“I tried my local Sports Direct store for walking boots. There was nothing suitable. They suggested I try Field and Trek in Betws y Coed so I drove down there....a good trip from where I live. Again there was no boots that were right so I ordered a pair of Berghaus Lady Explorer Goretex boots on line for click & collect at my local Sports Direct. Basically unlike other retailers whose Click & Collect I have used, I was charged £4.99 delivery. In return I received a £5 Sports Direct voucher. I would have much preferred free Click & Collect like other retailers offer. I couldn't try them on in store without 'collecting' them & checking them out , I was then told I can't return them to store but have to send them back myself if they aren't right. Despite the boots being the same make, model and size as my old Berghaus boots they are too small....perhaps the last has changed since I bought my last pair... If they had had any stock of Berghaus boots in either of the two shops I would have known that... Now I have to post them back at my own expense... So basically its cost me £5 for a voucher I don't want and it will be another £5 to return them. Needless to say I will not be shopping with Field and Trek or Sports Direct on line again... A very disappointing experience...”

“Jacket delivered to Sports Direct quickly however it was the wrong size. Field and Trek emailed bit no reply. Impossible to find a phone number for Field and Trek. Sports Direct phone number ringing out. I am currently stuck with a jacket that does not fit and cannot get in touch with the company to speak to them. Very poor service”

“Love all the cosy fleeces which I purchased in their sale. I bought a variety of various makes, craghoppers, berghaus, karrimor and helly hansen. All fitted well, all cosy and nice colours. Delighted with all my purchases.”

“I was expecting to be able to return items to sports direct as you can collect from there. You can't, you have to post back to distributor at your own cost, after paying £6 for delivery I was disappointed at this. Poor customer experience and I'll be avoiding purchasing from field and trek in the future if I can”

“The service was good at every point as are the prices. However your size guides seem quite inaccurate which has led to me having to return half of the the items which is disappointing. I one case the same brand and type of garment were quite different in size even though they were both XL. Neither fit.”

“Ask for an exchange ( you forward me a size 9.5UK, when 10UK was requested ). The exchange I received today, is yet again a size 9.5UK. Look at the lable, it say's UK 9.5 quite clearly. So once again I will be returning these trainer's, no exchange ( refund please ) needed. Not a happy bunny. Dave Padgett”
