“I ordered the smallest package of kefir grains. The ones I received were so small that they looked like milk or kefir rests. I had to leave them 2 weeks to rest and let the grow changing milk on daily basis, so I couldn’t make use of them straight away. They have grown now and starting to work normally. Be patient!”

“I ordered the sourdough starter and feed it 3 times as recommended, but I would have expected it to be much stronger. Maybe it will improve in time, therefore only 3 stars.”

“We recieved the Gluten Free Sourdough starter ok. No problems dealing with the Company. However, despite our best efforts we could not get the starter working well. Our numerous attempts to make GF sourdough bread have all failed and we have sadly given up. This is 2 months down the line from receiving the starter. I have made beautiful 'normal' sourdough from starter friends have given us, but we have come to the conclusion that Gluten free sourdough bread is impossible.”

“I will give 3 stars .. delivery was on time .. and my order complete. And all my starters worked after a few days .. but the kombucha was out of date and must have been so when it was posted. I know it still worked but what the point of a date if its sent out regardless if its out of date or not ... some would have tossed it. apart from that the price is a bit to high for me.”

“It works, the kefir arrived on time. I ordered the small size. The first batch took a few days to get going but it’s coming along nicely now. I would recommend it and would buy more products when required.”

“The San Francisco sourdough culture arrived safely packaged thank you....but it was not quite as 'sour' as I'd hoped. It took a couple of days revival and, using my standard Chad Robertson SF recipe, the loaves I make are pretty much the same as usual (DELICIOUS!), but still not 'sour' enough to the tastes of some of my regular domestic consumers! I'd have liked instructions on its revival without having to look it up and feel that a self-adhesive label could be attached to the plastic pouch. It's easy to keep alive and hasn't proved a problem at all. Good to be using plain flour too. 05.12.19 With reference to length of bulk fermentation time, depending on my schedules, I frequently use extended times - even 36 hours isn't unknown! I get excellent oven rise and burst.”

“The product order #25614 didn't work so I emailed on 28 August asking for advice. Unfortunately the reply did not make it through to me. After my initial review Freshly Fermented contacted me & I was offered a replacement or refund, which I accepted.”

“I wasn't able to active my water kefir. The milk kefir is still seems to be getting going so can't yet judge how good it is (it's on it's 3rd ferment, so expecting nice kefir soon)”

“Service and product is great. But I find that there isn't enough clear instructions on the website for a dummy like me and an absolute beginner with breads who has millions of questions. Had to go google it and found some info on another site to which I rely on now until I learn”
