We ordered a lot of furniture in August making it perfectly clear that we couldn't accept delivery until the earliest December as we were having a major renovation on the house From November the warehouse have been bullying us to accept the furniture. There has been a little delay in the work so we asked if we could take deliver this coming w/b 13th January. The shop (Plymouth) were great and said that was no problem, but unfortunately their staff in the warehouse don't sing to the same tune Plymouth warehouse, I don't want to hear about your policies and procedures as to why I have to take delivery when you say. Our 'contract' was with the shop, not you. If you have a problem with what the shop tell us then talk to them and stop hassling the clients Shop staff were lovely and helpful. Warehouse staff? Oh dear!

Our goods are sitting in the warehouse but no one will call you back to arrange delivery. Spoke to girl who did not care. Said tgey will not call us because tgey shut shop and all went out so they will not call for 72 hours. She didn’t even take my name so how does she know.

Do not buy a sofa from furniture village unless you want to wait exactly 24 weeks for your sofa. They will take alot of your money ,then when you need help. It is the fulfilment team. Who never call you back. Terrible experience!!

However, when an issue arose, they outright refused to honor the warranty, despite their promises. Not only were their claims about the warranty misleading, but their after-sales service was appalling. When I called customer service to address the issue, the staff were extremely aggressive and unprofessional over the phone, making the experience even worse. Furniture Village also misleads customers with claims that their bedroom wardrobes have great cover and durability, but this is far from the truth. This company is unreliable, with false promises and shocking customer service. Avoid this cowboy company at all costs. This is a terrible company. We made an order with them on the first of June 2024 for 2 sofas and 4 beds. We received the sofas slightly late which wasn’t too bed but 2 beds got delivered 4 months late and another bed got delivered 5 months late and faulty so it went back and we haven’t received it since it’s now 6 months on and no there’s no help from customer service either. And mine and my husbands bed was recently delivered 6 months late and the delivery men put a rip in the side. They said they’ll replace it but who knows when. Avoid this company they will take your money and leave you waiting for your goods for months and don’t expect any help from them if it’s faulty they just say I’ll get back to you.

Like others have said, wish I had done my homework before buying from this joke of a company. Dealt with MK store who promise the earth then don't deliver. Customer Service is non existent. Calls not returned, complaints not followed up. Orders not delivered when promised, then when they are delivered, missing parts which as yet haven't arrived. Bought a sofa from Sofology which went very well - go there!

Inferior products, no customer care, worthless warranties, not fit for purpose Made in China Cheap materials 15 seperate faults found on a review A company that ignores multiple faults (15 in total) and makes you pay for your own independent review on their faulty products

I purchased a sofa, but the shop assistant, seemingly more focused on earning his commission, failed to inform me that in-store purchases cannot be returned or exchanged. However, returns are possible if the item is ordered online. The sofas are labeled as grey both in-store and online, but they are actually green. When I contacted customer service, they offered no assistance. The level of customer care was extremely poor. I would not recommend buying anything from Furniture Village and would advise others to avoid them. Their service is pleasant and helpful only until you make the payment—after that, they disregard your concerns.

I had purchased "Grigio Fixed Dining Table, Right-Hand Facing Corner Bench and Standard Bench Dining Set". After 1 year of usage, centre table started wobbling with fear of toppling over any time. I have been trying to get help from Furniture village customer care for 4 weeks but every time it is promised to get call back with your local partner to schedule visit but no update whatsoever. What is point of your gives confidence to customer during sales process of 20 year structural guarantee (20 Year Guarantee - Furniture Village) if you can't fulfil your obligation.

Absolutely horrendous service. Purchased a dinning room table and chairs that was delivered damaged. Waited months for a replacement to be delivered only to find out the 2nd one was faulty. No one gets back to you or attempts to sort the problem out. DO NOT USE THIS STORE!!

