We bought 2 leather sofas which arrived last November. By January the stitching in parts was freying. Homeserve came to "repair" it, but within another month it was back to how it was before. They sent someone else out again, who said it was not a maufacturing problem, but excessive wear?! How exactly has that happened in a matter of months?? We have been told by Furniture Village we can seek legal advice, if we don't like their decision to do nothing. In the meantime we are left with sofas that we paid nearly 4K for, which look shabby

Bought a sofa arrived 6 weeks overdue with a broken leg, had to fix it ourselves as customer service didn't get back to us. The trust pilot reviews are suspicious and I wouldn't believe them do not buy from them , and if you do you were warned

I found a small defect on my new sofa and reported it to customer services as soon asit was noticed about 2 weeks after delivery. and reported it .. I was told that customers only have 7 days to report a defect otherwise they will not repair /replace it. Wish they had told me that when I bought it. Seems to be good cop out of avoiding guarantees and promises of a quality product and service are forgotten after 7 days. I would never recommend F.Village to anyone after this. They just didn't want to listen or even acknowledge they delivered a defective item .

Please do not believe all the good reviews you see on Trustpilot. They are a load of nonsense. I have had the most appalling experience with Furniture Village. Like many people here, I have found their Customer Services to be lacking in wanting to help customers resolve any issues. Writing to the CEO is just as useless. No one in that company is interested in listening to any issues. They are only interested in getting your money. After that, whatever goes wrong - they will not do anything. I bought the Fenchurch Bedroom Furniture. I had the 4 door tall mirrored wardrobes delivered and built on the 26th May 2023. I immediately noticed damage. This was reported to the fitters and Furniture Village. Just over two weeks and Furniture Village ignore emails, never return calls, do not listen to any requests and are vague when you speak with them. I still have no idea what is happening with this damaged furniture. I was willing to get it repaired, but I have lost confidence in them. I then asked for them to come and take the damaged furniture away and new furniture delivered. No response so I have now asked my credit card to refund me for these goods. Unbelievable the lengths people have to go through to get a response from Furniture Village. Do yourselves a favour and keep away from them. Will save a lot unnecessary hassle. I just do not know why Furniture Village behave in this manner. They cannot possibly get returning customers. They do not even deserve the one star given!

The wrong item delivered back in Dec 2022 and it took 6 months to correct their mistake and I had to chase them. I was offered a £30 refund for the inconvenience after spending £3k It does seem they could not care less once they've got your money. Avoid, poor service

First bought the Dante leather 3 piece, 100% leather. After being delivered I was not convinced it was all leather. The sofa on one side seemed to droop so Castletown came out . I asked the technician if to the suite was leather and he confirmed no it was not. Went back to store and chose the Cressida suite , paid extra for the better leather. Big mistake, so uncomfortable and still not convinced this is a 100% leather. I h ave had Castletown out several times regarding the cushions padding which started to fail after 3 months only to be told nothing was wrong. I will not be ordering anything from FV ever.

Our dining table is 4 years old, its grey with a pattern impressed in it, so obvious this had not been sealed properly because the paint has lifted in parts leaving bare wood. It does not sit in the sun, i clean it with damp then dry cloth. We did expect a new table but even after inspecter came out, furniture village offered £150.00, 🤔 that was good of them wasn't it, it cost us £1400!!!

