I agree with everything that is being said on here about this company. I cannot stress enough, DO NOT ORDER from Furniture Village! I ordered and paid Chelmsford store almost £5000 order in May 2021. I have made 100's of calls to the store and as others on here say unable to get through. I have spoken to their complaints resolver multiple times. Always told my furniture is "in the wrong warehouse" and issue will be escalated and resolved. Today, yet another failed delivery "because my order is in the wrong warehouse". Where it has been for months. Just over a week ago Store Manager phoned me and said he has organised for order to be deliver today. Then late yesterday afternoon I get an email saying it won't be delivered today because, guess what? IT'S IN THE WRONG WAREHOUSE!! Furniture Village seems incapable of getting my order simply moved to the correct warehouse so that it can be delivered to me. Like others on here, I moved house and have virtually no furniture, including table and chairs. Christmas and family few weeks away. Perhaps we should take our Christmas Dinner and sit at my paid for table In The Wrong Warehouse. I will never recommend this company.

Still waiting for sofas nearly 6 months after ordering. Just received an email to say possibly after Christmas now. I would lose my deposit of over £500 if I chose to cancel my order. Will never order from them again.

Just as I thought Furniture Village could not get any worse, they have. After cancelling my order for dining suite because they kept lying about delivery (3+ broken delivery promises) the cost was £2353.00 but when I cancelled they deducted £588.25 because I cancelled, they then said the money would be in my bank(£1764.75) within 7-10 days. Well after 14days no money. Please go elsewhere if you are looking for furniture because if there is a problem with your delivery through Furniture Village you with have a nightmare trying to sort it out as they wont be bothered. Also if you put a post on a review site Furniture Village give a reply that apologise and that someone is looking into it and will contact you, that probably wont happened.

In June 2020 we ordered a new dining set with a matching cabinet (order number 640401195) to go in our newly purchased home which we was moving into in August. We was told it was 16 weeks for delivery which would be the end of October, this would mean that we would go without a dining table for a couple of month which isn’t ideal but we thought it wouldn’t be too much of an issue, what’s a couple of months! 19th October- we receive an email stating that due to the ongoing effects of the pandemic our order will now be delivered in mid-December. Yesterday (22nd November) we receive another email stating that there is a possibility delivery may be put back beyond Christmas and to hold on to existing furniture. We don’t have any existing furniture because I am in a new house!! We placed this order in June and now you’re saying it might not be here until after Christmas!! This is completely unacceptable !! Where the hell is our family meant to sit for Christmas dinner? On the floor??? Our first Christmas in our new home now going to be ruined because of your lack of transparency. Why after almost 6 months can you not give us a delivery date? If we had of know it was going to take this long we would never have placed the order!! The lack of customer service, communication and transparency shown by furniture village has been appalling. What excuses are you going to use for that, Covid? We will never be ordering from furniture village again and I won’t be recommending them to anyone. I am going to put a review up on every single online forum and social media platform to let people know what an absolute disgrace this company is. Merry Christmas!!

Terrible company. Virtually impossible to phone. Constantly put my order back. I moved into my new house 2 months ago and I still have no furniture to sit on. Orders constantly put back and told today it will be sometime in 2022. I ordered in July. Avoid.

Suprise suprise its another bad review. Ordered 4 dinning chairs back in may. Told me deliver would be in September but they had no contact with me untill they I rang at which point was told it would be October ... Then same story when it came to October. Then end of November came and was delivered two of the four chairs. No once has anyone rang us or emailed apart from selling us other stuff. Just go to sofology

We have been left with a faulty bed delivered over two weeks ago. It is an ottoman that does not lift as doesn’t have all the parts. Contacted by some resolution department and another person to say they’d call back. Nothing. Emailed. Nothing. This is shocking and we have had no contact from customer service despite sending numerous emails

Atrocious. Wish we'd read these reviews before looking and placing our order in May. We would have avoided FV. Our experience is the same as many other customer reviews here. Our latest delivery promise is now December. Each time we call about a promised delivery date it's pushed back another month. Ready to cancel the order and try to get our deposit back, very concerned to read that FV even make this very difficult. What a dreadful company, if you read these reviews whilst thinking of placing an order think twice. It's clearly not a customer problem or customers being unreasonable, this company should be avoided.

