“I bought the smallest amount of milk kefir starter and it arrived promptly and has worked well. Can’t see why anyone would buy a kit though. Any kitchen where people cook has the necessary jars and deuce in it.”

“I ordered the starter as I was concerned somehow despite comments to the contrary on the Web ie that starters go on indefinitely; my existing starter which I used successfully for a few years had stopped being as effective and my loaves were not rising as well as they did. I followed the instructions to the letter and my loaves are now back to being well risen. I was surprised by the use of plain flour to maintain the starter but it seems to work!!”

“My scoby's arrived promptly (I was generously given 2 even though I ordered and paid for 1!). I am pleased to say that the first batch seems to be doing well, haven't tasted yet as its still in its second ferment. Looking forward to experimenting with flavours and making more scobys to share with my friends and work colleagues. Absolutely love the taste of Kombucha. The instructions are clear online. Thanks guys !”

“Excellent results with my cultures, with all bacteria alive and kicking. Particularly delighted with my Filmjolk, which is delicious. I expained to my son about heirloom cultures and he is intreagued by our 'immortal' yoghurt.”