Furniture village is without a doubt the WORST company I have ever purchased from. I purchased their legend classic back fabric corner sofa back in October of 2022 and I have had nothing but problems with furniture village since. The man who I purchased the sofa with in the Exeter store placed the order incorrectly by choosing the wrong feet, he let me know he would go back and change this error after we had left (as the store was closing). The sofa was then delivered with the wrong feet which the shop worker obviously didn’t go back and amend. The delivery drivers described these chrome feet as “shark feet” as they “chew up wooden flooring” at the time I did not mind as it was just human error that I thought would be fixed soon enough. We also purchased the “glide set” which was to go on the feet of the sofa as our wooden flooring downstairs was all brand new having only just moved into the house and renovating at the time, the glide set was not compatible with the chrome feet that the sofa had been delivered with and therefore were now no use to us despite being charged for them. I got in contact with furniture village to request the correct feet to be sent out to us. I waited 3 weeks for a response from their customer service who then let me know that they will order the feet and have them delivered in 4-6 weeks. I have still not received the correct feet for the sofa 7 months later and subsequently the chrome feet have done as the delivery men said and complexly dug in and marked our brand new flooring. I have received little communication from furniture village as I have been the one to call each time I have spoken with them and emailed them on multiple occasions with no responses I have also been passed around from department to department, no one has even apologised for all of the inconvenience this has caused and even told me “property damage needs to be reported within 7 days of delivery” and not acknowledged that the damage has occurred due to the time taken to re deliver the correct sofa legs. The company was quick enough to get in contact with myself regarding payment but when it comes to any issues with your order or property damage will NEVER be resolved! I have also been told that I will revive a call back to get this situation sorted out, 7 months later and I have never received any call backs from the company with the excuse that “the number is wrong” despite me calling 4 different departments on 10+ occasions to update my contact number to the correct one. I will never buy anything from this company ever again

Ripp Off Britain! Points to Consider: 1. furniture village is guilty of poor customer experience, adding to their failed [non]exceptional customer service. 2. furniture village has delivered products (not all) and services that my wife and I have paid for, yet they consistently fail to meet any of our expectations, which we are victims of business, sales, and marketing trickery. 3. furniture village has shown limited value in exchange for the products and services that my wife and I have paid for. 4. furniture village has an inconsistent business model that lacks trust and resembles 'sports direct', especially from our experience – it seems as though furniture village has taken our money and ran! 5. Peter Harrison (CEO) is not interested in the quality of product and/or customer experience, he is only interested in their money - he truly is fake and an architect of rip off britain. The delivery driver was drunk when he delivered our product, and chose to leave it outside of our house.

Do not buy from this company! I wish I had read the reviews about this company before I spent over 4 grand with them. I ordered a 3 seater and 4 seater sofa from them in early January, and was told that the delivery would be 9-11 weeks. 11 weeks came and I did not hear a word from them. I called the store multiple times and no one answered. I left message but no one returned my call. I went on their website to track the deliver and saw that they updated it with an expected delivery date which would have been before easter, so I got rid of my old sofas to make space for the delivery. The week past and I still didn't hear a word from them about the delivery. Again, I called the store no one took my call. I went online to try to make a complaint and that's when they sent an email apologising and using the war in Ukraine as an excuse (shameful!). I was then given a second expected delivery date and again they fail to deliver or communicate. After I made a second complaint that's when I got a call to say that they have the furniture in the warehouse, but that's not even the end of it. To date 17th May, I still have not received the furniture yet. They keep lying about the delivery and letting me waste time by making adjustment to my schedules to get this delivery which still haven't happen yet. I think all these customers should come together and make a law suit. It's ridiculous.

Absolutely shambles, 6 months to sort issues with purchases. We were left with boxes of wardrobes in bedroom for 2 months while they constantly lied about the time it would take to get the missing parts. Lied about refund. Do not waste your money, worst experience we have ever had with any company. After 6 months and staggering amount of calls, as they are incapable of any other way of communicating, we got £79 refund on £8000 worth of purchases. Hideous company to deal with.

