Avoid avoid avoid brought a corner sofa had it 3 months and it’s already got lots of creases in it called them up they said that happens to leather sofas.. I said not this early it shouldn’t.. they sent someone out to look at it.. I got an email saying there’s no fault 😡 I’m fuming.. so I’ve waisted £1500 on a sofa that’s 3 months old that looks like I’ve had it years.. I meant to put no stars..

We purchased 6 dining chairs from this company for delivery in Spring 2020. Within 2 and a half years the material at the join between backrest and seat start to open up. Within a further 3 months the material has split completely on 3 of the 6 chairs. Prior to this, within the first 12 months, a weld on one chair leg fractured causing the chair to become unstable and potentially dangerous. That was replaced under warranty. Only 2 of the chairs are in regular daily use and neither my wife nor I are big, heavy people. On taking this up with Furniture Village they directed me to Homeserve to have the chairs re-covered air my expense. The 3 chairs which have not split so far have probably only ever been used by our young grandchildren, so hardly surprising they remain intact. I believe that anyone should expect such items to survive for much longer than 3 years of careful use. In my experience, the goods this company sells are shoddy and poor quality. If you expect your furniture to last, avoid buying from Furniture Village.

We received our 2 sofas just before Christmas as we had moved back in to our house which was being redecorated. We had pre arranged for delivery of the sofas prior to Christmas. They arrived on 13th December 2022 but due to decorating and repairs being undertaken the delivery men left the sofas unpacked. The work was completed on 23rd December and we unpacked the sofas and found a small blemish on one of the seats. We reported this immediately and provided photos of the defect and received a call today from Furniture Village from a very unhelpful member of staff to say that as we did not unpacked the sofas within 7 days of delivery they will not replace the defective item. We explained as we did to the delivery men that we could not uncover the sofas as works were in progress. The representative offered to refund us £60 which is unacceptable given that the have delivered a faulty item of furniture. I asked if we could make a complaint but was advised that they do not have a complaints procedure in place. We have just spent over 5k with Furniture Village and will never purchase another item from them again unless this gets resolved. One very unhappy customer.

I have ordered 2 wardrobes, bed and mattress. All my items are arrived in damaged conditions. Awful customer service, still waiting something to be done. I have spent £10000 in store. My biggest regret. Wished someone warned me. Please stay away from this people.

Very poor service i order a marble dining table, sofa set, 2 chairs, 1 bench, 1 Devan bed, head board and total was £10500 in june 2022. The deliver took more the 10 weeks ok understood. But only Devan bed was deliver and no mattress so i accepted just the devan. but with in few day i could see it was broken. And then mattress was delivered in 2 weeks. But since it was broken for 3 weeks i continue call customer service for the devan was collected and refunded. Also asked that the mattress is not needed anymore as it make no sense for me having just the mattress and not the bed. But the didn't acknowledge the problem. On calling again they are not ready to collect the mattress and asking me to pay for an individual inspection to be done for them to pay attention. Also the bench they send was not polished and the wood splinter in my palm while cleaning it was bleeding and was took 1 day for me to pull the leftover bit from 1.5cm long piece. I made a big mistake of ordering furniture from them.

Bought 2 sofas 2 months ago. Sagging already. Customer service non existent. Worst cowboys i have ever dealt with. Just been informed this rubbish is made in CHINA. They won't tell you that BEFORE you part with the cash!!!

Absolute rubbish company damaged wardrobe delivered in Sep and now it's December in the end organised for them to collect it. No further delays in making my payment. STAY AWAY THEY DO NOT KNOW WHAT CUSTOMER SERVICE IS AND THE MANAGERS NEVER RING BACK....

I would never purchase anything from this company as they sent us the wrong size mattress and then their customer service was horrendous with further delays and promises along with some attitude and no concept of how to look after people. Worst company we have ever bought from and we certainly won't be returning. On top of this they wouldn't even consider us purchasing the incorrect mattress at a reduced price for our daughters room and wanted it back, which I would expect will be sold as new when it was slept on for the last 4 weeks.

Bed arrived and the 2 man team attempted to assemble only to find the inserts were incorrectly located and consequently the bolts were too short. Another insert in another location just rotated when attempt to secure brackets was made. Lower foot board to side was badly aligned and unable to be correctly located. 3 weeks on and various misleading information issued by the village furniture aftercare has made me realise it is all lip service and no real intention to remedy the situation. I have set a dead line which will bring it to 1 month from delivery then its ombudsman to start with. Bottom line stay away from them !

DELIVERY my delivery has changed 3 times now response i get is there has been a fire at the foam warehouse . when i bought the sofa, chair they told me 6 weeks its now 12!! . but they were quick to take my money . i will never deal with this company again

Stay away from this company! The 20yr structural guarantee is worthless and one big scam and they will mis-sell insurance policy too making you feel safe buying. When your furniture finally turns up it and then completely falls apart they will not care and will do nothing and tell you uts all your fault. Now have to pay for independent assessment to take them to small claims court. Needs closing down!