Avoid at all costs. Shoddy goods and appalling after care service. One of our recliners, less than a year old stated to drop on one side by 2cm. Despite having paid an extended warranty, FV and the insurers denied liability. They reluctantly sent round one of their technicians from Castelan who reported that the chair had dropped because we lent to one side when we sat on it. He did some work to the padding but lied in the report saying he had repaired the fault, which he clearly had not. If the issue was due to the way we sat in the recliner, how comes the other recliner and the settee haven't developed the same issue? An absolutely ridiculous accusation to make but it doesn't surprise me because social media is full of similar bad experiences from disgruntled customers. So my advice is to avoid this company but if you do happen to buy a settee and recliners, make sure you sit in them absolutely still and avoid leaning against the armrests, because they are so poorly built, they are likely to develop faults which FV and the insurers will blame on you and they will lie and scheme to avoid any liability.

We are still waiting for these people to respond to our query about our leather suite which both arms the filling disappeared,they said previously that this wasn’t covered in their guarantee,we stated that we paid £400 for their insurance which their sales agent advised,but what a surprise we haven’t heard back from them. If any body out there was thinking of buying from these cowboys think again you will say goodbye to your money because the guarantee they offer is rubbish they will dismiss you as being a nuisance.AVOID EVEN GOING INTO STORE,save your money.

Purchased a leather corner suite in 2023 which was delivered on 29th July 2023,but just over a year later both arms,the padding has completely disappeared,now we paid over £4500 plus £400 for insurance which covered the warranty that furniture village would not cover but when contacting them they said that their complimentary warranty didn’t cover the problem,but we took out the insurance that the sales agent recommended and that the problem with the suite was covered,all they seem to want to do is dismiss us as being a nuisance and we should just go away,but if they were to read their invoice they would see in black and white that the insurance premium was paid by us,we are not going to let this go.their after sales service is terrible .

We paid over £4500 for a corner suite and just over a year later both arms had the padding disappeared and they (furniture village)copped out by saying this wasn’t covered in the warranty, yet we paid £400 for the insurance which the sales person advised we did. So if you are thinking of buying from this lot be careful, they will find something not to cover it. They are absolutely not worthy of your custom, a completely sham company.The 5 year warranty isn’t worth anything, they will just find a reason not to cover it,yet why get it covered with £400 insurance as the sales person advised. It is a total rip off by Furniture Village.we wanted to add photos but this web site wouldn’t allow it

We bought a2 and 3 seater settee.after three days the material has all stretched and seats sunk apparently not a manufacturer fault.they sent someone to fix it he put foam under one of the seats.then said sorry there's nothing I can do.phoned ipswich furniture village and spoke to customer service.they said he said it is not a manufacturer fault.what a joke three days really. I ask if they would come and look for themselfs .the answer was no.we are now starting legal action.own up furniture village.please avoid these cowboy traders.you have been warned.

Appalling customer service after care. Purchased dining set comprising of table, bench & four chairs. Delivery no 1 - bench & table - bench was damaged. Delivery no 2 - 4 x chairs - 2 were damaged & 2 were incorrect model. Delivery no 3 - 1 chair OK, other 3 damaged. Agreements along the way for damage refunds, return refund & goodwill payment for inconvenience caused, but final email was £100 short. Frustrating 40 minute phone call to customer services this afternoon, to be advised they have no record of the agreed £100 goodwill payment. This was agreed via the Furniture Ombudsman! The entire process with customer services has been painful. I will never purchase from Furniture Village again & will be sure to share my experience with others.

Hi Kush thank you for your interest regarding our experience today at York FV Clifton Moor. My husband and I were very disappointed with the store managers lack of customer care regarding the change in pricing of the Grigio dining room suite. We had gone into store to purchase the said item but due to the £200 increase from seeing it originally 3days ago we asked questions we were then told by the salesman that the price would be honoured only then to experience the lack of empathy by the store manager, communication was performed at the coffee machine in the middle of the store and not at a desk. We are seriously considering purchasing the same or similar item from another retailer, where pricing is transparent and does not fluctuate so readily. I have tried to upload a photo of FV pricing but this function not able at this time.