Hi. I have a Nicoletti sofa bed which is not quite a month old but looks much older now with the pooling leather. I have been through the 'technician' nonsense. He was actually a nice man and felt much like I do about FV and Nicoletti. What makes me angry is that how can all the customers be wrong but FV is right? I have seen a lot of customers on here and on reviews.io who are very unhappy about these dreadful leather sofas. Something that I find pretty sinister is that if you look for any reviews for Nicoletti furniture, you find that, like FV, there are no reviews on the furniture sites that sell Nicoletti. Ditto on Nicoletti's own site...no cusromer reviews are allowed. If you look on FV Facebook page, reviews public posts are no longer permitted. Not surprisingly really, as, before they were disabled, the posts about customer service were terrible. This really doesn't help the customer make an informed choice before buying. Also, I sat on the sofa they have on display a few times and for long periods and there was no sign of pooling at all. I just posted this on a FB complaints page and thought I'd post it here too.

Shocking customer service. Three weeks after delivering damaged table and chairs, customer service management still haven’t taken full responsibility for resolving situation. Furniture Village policy means you can’t speak to a manager or, and it’s quite possible, you can but they won’t take the call for fear of having to actually fulfil the responsibilities they’re paid for. If you do chose to make a purchase via Furniture Village, make sure you pay at least in part by credit card as you may need to seek redress via Section 75 of the Consumer Credit Act

Great delivery guys. Sadly thats where the positive experience ended!! After a few months of very little use of my nearly £2k reclining sofa, I reported clunking noises, resulting in a manufacturers faulty mechanism, and a sliding feeling which is due to the padding, or lack of it. FOUR months later, numerous calls, unreturned callbacks, numerous ignored emails, the new mechanism has been fitted, but the seat padding was not rectified . I declined the repair with the blue foam, apparently how soft the seat had gone was not excessive, so the technician reported I lied about how often I sat on the sofa, and stated that I am only after a new sofa!!! HOW DISGRACEFUL!!! How dare he judge me like that! I am appalled at this!! I just want to sit comfortably with a bit of support!! Once they have your money, the so called After-care team do not care, and certainly are not interested in resolving issues. I have been fobbed off. Complete waste of my money to a company with NO care or concern.

I have never experienced anything like this in my life. My partner and I bought a couch from these fools back on 25th February from the White City Retail Park store in Trafford, Manchester. The sale was heavily due to the "guaranteed 4 week delivery" on this specific item, however 4 weeks pass and we hear nothing from them. We ring and ring to no answer so live chat tell us to go into the store (which is in Trafford, a 30 - 40 min drive away) so we do and they tell us the couch has been delayed until 21st April. No one bothered to contact us to tell us this, so we have been in our new house 3 weeks by this point sat on the floor. 21st April comes and we receive a phone call to confirm delivery for 26th April, in which they tell us to come back into the store to set up the finance and sign contracts which we do on 23rd April. While we're in there we find out they sent us the wrong email confirmation at the time of sale saying we paid more deposit than we did meaning there was less outstanding, the salesman says he does not know how this happened, but as we did not pay as much as the deposit listed on the email we didn't push them however this is just another example of their incompetency. 25th April comes around and we receive a text message to say your couch will be with you between 8:30am - 12:30pm tomorrow so we press the button to confirm time slot. At 1pm on the 26th April I am starting to get concerned as there's no sign of the couch, so I ring the delivery company who have told us FV have CANCELLED OUR DELIVERY due to us not signing the contracts - which we went into the store and did 3 days prior!!!! I have now wasted a day's holiday at work for no reason. The delivery company tell us they can't get in contact with the store to confirm what's going on, and tell us they can't do anything until they've spoken to the store but they can't get hold of them because they "don't pick the phone up or answer emails" don't we know it!!! The gentleman I spoke to at the delivery company actually told us to go in to the store and demand our delivery money back (£79). My partner managed to get through to the customer service team who also couldn't get hold of the store at first, but then managed to get through when the store confirmed the contracts have been signed and they "don't know what's happened". The soonest they can deliver is now Monday 1st May. My partner phoned the store 24 times yesterday to say cancel it we don't want it, after everything we don't want them getting another penny of our money. After speaking to a salesman from the store all day going back and forth they now say they can deliver the couch tomorrow, we will get £100 knocked off the total and can have 10% off any future sales (HA good one!!) to which we absolutely declined and told them we still want our deposit money back. The salesman told us to call back today to speak to the manager to initiate the cancellation process, to which we call back today and are told the manager has been sent home as he has suffered a death in the family and was shouting at customers. My partner is told there is nothing they can do without a manager present, but after being more insistent they then say they will call back with an update to which we say we will call back in an hour for an update ourselves and the salesman says "well I just won't answer"!!!! We are currently now at a complete loss on what to do, we don't even know if they have actually booked the delivery in for tomorrow and if this couch is going to turn up because no one will tell us anything. We have a busy weekend planned which we have been looking forward to for so long after the stresses of moving, that we now have to spend our morning tomorrow taking that dreaded drive back to the store to actually speak to someone and get some answers. These people are evil. They have completely ruined our experience of buying our first house, we have elderly family who have not been able to visit because we have nowhere to seat them. The lack of communication, empathy and downright human decency is absolutely bewildering.