Terrible company. Please avoid. I cancelled an order nearly 3 weeks ago,still no refund. Fobbed off by 5 different members of staff every excuse used. It takes up to 10 working days to process done that. Admin have gone home phone back tomorrow. Done that. I will send an email to admin to action your refund you will receive an email confirmation tomorrow still waiting. They are behind and I’ll have too wait. Disgusting service Disgusting company

Ordered 2 sofas in July was quoted 16 weeks for delivery got a phone call today, it will not delivered until January. Apparently it’s it was expected to dock this month and is delayed. Seriously regret buying from them! Never again!

Ordered a mattress from the Staines store on the 3rd of September. Salesman crossed out the bespoke aspect of the sales agreement during purchase to confirm the with holding of 25% of the full cost didn't apply if I cancelled. Delivery date kept being put back so I spoke to the sales manager is staines on the 28th of October and he said he was unable to contact the supply as the supplier had not accepted the order, confirmed a full refund was eligible then refused to call me back. 3 store visits 10 calls to customer service, 35 call back request left on the furniture village website, 8 emails to reviews at furniture village and still no manager call back. Beware there is no formal complaints process or customer empathy durring after sales contact. Strongly suggest purchasing from another company.

Same experience as the rest. Sofa ordered in July, £400 deposit, advised 18 weeks lead time. No one called me or emailed me for updates on delivery then I called last Saturday to FV customer service centre as well as the Brighton store to find out my sofa could be potentially delivered by the 7th January. Advised today the manager will contact me and no one called. I asked for having my deposit back if I cancel the order and they told me it won’t be refunded. They asked me to send email to the store as well as to reviews@ If they do not solve this issue I will be reporting this to the FHIO as they are members of this organisation for breaching the purchase contract.

Been waiting for a Sapporo dining table chairs and sideboard since June. It’s now mid November and the promised delivery from September has still not happened. They never call you and are hard to reach. It’s terrible customer service but pre pandemic they were good. Gone down hill massively. Considering cancellation now.

I have reached to that point that I feel that there is nothing more I can do to get my case sorted. Dealing with Furniture Village people is just frustrating. Call after call to try to get through with my case, even dropping into the shop several times haven’t sorted anything!!! They would never say they won’t do it but, nothing gets done. I have an agreement with Hitachi one of their lenders when placed my order which I was told that will be delivered in 16 weeks time due the Covid-19 delays however that time was doubled and in the END one of my furnitures was never delivered due of “perfect organisation” they have in order to get things done!! In the end I achieved to cancel the furniture that was missing but even one year later I am still paying for something that I have never received! Is just so frustrating. How hard is that, all they have to do is, get in touch with their lender and notify them to reduce the principal agreement so I can pay the right amount… Again I can’t describe in words the frustration that I am going through paying for a furniture that I have never received. And having to cope with inefficiency of a “prestigious” UK customer service Brand. Avoid at all cost any trouble with this company

Wouldn’t recommend Wouldn’t recommend, doesn’t even deserve 1 star. Ordered my sofa in June to be told 11 weeks, now it’s November I’m 8 months pregnant without a sofa as was told it was going to be delivered by the 6th after delays so had ours removed. Will not be ordering from here again! Also requested for the store manager to call 3 times and still haven’t heard a thing.

very bad customer services. Bought items more than £4000 since May. Throw pillows part delivered.i bought 3 pairs ( 6 in number) 3 in number were delivered .I phoned for more than 10 times went to the shop more than 3 times yet i have not received my remaining pillows. And no refund or replacement has been made . They did not even contact me for the missing items. no email to write to. I would have given zero star if is possible. If I have to write my bad experience with this shop the whole page will not contained it. What a useless shop with very bad customers and delivery services.

no return phone call no direct phone number for the chester branch 20 minutes minimum to get though to a call center and then to be put on hold for the call to just turminate. wrong color feet on our new sette and what we believed to be a british company our sweet came from china. would never buy from them again.

Purchased a sofa told the salesman prior to purchase it looked like a friends that started peeling. He was adamant it was genuine ITALIAN LEATHER. After six months it started peeling now 7 years on in is in a terrible state. Feel like dumping it on their doorstep. This item was not fit for purpose. Have purchased several thousand pounds worth of stock will NEVER buy anything else from this store. I reported it but no one was ever interested. Now looking for another one of course will not set foot in Furniture Village again.
