“well, I ordered my boots on line and instead of getting them posted direct to me I chose Click n Collect at your Guildford Store (30 miles away but the nearest one to me) so that in the event of the boots not fitting properly I could return them to the shop. HOW WRONG WAS THAT?? I gather from my conversation with Sam yesterday that your shops never accept returns that have been purchased on line and never give refunds anyway. that of course is their prerogative and within the law but IT IS UNUSUAL as every store I know will give a refund if the item is exactly as bought with tags etc and walking boots need to be worn around the house to make sure they will carry you long distances! so I am concerned about this, I feel you should make this clear on your website, that your web business is completely separate from your shops. I would then have simply got you to post the boots to me instead of making a special journey to Guildford for them. btw Sam, at Guildford was very helpful but it was obviously difficult for him to have to explain all this to me!”

“I bought 2 pairs of walking boots and they are fantastic. They are excellent quality and very well priced. They arrived within a week and it was in the run up to Christmas. Will order from Field and Trek again.”

“Excellent replacement of faulty fleece, but horrendous click & collect service at Sheffield Sports Direct. As another customer said, this is the worst store in Sheffield. I shall not use Click & Collect again.”

“Prompt service however I ordered a ski jacket and ski sallopettes together. The ski jacket was cancelled by field & trek due to no stock availability (email 08.01.16 15.05) but the sallopettes were still sent desipte cancelling my order (email 08.01.16 16.40) 1 hour and 35 minutes after receiving the email to say the jacket had been canceclled. There was no telephone number to speak to a customer advisor. Email reference Reference: CAS-1886875-C8Q9Z4. So at a cost of £4.99 to sent sallopettes that were not required and a further £2.80 to return them, I am out of pocket by £7.79. Surely a telephone call from Field & Trek to ask if the sallopettes were still required made common sense. Unless the email is followed up by Field and Trek and a reimbursement for my postage, I'd be very reluctant to order from them again or recommend.”

“If I'd have known that you ship via Yodel then I would not have ordered from you. Yodel are just about the worst courier coming going. Waited in all day and they came on Friday night at 8:30pm by which time I'd given up and gone out. On Saturday after waiting in all day again they came again at 7pm - we were out. If I ever received the goods then I'll review them.”
