We chose first home improvements as we were impressed with the product that was offered. The sales team that visited were friendly and thorough outlining every step of how things would proceed and quoted a price we were happy with. The day of the installation was smooth and the team that fitted the windows were freindly and polite they outlined what the plan was and got on with the job. They explained everything they had done and fully cleaned up. The whole experience was very good and i have recommended first to others.

Installed in two visits doubt over lack of lintels on lounge and kitchen windows but both installations were done fast and cleanly. Increase in temperature without heating was felt instantly. Now ordered the replacement of a dowdy and leaky front door.

We recently had several windows and a French door installed. The installation was completed by Ben and John and it was quick and efficient, despite the fact they had to deal with awful weather conditions. They were both polite and courteous and cleaned up before they left the property. The windows look good and I have noticed a reduction in the level of noise I can hear from outside our property. The reason I have given 4 stars is the back office felt slightly disorganised . We had our date of installation changed a few weeks before the originally agreed date and the scaffolders which were required arrived on 3 separate occasions to erect it (although the scaffolders themselves were excellent and very polite)

Fitters very polite work hard A+for cleaning up.David fitted safely bars very polite explained how to use the window locks. Rang customer service twice person out of office, next time in a meeting left messages he said pass on the message didn't get back.

Really pleased with the windows and the fitting team. The original salesman who came round was also really good, he made all the information clear to us and didn't put any presure on us. The only negative from the entire experience was the tactics that were later used to get another salesman into our house. He was supposedely coming around to check our windows were fitted correctly and then give us a voucher for future work. But what he was actually coming around for was to give us a quote on more work and then pursuade us to buy that very day with a deal that would immediately expire. No window checking took place, no voucher was issued to us. It was a waste of our time, we were not impressed.

Standard of work and friendliness of the installers was excellent. However, whilst the original salesman was polite and helpful, the sales techniques he was having to employ were like something out of the 1970s! Old fashion and boring. Two and a half hours of our lives that we will never get back. This is NOT a modern and effective sales technique. It needs to be much snappier. As it is it either bullies or bores people into signing up, or turns potential buyers off completely. If the former is intended, then shame on you! Luckily, for First Home Improvements, we recognised that the product was good, otherwise we would have fallen into the latter category. As for the survey, we fail to understand why the physical survey took about 15 minutes and the 'know it all' surveyor then had to spend over an hour in our house writing up his notes. Should he not do this at home or in the office? In short, good product and helpful friendly fitters. Sales and survey methods stink.