I've used them before but I've had terrible problems this time and their customer services is appalling. They never ring back, have no information, constant excuses - take your money and don't care what happens afterwards.

We went to Furniture Village Leicester Fosse Park to look for a sofa. Paddy approached us in an informal manner and listened to our requirements and budget, he then made good suggestions, which led us to purchase a sofa which met our needs and budget. He is a valuable asset to the store; without his assistance, we would have most likely left because the other salespeople lacked his level of knowledge and engagement.

Furniture Village - Terrible Aftersale Service and Faulty Products We bought a top of range bed with mattress from furniture village costing £4000, but this has been the most painful experience we have ever had with any company. Delivery was a painful process, with missing parts etc, but when we eventually received everything, the product was faulty and it took them over 6 months and multiple home visits to try to repair it. They have eventually admitted to have sold us a faluty product that is not fit for purpose, but they would refund the bedframe, but not the mattress .... even though they sold us the bed and mattress as one set. With a customer rating of a mere 1.3 from over 800 reviews, I am surprised the company is still in business.

Don’t ever order from furniture village. Complete cowboys so much for 20 year guarantee !! Having a real fight with them at the moment furniture fit for the dump after 8 weeks and suspect delivery man asking if I lived alone!! Having to pay for a private review on the sofa

Ordered a ottoman lift bed back in September 2020 due to covid etc didn’t take delivery of the item till February 2021(no communication for FV to say it was delayed I had to chase this) bed arrived and was faulty- very poorly manufactured. They ordered and sent replacement parts (brilliant) oh no they didn’t fit !!! Order a totally new bed in a different fabric took delivery of that but again very poorly made- awful upholstery so refused the delivery- went back to store again and ordered again a new bed from a different manufacturer- took delivery of that one in august 2021 - was very happy with it- until May of this year 2022 when I reported a fault! Customer service got back to me with what I needed to do, from photos I sent they decided they could order parts for it to be fixed ! Fast forward to July and I’m still chasing for when the bed will be fixed - parts had been at the store for over a month and no one had notified me- fantastic! Go to store to collect the parts (should be 3 ) nope only 1 there, nobody knows where the other 2 are and to this day still not arrived!!! Arrange for the team (home serve)to come out and fix the bed- they didn’t turn up, they forgot to notify me!!! Book another appointment on an escalation, so it can not be cancelled - yep it gets cancelled ! We are now in October and I have another appointment booked, the poor team drove all the way from Dudley to change 1 part on my bed but it does need 3 (still have no idea where they are) the team tell me that although they have changed the part it’s actually unsafe to use ! The ottoman CAN NOT be lifted as it literally slams back down and would cause beyond serious damage! All the bolts in the bed were nothing but ‘finger tight’ - the original team hadn’t put it together properly so was slowly just coming undone!!! So the current situation is I have a ottoman lift bed that I can not use, the bed has now started clunking again just by sitting on it! Someone promised me they would ring me back with Information 2 weeks ago - nothing , I rang again yesterday to find out what’s happening again promised an email by end of play yesterday/today , yep you guessed it - nothing ! The hours I have wasted either on the olphone, emailing or going into store is too many to count! No one is reimbursing me for the phone bill, parking money, 2 days off work and at least another one when they supposedly come again to try and fix it!! Turns out the mattress is too heavy for bed I was sold (Although the store were not aware of this, so can not really be blamed ). I’m out of options as to what to do now hence a public review! I want the bed collected and a full refund minimum! I’m gutted to write this as we have had other furniture from here and it’s been brilliant lasted well and service has been fab but this totally overshadows it unfortunately.

Stay away from them. I waited for 2 months for my bed to be delivered (with delay) and on the delivery day, the driver said he cannot park on the road which is absolutely wrong. So I went downstairs and met them and confirmed with them they can park for 1h. But they still refused it and proposed to drop the bed but not to assemble it. I am so lost as I have paid the assembly fee and they are saying this. Finally, the driver left with my bed and now I have to find a new bed somewhere else. What a great waste of time! Thanks furniture village!!!

We paid neatly £4,000 for a dining room table and chairs also a sideboard to match..Italian... In September 2020. When the furniture arrived the hinges on the sideboard were broken and the soft close. A replacement was ordered, and delivered in February 2021 but when it arrived and the delivery guys unpacked it, one of the doors was completely off, so they did no more but packed it up and took it back! Phoned furniture village 3x in February to complain, no response. Phoned 3x in March, no response, then again in April 2021. Eventually an engineer was sent out and he glued the hinges!!!! Fine until now soft close off again. Now the dining table chairs are de- laminating and disintegrating!!! This shouldn't happen after just two years! Phoned customer services 4 times now and emailed photos across to them which they have asked for! NO RESPONSE!!! We are just being ignored. They don't want to know, hoping you will go away!!!! I won't and will take it further! I'm getting sleepless nights worrying about this, but furniture village don't care once they have your money. We paid cash. Please consider buying from Furniture Village, there is no aftercare!!!!