DO NOT BUT FROM FURNITURE VILLAGE! I spent £5,100 on a new leather 3 piece suite (Missouri). The following fiasco took place over 6 months as Furniture Village’s customer service was absolutely appalling, the worse I have experienced! Over 40 emails were sent to them, virtually all were ignored. Requests were raised via their website (as their phone message tells you to use this so they can call you in 72 hours), Furniture Village never responded to those website requests and I lost count of how many times we had to ring Furniture Village (as they never rang us) and spent hours on the phone trying to get the issue resolved. I had 2 of their after care agents hang up on me. 1 of their call agents laughed to her supervisor in the background at my wife when she was complaining. Another agent sighed at my wife when we were complaining. We asked to speak to a manager over 10 times and we’re always told they had to raise a request for this to happen and that a manager would call us in 72 hours…NOT ONCE DID A FUR ITURE VILLAGE MANAGER CALL US BACK THROUGHOUT THE 6 MONTHS OF TRYING TO RESOLVE THE ISSUE. AFTER 6 MONTHS OF STRESS WHILST TRYING TO GET THE ISSUES RESOLVED, NO COMPENSATION WAS GIVEN AND NOT EVEN AN APOLOGY! After using the furniture for 1 day, I found 9 defects on the furniture. The leather on the 2 seats used had significantly sagged and the looked like it had been used for years. There were a number of issues with the stitching (such as not being aligned with stitching on seats next to it) and stitching pulling apart on one seat. As is my statutory consumer rights (to request a refund within 30 days for defective goods), I emailed Furniture Village the day after delivery requesting them to take the furniture away. Instead, they insisted I had to let them sent their “independent” furniture expert to review the furniture to see if repairs could be made. They did not send the expert for 40 days. Despite discussing all the defects I had emailed about, the furniture technician did not cover all the defects in his report. Another visit from a technician was arranged, by which time more issues had appeared as one settee started to make rattling metal sound when the recliner was used and the other squeaked whenever it was sat on. Another technician came and wrote a new report. Furniture Village then began to dispute that some of the defects were manufacturing defects, they suggested the extremely sagging leather was wear and tear, despite it appearing after 1 day! Their expert’s report stated that extra sponge was needed in the seats to address the sagging but that it was not a manufacturer’s defect! Despite my statutory consumer rights being that I could request the defective furniture to be taken away and a refund issued if requested in 30 days, a Furniture Village agent told us that by law we have to let them try and repair the defects! An expert was sent to fix the rattling metal (lose parts on the settee which was hardly used) and the squeaking seat (with WD40 and the squeaking returned later on!). After hours of phone calls Furniture Village agreed to send a technician to carry out the remaining repairs and put extra foam in all the seats. The technician who was sent advised he was unable to repair the stitching pulling apart. He put extra foam in the seats but 1 day later the leather was no better (as obviously it was too stretched as had taken 5 months for Furniture Village to agree to this repair). After many more phone calls I had to point out to Furniture Village that their own “independent” experts had reported the stitching pulling apart as a manufacturer’s defect and that the same experts had said it was unrepairable. Finally they agreed that (as is my statutory consumer right) they had to take the furniture away and arrange a full refund. Furniture Village then advised me I had 28 days to have new furniture arranged as they would be taking their furniture away in 28 days (despite them taking 12 weeks to deliver the furniture and taking 6 months to resolve the case). However, if I swapped for different furniture from Furniture Village they would allow me as long as I needed! After further phone calls they agreed to allow me longer and the furniture was finally taken away after 6 months of stress and anxiety caused by Furniture Village due to their disgusting customer service. NEVER BUY FROM FURNITURE VILLAGE, IF THERE ARE ISSUES WITH ANY FURNITURE PURCHASED, THEY WILL NOT COMMUNICATE UNLESS FORCED TO AND WILL DO EVERYTHING TO WRIGGLE OUT OF REPAIRING DEFECTS WHILST KEEPING YOUR MONEY! NO COMPENSATION WAS GIVEN FOR THE STRESS AND ANXIETY CAUSED BY FURNITURE VILLAGE AND NO APOLOGY FOR THE POOR CUSTOMER SERVICE OR THE FACT THAT THEY PROVIDED EXPENSIVE FURNITURE WITH MANY DEFECTS.

