“Pretty satisfied with your customer service. But you chose the wrong delivery company (I chose DPD 48 hr, but finally Royal Mail came), and it is not faster than the free shipping. Thus, I require your company repay my shipping payment for £8.95. Thanks. Jixing”

“Good overall service and good prices. However I purchased an item on a Monday, paid extra for next day delivery but it actually took 3 days (arrived the day after the job i had ordered it for). So save yourself some money and go for the cheaper 2-3 day postage option.”

“Very Good service, my order arrived the next day via Royal Mail. I would have given 5 stars except for the fact that the extra information on my address label to help the couriers find us was not printed completely. I expect their address field could not cope. As it was Royal Mail they did not need the information anyway because they know where we are, so in this case it did not matter, but other companies are able to print the label fully.”

“Really good binos, took me a while to get the focus right, a bit fiddly but now they are set up nicely and the image quality is superbly bright and clear. Have used them for two birding sessions and can't complain so far. Reasonably light and comfy to wear and hold, nice simple design.”

“Best price I could find for genuine Panasonic battery. Lots of much cheaper unknown branded stuff around. But due to fire risk not prepared to take a chance. Out of stock when ordered but re-stocked within a week or so. No complaints. Good company to deal with.”

“I ordered the walkstool 60 a few weeks ago as it was out if stock. I was kept up to date about stock delivery and delivery times to me and received it yesterday so all in all a good job. The stool appears to be the genuine article and is really well put together. I've only tested indoors so far but can't wait to put it to the test in the great outdoors. The only quibble I have is that I was charged VAT on the delivery charge as well as the stool. It's only a few pence, but it's not necessary.”

“Ordered a Tripod for next day delivery but the carriers DPD failed to deliver. Fotosense sorted it out but a shame DPD let them down. Otherwise good service and well packaged.”

“The item ordered was out of stock, which I knew when ordering. As a consequence, I received confirmation of the order from PayPal but nothing from fotosense themselves - mildly unsettling but not too much so. The payment was taken from my Bank, as anticipated, but still nothing from fotosense. It wasn't until I checked (pretending to order again as a new customer) that I saw the item was now back to available. Then came that egg-on-face moment ....... I queried the status of the order direct with fotosense and literally about 10 minutes later the door bell went. One delivery from fotosense via Royal Mail 'Signed For' service. The main thing lacking in the transaction was communication. No order acknowledgement, no "Sorry, it's out of stock but the target date is xx/xx/xxxx", no notification of despatch, absolutely nothing till the doorbell rang. The actual transaction was handled perfectly satisfactorily but the lack of communication was a little perturbing. OK, not a big order (£70) but not knowing the status of the order has been a little off-putting. Previous transactions with fotosense (for 'in-stock' items) have been flawless and still show up on 'My Account' but this latest still hasn't appeared. At a guess, somehow the order hasn't tied across to previous transactions although the name/address/etc was picked up perfectly. A glitch in the system, no doubt, but just sufficient to take the frissant of pleasure off the order overall. As a side note - it's pretty darned annoying to find that an out-of-stock item reappears but now without postal charges. It's not the cost (£4), just the thought that I've had to wait for restocking when waiting and retaining the money would have had the same end effect but cost less. Tweak needed perhaps?”
