. Sourdough bread was very disappointing. It had the texture of normal bread, not holey like it should be.

Had a Haunch of Venison for Christmas and followed your cooking instructions carefully. It looked really good when carved, medium rare, but was disappointingly lacking in flavour and quite a let down in the eating.

I was so excited when my usual retailer stopped getting in a particular cut of meat and I saw that Farmison had it. I placed my order a month in advance and late the night before my delivery was due to arrive, I got an email to say there was a delay and it was unavoidable etc etc and that my order would be instead delivered the day after I had booked. This is all fine and well, but it annoyed me as what would have happened if I never had the day off work to be home for delivery? Anyways, by the time the meat turned up I was just happy that i had it. Well.. roll on Christmas and it was a complete disappointment! There was so much fat on the meat and a massive line of gristle running right through the meat that I ended up having to completely butcher the piece of meat to get to the good bits. I just feel that for a £70 piece of meat, this should not be happening. Very disappointing, especially after reading a lot of positive reviews online and seeing that they have won "Online Butcher of the Year"

This has to be the toughest and least flavoursome steak it has been my misfortune to purchase overall very poor not what you would expect from a company supposedly selling a premium product not worth the reduced introductory price I paid through a deal website .

We ordered a pack of various meats to be delivered. First thing we ate was the burgers - which were horrible. I think perhaps they had not been transported properly and had 'gone off'. Sausages were ok - but not as good as our local butcher. We haven't tried the other items yet (are in the freezer). All-in-all a bit disappointed. Maybe we're being a bit harsh as it's possible that the burgers were fine when they left the butcher - and the courier didn't transport them properly - I don't know - what I do know is that they were inedible and would have made us ill had we eaten them. Sorry guys - our experience wasn't great

I ordered a variety of meat, amongst which was some lamb cutlets. The Farmison site described the lamb cutlets as being 4 to a pack, each being 100g, and presented French trimmed. There was a choice of breeds so I chose Manx Loaghtan as it was a type I was unaware of. The order arrived on 1st June 2016 and, when I unpacked it, although the bulk of the order was fine, it was clear that the cutlets did not match the description, in that there were seven small chops in one pack, none of which would have been close to 100g. I raised this with Farmison and after some back and forth they advised that the Manx was a small breed and therefore cutlets wouldn't be as large as 100g. Where was that on the site? Or where was the advice to check breed size to ensure that animal could yield 100g cutlets? I was advised that a further batch of Manx was due to arrive, and being slightly older beasts, they would have larger cutlets and that Farmison would select a batch that matched my expectations and send them in replacement of the unsatisfactory items. All acceptable to me. No cutlets arrived despite the Farmison site showing Manx cutlets were in stock. Then a couple of weeks later I got a circular e-mail advising that another batch of Manx was in stock and encouraging customers to order quickly as they sell out quickly. I the contacted Farmison to ask when my replacements would be sent. I got a reply that apologised and said that replacements would be sent, but I should be aware that the Manx cutlets were smaller and I would likely get seven chops per pack. Yet the Farmison website still shows 4 x 100g cutlets per pack. I pointed out that we were back to the same issue that started my complaint. Farmison offered to replace the Manx with a different breed, which was fine by me. The replacements arrived. Still not French trimmed!! In addition, it would be helpful if the description of the flat pork belly could mention that it was on the bone as mine was.

I ordered the Nidderdale "Dad" pork pie as in the picture it looked substantial & very pleasing to the eye...I felt that the price of £18:50 whilst high would result in said pie being extremely special indeed...add to the £18:50 a delivery charge of £5:85 and the final price was £24:35...Quite a price for a pie however I wanted something amazing & was sure that would be what I (My Dad) got!! How disappointing when I saw it...very small...smaller than the pies I buy from my local (and excellent) butcher in Louth & whilst I was assured that it tasted lovely once it had been cut into quarters I didn't have the heart to pinch a piece from him as there really wasn't enough to go round... It arrived packaged in a massive box which promised much but delivered only a small plastic tray with the pie under some cling film...It would have been funny if I'd paid a fiver for it but for £25 the joke wore thin very quickly...All in all a massive anti-climax that left me & my Dad feeling very short changed...

I bought the luxury free-range steak hamper as a gift for my Dad, but was very disappointed that he hasn't really enjoyed it. He said that the burgers tasted a bit odd, very strong and a lot like liver, which was very off-putting for him. I expected everything to be delicious and am disappointed.

Honestly did not think this was worth the money paid as I did not enjoy the cuts of meat (tough) - sausages were ok.

My BBQ box orders arrived on time last Friday, however no sausages were included when there should have been a pack of 5 in each box. Called to inform Farmison of this, where I was promised a voucher for money off my next order to be emailed over to me, but I never received an email. Hoped for better service.

Very disappointing purchases, Aberdeen Angus beef rib not so flavoursome as Donald Russell or Waitrose. Suspect "ribeye steak" supplied was rump, it did not have the texture, fat or taste of ribeye. Wild rabbit fine but not well chopped.

I ordered the Picanha steaks that were aged for a very long time apparently , and was very dissapointed. No matter which way I tried to cook them, pan fry or griddle, they were tough. I now have three more lots of steak that will only be good for stir frying after being cut into very thin strips. Expensive stir fry beef! It's dissapointing as the first lot of Picanha steaks I ordered 6 months ago were superb, good flavour and tender too.

Paid £50 for 4 steaks meant to be from a farm in North Yorkshire, packaging said they came from a meat auction. Not worth the money, awful customer service.
