I am disappointed with the quality of the picanha.. I can send you pictures showing that. Its not the right quality i was used to. A lot of nervs within the beef (I am not talking about the fat which is correct) wich is not the right standard. Best Regards, Dulce

We were extremely disappointed with all the meat. The rib eye steaks were the best, tasty but greasy. However if I had followed the cooking times supplied the steaks would have been very overcooked. The shoulder of pork was tasteless, tough in parts and the cooking method recommended did not produce a tasty gravy. The osso bucco was very large shin beef, a great proportion was either bone or fat requiring the removal of half a cereal bowl full of fat before serving. The rack of lamb was inedible as on opening the packet and airing off the meat it smelled rancid so did not wish to take the risk of cooking it. It was a far cry from other racks of lamb being a very large rack with an enormous amount of fat still remaining on the chops. Altogether not the experience we had hoped for.

I have found the quality can be hit and miss. I used to get all of my meat from Costco but being from Yorkshire and the very good reviews I thought I would give Farmison a go. I bought Rib Eye steak, first time fantastic, my second order it was full of fat. Wife not happy !!!!.The mince steak again was so fatty when making a chilli there was yellow fat residue, something I never had from Costco meat so that's in the freezer and its back to Costco. In fairness the lamb chops, liver and joint was fantastic. I can't give a review on the burgers I bought as I have them in the freezer for better weather. Given the cost and the hit and miss quality I am undecided if I would buy again.

I have used Farmison & Co on quite a few occasions and was moderately satisfied with the products and service although the beef I expected to be so very superior, was a bit disappointing. However, with my last order I made it clear that I wanted meaty bones to make stock to augment the joint I was cooking for a special meal. The bones I received were only knuckles without a gram of meat between them. I was told that if I placed another order within a certain number of days, I would receive a replacement kilo of bones. Apart from having to pay the postage on any new order, I was more than a little surprised, and very disappointed at such casual treatment and decided Farmison obviously did not want, or need, my custom and have not ordered since.

Pack of 2 Fillet Steaks I ordered (Expensive) Absolute disaster - One of the steaks was held together by an elastic band, it was in fact 2 small pieces of meat, made to look like 1 steak - both were full of gristle and so tough and completely inedible, Never having had a tough fillet steak, one thing for sure was these were not fillet steaks, they certainly cost enough. Very disappointed. One positive, your chickens have always been good, never the less I have now unsubscribed

My order was due to be delivered on 21.03.2019. It did not arrive. I paid the "EXTORTIONATE" Delivery Charge of £14.45. Although Karen was very apologetic, I feel that some gesture should have been made, such as, refunding that Delivery Charge because of the let down we experienced. We have not yet tried the meat, but expect it to be excellent. However the Delivery Charge is unacceptable it is just another example of "THE GREAT POST CODE RIP OFF" We order online frequently, and Parcel Force, ie Royal Mail, always deliver next day.

Whilst the meat is excellent quality the customer service is not, therefore i won’t be ordering again.

So disappointed, I really was looking forward to trying these. Rump Steak was Okay at best, Pave Steak was better but the Lamb, oh dear looked nothing like the picture, Burgers tasted very Fatty,never again I did try to upload pictures but couldn't figure. I am sorry its so negative but it is honest. Rob Buckley

Sadly on this occasion I rate as poor. Be wary of ordering a meat selection pack over a month end. What I ordered was not what was delivered because meat selected before a month end could change if delivered after a month end. Apparently there is a warning to this effect at the bottom of the order page but I missed it. Seems to me, if offering a mail order service it is only fair the customer should be able to expect to receive what they ordered. To be fair to Farmison, I have been offered a £10 reduction voucher off my next order but at the moment I have a jaded view of the service.

Disappointed - ordered 3 items - items were received a day later than expected with one of the items missing - I did speak to a very helpful staff member who arranged a refund for missing item but expected everything to be 100% for money paid.

A particular steak which I ordered was out of stock and was substituted with a similar (not superior item) - this was "okay". The pigeons which I ordered were out of stock (it happens) and I recieved an email saying that they would credit me the value from my next order - this really wound me up - so you keep my money, don't send me what I have paid you for and assume that I will order from you again? - nope. I emailed them back and asked for a refund for the out-of-stock items, which they did. Sometimes things go wrong - that's life and I am a grown-up - but when things do go wrong I would recommend fixing them in a manner which impresses the customer (especially on a first order) Farmison failed to do that. The meat was good but the service was lacking - I have ordered from one of their competitors this week (just £107 as it is a first order) they now have a chance to keep me as a customer as I won't be back to Farmison.

Up until now I have been perfectly happy with the meat/ poultry I have bought but this post is about the Haggis in my last order. I usually order Haggis from one of the Supermarkets made by MacSweens or Simon Howie and these are excellent but the one I received in my order was the worst I have tasted...it had a very poor texture and was bland and tasteless and I did not finish it. I would suggest Farmison get hold of some Haggis made in Scotland and get their Chefs to match them. I wont be buying one agajn and it wasn't cheap.

Item missing from order. When I contacted customer service they said packing error resulted in it not being there and they would refund or add onto my next order. When I asked them to send as it was essential for a recipe with other items they refused! Shocking bad service. I complained as the packing slip showed that it was not an error and purposefully left off order. Customer service then changed story saying wasn’t error and item out of stock?? They were not told and therefore did not tell me in advance. Can you see how many errors in this story?? Items can be ordered which are out of stock.... etc. frankly customer service told porkies.... now trust is gone. Morale of story. Judge an Organisation when genuine mistakes or errors happen. Do they rise to this challenge and delight?? Or do they lie to you and tell you single items cannot be sent. Unfortunately Farminson have shown themselves up. If there is ever a problem with your order.... they will blame other internal departments and not own or take responsibility to fix your issue. They will behave in a manner that is untrustworthy.

Ok, I ordered twice from them. Delivery no problems well packed on ice. The meat itself is much better than in Tesco like, but expensive. I mean, I opened the package of lamb chops and they were not very fresh. I could smell it and had to wash it first. Not completely waste, but not fresh either. Perhaps it is January and you still have a stock from New Year Eve but look! for the £30/ kg I expect to have a fresh product. The lamb shoulder was fresh and did not smell at all, so I could say it is not my nose... The same story with pork. Hit and miss... The beef come in the individual small bags, the bags are full of liquid meaning it like soaking in something salty... reddish colour , do not know in what... Again £40/ kg I expect to receive a nice dry steak. So I will not buying from them and have found a local farm 30 min. drive from me and finally happy!
