I ordered a very expensive boned stuffed rolled goose for Christmas. It is my birthday on Christmas day and my family were coming to share it. We very carefully followed the cooking instructions but they were totally wrong and two hours before the goose was supposed to be ready it was overdone-dry and tasteless. A waste of a good duck and our day was spoiled. Aftercare not too good either!

This is the 3rd time i have used farmison and i was very disappointed. We brought 2 x 3kg wings of beef for £220.00. One of the wings was at least 30% fat ( I have photographic proof) and both pieces shrunk by 30% during medium cooking suggesting they were not dry aged at all. We struggled to feed 14 on 6kg of Beef !!!!. I have spent a lifetime buying at markets including Smithfield Meat market and i was very disappointed with the product from Farmison. Ordered monthly meat box. Arrived on the first of the month. Totally different package. Needless to say heavily caveated on website so no recompense or come back for me. I won't be using farmison again.

I am not reviewing your service when I say poor. Your service is excellent. Sadly the goose breast we had on Christmas Day was very tough. Your beef has been lovely before and your customer service is excellent but this product was not up to expectations.

I purchased 2 x 1.2 kg of Dexter fillet for Christmas. While the meat was good, in no way was it 32 day aged, if at all. You could tell by just looking at the colour of the beef. This was my first order from Farmison. Probably my last !

We triad to do a Christmas order as a follow up because we could not order ham until after the 4th of December, and when I was filling in the order it came up to say that you were unable to deliver to our area although we had had an order a week before so we went elsewhere

Bought haunch venison steaks for special birthday meal. Flavour OK but disappointingly tough. I have cooked this dish many times before and it has been delicious but sadly on this occasion it did not live up to the quality and cost. Very disappointed.

I bought two types of sausage, i note that the ingredients were not on the sausages, but available on the website. Both were awful, the megrez lamb, good lamb flavour but very very salty . Also the Yorkwurst long sausages tasted of very little and had a density that was not pleasant and not that reminiscent of meat but salt came with a vengeance 5 minutes after eating . The black pudding (doreens) was good but not to my taste, I prefer a firmer black pudding but at least doreen had not gone completely crazy with the salt and the flavour was ok. The Piccana steak is in the freezer so cant really comment. on the whole a big disappointment.

Beef I bought was cooked to your instructions but was tuff when we ate it I get better meat from my local butcher at a less cost,I will not be ordering from you again.

Disappointed with the box the grand sirloin i received was more fat than meat,not like the picture on the website.Burgers great this is my second box and the last.

I recently purchased the salt beef brisket and used the recipe card from the website. The piece of brisket was quite small and with very little fat, both outside and in the meat. Consequently, the meat was dry and very stringy. I have bought other meat from Farmison, and was satisfied with the products. If this was my first experience of Farmison, I would not buy from them again.

Delivery of meat was good. It was difficult to review/rate the taste and quality of the burgers as we over cooked them and they ended up very dry! My dissatisfaction is that the pancetta I ordered was not available so I was asked if for my inconvenience (I had to source it elsewhere) I would accept a voucher. This was for the cost of the pancetta and I thought it was a ‘clever’ way of encouraging me to reorder (this was my first order). I didn’t realise that I had been charged for the pancetta, so I was in credit but had to reorder and spend it within 3 months! A bit cheeky I think - an ‘own goal’ Farmison!

Had a dispute with them on the phone which they called 'human error' re delivery date. I clicked on a date, changed my order and the new order was delivered six days too early as they told me the website went to a 'default' delivery day. Had no choice but to take delivery six days early as their terms and conditions are so slewed anti the customer. Rejigged my freezer to accommodate meat. A real pain! and wanted to serve fresh meat as a BBQ for my son's birthday. The products were really badly packed...koftas all squashed up in one lump and sausages jammed and misshapen with ice packs. Staff polite through gritted teeth when I put my case. The customer is not the king here. Will never use them again and suggest you look elsewhere. MJ

Ordering was easy, the website was good, and the delivery was well packaged. My disappointment was with the steaks that I ordered. I paid almost £9 per steak. Which I think is a great price for a steak that looked like the one you advertised. Unfortunately I got a non-marbled thin steak approx. 1 cm depth. Why picture a nice Rib Eye and send something so thin it's useless? Honestly feel conned. I've included a picture so people can make up their own minds. The rest of the food in my large order was ok, but given the price I paid for the steaks I expected the best and was extremely disappointed. Extremely put off ordering from you again. And would urge others to use caution - the pictures you see may not reflect what you are ordering.

I had two Pichana (8oz+each) sadly, they were gristly and inedible They were cooked as per instuctions. Normally I buy this cut of beef in one piece, primarily, flash frying it in unsalted butter and a drop of oil on each side starting with the fat side, then placing it in a hot oven for approximately 8 mins, depending upon the weight. This usually cooks to perfection. Customer services did respond straight away to my disappointment by replacing the Pichana beef, this time as a joint. When We've cooked and eaten it I will send our overall opinion back to Farmisons, or trust Pilot? It certainly looks good, lovely creamy layer of fat along with just the right amount of marbling Best regards, Diane Westwell. (Mrs).

The animals are free to roam and forage freely and therefore each animal, as they grow and develop is different. no leeway in the questionnaire to highlight issues: no cooking guidelines with products; scary amount of non-recyclable packaging. needs to have a return basis for packaging.
