“Just to add to my previous review on Golden Emblem that there are a number of faults on the boat (toilet gauge never worked throughout our stay, one of the gas rings wouldn’t stay lit , water tank gauge didn’t work etc). It is all rather tired. I do therefore have to agree with one of the previous reviews that £1300 for 4 nights (effectively just 3 days boating) felt like very poor value for money.”

“Just returned from a mid-week break on Golden Emblem. The staff were brilliant ; very helpful and patient and keen to explain everything needed to ensure that we had an enjoyable (and safe) boating holiday. The boat itself was also great in many ways, with a good-sized galley and lounge area, satellite tv etc. However, if we were to go back we’d probably try one with a different layout as it wasn’t ideal in some respects (mainly the Steering position in bad weather and the cramped bedrooms). The beds unfortunately are also incredibly hard, which meant a decent nights sleep was impossible. We’d take our own mattress toppers if we were to return and were to have the boat for any longer. All that being said, we still had a great break on the beautiful Broads and would thoroughly recommend Ferry Marina for its great staff and perfect position”

“Arrived slightly early but found staff very accommodating and extremely friendly. Gave me a ring when our boat was ready. On returning we moored adjacent to the boatyard, reported to reception who told us to go and have a drink and they would find us a space as they became available. However, the boatyard sent a member of staff who took our boat to the yard for us (excellent service and very welcome in windy conditions). This is our first time with Ferry Marina and I cannot fault any of the team; we will definitely be returning next year.”

“Stayed on Amber Emblem for 4 days with friends and had a lovely time. The boat provided everything we needed. Plenty of space for the 4 of us. It was clean and well presented. Cruising was easy and the scenery spectacular (very lucky with the weather). Will hope to go again and would recommend Ferry Marina.”

“From booking to picking up Ruby Emblem I found Ferry Marina to be 5*. Ruby Emblem was clean and worked perfectly but both of us felt this is an old boat (like a lot of the boats on the Broads) and perhaps should be marketed as that. The new boats are really home from home and would have really enhanced our 5 day break. Will I use Ferry Marina if I do this type of holiday again ... Yes. Well done Ferry Marina.”

“Lovely little cottage, although only little from the outside. It's like a Tardis - much bigger on the inside! There's a lovely open-plan kitchen/lounge with a deck area overlooking a watery courtyard part of the marina. Three bedrooms upstairs - one with a king size bed, two singles. If you don't fancy the walk into Horning, you can get the ferry from outside the Ferry Inn. We didn't realise this until we'd already done the walk. The staff are very helpful and extremely friendly, even at stressful changeover times. Cannot fault them at all. Best part of the marina? The semi- tame heron who can be hand fed! (He does like a bit of cheese!)”

“Boat was clean, neat and dry. Everything worked, the beds were comfy and there was a good level of crockery and utensils. Boat was well laid out and very easy to drive.”

“Excellent boat and service. Very friendly, knowledgeable staff. Unfortunately our boat broke down. Very quick response which was very good. However, it took 4 hours to fix. I was disappointed that when taking the boat back, details were taken of any issues with boat which were noted but after that instead of an apology for the boat breaking down, the receptionist was only interested in explaining our discount for next time! I would have preferred an apology.”

“My first time on The Broads and boating was made so much easier by the helpful staff at Ferry Marina. Arranging the booking was easy, helpful information was provided and the briefing gave me the confidence to take a large boat out onto the water for the first time. A fabulous weekend!”

“Staff were excellent but there were some issues with the boat, Brilliant Emblem. One of the toilet door handles was broken and could not be opened from the inside! Secondly, the bow thruster did not always work which made manoeuvring more difficult. Generally we were pleased with the boat but it felt a bit dated. Despite these niggles we enjoyed our holiday.”

“Do believe the standard of maintenance and cleanliness on the boat has dropped since our previous holiday with you. We were given a boat with a faulty fridge which you replaced the next day, Centre windscreen wiper faulty , a door handle loose so child stuck in bedroom till I repaired it. Water tank empty. I commented to my wife whilst watching your cleaning staff getting the boat ready that “ they look as interested in their job as I am in sky diving” they were more interested in chatting to each other. I know what the younger generation are like as regards work nowadays pehaps a little more supervision may help . The most professional side was reception can’t fault them. Also the man that came to replace the fridge could not have been more helpful . Regards KEITH whittingham”

“This was our second visit to Ferry Marina, brilliant staff, fantastic boats, ivory emblem was superb to handle, boat was spotless, and reliable, one minor hiccup, but quickly rectified, thank you for a fantastic holiday guys and girls.”