placed an order for a white table and received a black table with different finish top after few weeks, called the company several times and offered to reduce £200 on black table and keep it but I refused the offer as I wanted white for my dining room. they delivered white table after almost 12 more weeks and had not curtesy to offer any sort of good will gesture. tried speaking to the Manager but some other chap dealt with my query and started to speak rude and then claimed that he cant hear me as the line is very bad. finally hung up on me and didn't call me back.

My complaint goes back to circa February 2021 I ordered an £800 bed ( excluding mattress) the deliver period was some 4months . Bed arrived in May it took x2 delivery men 2 hrs to bring in & fit , to which I gave them a hefty tip . A few months later July I called to advise there was an issue with the bed . It this ok until October for the inspector from Hime Serve to appear & advise that our bed had been put together incorrectly! In fact the underside ( it’s an king size ottoman bed ) was completely fitted upside down & was now not fit for purpose. We were told it would take two Men four hours to dismantle & refit. Fast forward - Jan 22 having not heard anything I was told on calling that the case has been CLOSED! ! Albeit I hadn’t chased FV as we had a serious house flood & moved from our property , so had another more pressing agenda. So we started again - the whole process of arguing the toss with FV . Finally I had an agreement to have a replacement delivered . Guess what , didn’t happen - a no show . IAt one point I was told to call the ware house regarding a delivery & I was told that it was the legs that were being replaced !!! I was directed to the manufacturer who advised they didn’t supply legs they came from elsewhere ! It was farcical left hand didn’t know what right hand was doing . Again I had to argue with FV who advised it had been delivered. Again I had to go through many departments when phoning . Finally I emailed the CEO which was responded to by a Resolutions team . By this time I was also pushing for compensation. What a laugh £50 !!! Or they could refund me but would need to collect the bed first . During all of this time luckily we weren’t even using the bed as we’re still out of or property. This continued all thorough 2022 . When once more I was promised a replacement . The day the replacement was due from FV the van arrived with replacement- however one of the fitters decided that they could just replace the sides & bottom of bed . Due I imagine to the length of time it would take for them to dismantle & refit . . I was far from pleased with this in fact I was fuming that after all this time & the issues along the way a fitter was making the decision . Albeit, job done . More emails to CEO It was more like sending emails to a fence post . No apologies same as when the new bed didn’t arrive previously. The compensation that I had argued to be raised from £50 to £100 was not going to be increased any further in fact that was very clearly & rudely pointed out ! Finally this month I received the paltry compensation & have no good words to say about FV .
