“We have had a wonderful holiday on the Norfolk Broads. Everyone at Ferry Marina is very friendly, helpful and informative, from the reception staff to the “ boatmen”. The standard and quality of the boats are extremely high and are very easy to sail ( even for complete novices, such as us !!!)”

“I booked this boating holiday last year after mooring up in a Richardson boat and asking to view some of your river cruisers. My wife and I were that impressed with the helpfulness and politeness, not to mention how much better your boats were, we booked this boating holiday. We were not disappointed, the boat was great and very comfortable, the weather was fantastic too. Many thanks to all at Horning Ferry Marina, we will be back.”

“Our boat - Whisper Emblem - was well prepared and with excellent facilities onboard - easily the best boat we have ever hired. Staff were courteous and helpful -especially Ian who spent time explaining how everything worked on the boat - and was there still smiling when we returned.”

“Absolutely brillant experience. The boat was in a great and very clean condition. The instructions were thorough and Dennis made us feel comfortable. We didn't have any issues with the boat, it was all very comfortable and a fun experience. We would 100% book with Ferry Marina again.”

“Level of cleanliness was not of a standard I would expect, some examples - on arrival there was a soiled towel in the downstairs WC and make up on a bedsheet on one of the twin beds. The sofa was unclean and when we lifted the rug in the lounge part way through the holiday to vacuum there was a large amount of sand underneath it - we did not go to the beach. The ironing board cover was very dirty. Inside the lounge by the windows were a large number of dead flies and the balcony railings, washing line ( I cleaned the washing line after I bought some pegs) etc were full of cobwebs. The property was poorly equipped, some examples - no laundry basket or pegs, no cooks knife which made preparing food for 8 difficult ( there were 2 bread knives!), no egg cups for 4 year old to have a boiled egg, no oven gloves, no tongs to turn steaks or chops with. No salt or rinse aid in the dishwasher - none available to refill. No working lights above hob - so you are cooking completely in your shadow and have to keep standing back to see what's going on. A table outside that is only big enough to seat 6, yet the house sleeps 8 (6 chairs were provided and another 2 added when we first arrived, but we could not get them all around the table). A sunbed for one - at least provide 2 or 4, not expecting 8, but one? and covers that desperately need a launder. A beautiful balcony to the master bedroom at the front and no furniture to sit and admire the view? A puzzle with 3 pieces missing written on the box - really - just throw it away! I could go on... 2 points essential to mention - the iron is cracked and you can see/access the bare wires, this needs urgently addressing. So, too does the decking planking that has fallen away at the side of the property and has protruding nails. As a family of 3 generations who regularly hire houses around the country, usually in the summer and always pay in the region of £2k, it's one of the worst we have experienced. We will not be returning. Clearly you do get repeat business, I can see this from the guest book - maybe they made off with everything that's missing - but that doesn't excuse the poor cleanliness. .”

“Cannot say thank you enough to the staff, had a bit of a medical issue part way through and they were fantastic. From start to finish it has been an amazing experience for our first time on the Broads, it is one of the most special places I have ever been to. The boat was amazing, but with hindsight it was too big for us and the dog so it was a bit scary to manoeuvre and moor, I felt we maybe needed a title bit more tuition, that is not a reflection on ferry marina, more us for selecting the wrong boat. Special thanks to Tanya and Jo, we will definitely come back.”

“On arrival we were greeted by friendly, relaxed and totally efficient staff. Just what one wants at the start of a holiday-no hassle, the rest of the week was exactly the same perfectly relaxed and hassle free. I have wanted to go on a broads holiday since I was six years old so now that our granddaughter is six we took the opportunity. However, she insisted on bringing her parents with her. I cannot recommend Ferry Marina highly enough, there is nothing I can complain about which is annoying as Victor Meldew is my hero.”

“Second time we have hired a boat from Ferry Marina - the boat was spotlessly clean as before. We had a small problem with one of the toilets on board during our trip, but a member of staff was sent to fix it without delay! We have hired boats on the Broads from other boat yards, but Ferry Marina has the nicest boats and the most friendly and helpful staff by far! We were only back home for a week and we’ve already booked our next trip!”

“Efficient service - arrived a little early but no hassle we were called (as promised) when Quartz Emblem was ready. The booklet provided was just the job with tips etc and the boatyard layout plans were really useful. In short I would be very happy to use Ferry Marina again, and, in fact, probably will.”
