We bought the table and 4 chairs from you in September 2019, there was a good offer but of course the whole set did not come cheap. From the beginning I should have left a comment about the finishes of the chairs, where you can see paint dripping on them (the chairs were almost more expensive than the table) but I did not do it because buying a house and facing a move was challenging. Now after 5 months of daily use of the supplies (two chairs which we never use) we are seeing the quality of the material which is very poor. The table was covered by a tablecloth and a table cover and during the Christmas period the wine fell on the table as it can accidentally happen and the stain did not come away anymore, despite I cleaned it with a product especially for wood now there is a white halo effect on it. I decided to buy the slightly more expensive table and chairs in order to have a guarantee in terms of durability, at this point if I bought something second-hand it was better. Normally the furniture should last at least 3 or 4 years before presenting these defects ... I'm very sorry, but the quality you offer is very poor.

Order numbers 272757521 and 272757594 bought at Norwich Store We bought two wardrobes in July , they finally arrived 31st October. They put one together but couldn't do the other as it didn't come with all the parts ! NO email from your company to advise us when they'd be coming back to rectify this. The staff at the store aren't able to advise us to when the contract will be completed. We had arranged to have a new carpet laid the following week, the result 75% carpet laid The doors on the wardrobes don't shut right up to the frames and a drawer needs adjustment as it screeches/grinds when opened and closed. We would like someone in authority to advise, instead of passing the buck. We need this contract completed!

Tried to order a £75 rug online, to find that “shipping” was £35. Most places ship this kind of item for free, although l would have been happy to pay a reasonable amount say £10-15. I emailed them to query the shipping charge but received no reply.

I am very disappointed with Furniture Village. I ordered a mirror back in November and it said guaranteed Xmas delivery. I hadn't heard anything so was ringing Customer Services all the time to see why. I then received an email on 22nd Dec to say there had been a delay and the mirror would be delivered from 25th Jan 2019. I rang Customer Services that day and was told they were expecting the mirror at the depot and would be in touch on Monday 28th January to arrange delivery. I didn't hear anything yet again so I rang on the 29th January and was told there was a problem and it was not in the depot. After all the trouble I was having I decided to cancel my order. I was so annoyed and frustrated. Whatever you do, don't purchase anything from Furniture Village!!! No wonder these Companies are going out of business if that's the way they treat their customers. They take your money and have no intention of delivering when they say they will. AVOID!!!

Poor experience. Purchased a fitted wardrobe which was delivered and partly assembled before Christmas. Two doors were damaged and the fitters said incorrect lights had been supplied. They erected what they could and then left, so I have a wardrobe frame with no doors! I have phoned you twice for an update and nothing. No call back as promised. Expected better from furniture village.

Buying wasn’t a problem. Staff helpful. Customer care after was awful. First chair was unsatisfactory a replacement was ordered and delivered, more problems with that. Parker Knoll is supposed to be a good manufacturer. the chair should have been Inspected before it left them and again before it was delivered, opportunity was missed both times. Won’t buy from Furniture Village again. A friend of mine bought the same sort of chair. Furniture village delivered the wrong chair (it was supposed to be riser/recliner, the chair doesn’t recline. They are still wait for Fur I tire Village to sort it out. Shocking. I’ll. ever go there again.☹️😞 .

Purchased mattress. The on-line price was far cheaper then in-store. When I contacted the store they said it was an error ! Very disappointed :-(

The after sales service is almost non existent My sofa was under guarantee and broke before the warranty ran out and when I called furniture village I was put on hold for ages then they said they would send an engineer out. They failed to call me back with a date and over the next 3 weeks or so I had to call them several times as they would not call me and this cost me over £20.00 in access charges and premium call charges. I would never buy from them again.

We purchased a Dune collection RHF corner sofa from furniture village for Guaranteed pre-Christmas delivery in November. Everything seemed to be going to plan until the delivery gentlemen turned up in my flat yesterday with two of the same pieces of sofa, explaining there warehouse must of made a mistake. They went on to explain that the warehouse in Dartford would do their utmost to resolve and deliver the correct part later that day considering it was 08:30 and they had the whole of the day to resolve/correct the issue. We did not hear anything from the warehouse and had to call the number advertised on the Furniture Village website in order to get through to the warehouse. At which point the experience just gets worse. I had to call the warehouse a further 160 times in order to get a phone call back at about 17:00 last night from a gentlemen called Tony. Who explain they could not find our missing half of the sofa or scatter cushions. However again assured he would do everything he could to chase the Milton Keynes depot first thing in the morning to find the missing parts and call myself back before 09:00/10:00am. As it was a bad day for them yesterday, as it was the Christmas party for the company. We are still currently sat with two wrong pieces of sofa in our living room and no sign of furniture village willing to help us resolve the issue Absolutely disgusted with the level of customer service and lack of customer service experienced whilst dealing with Furniture Village and I will most certainly not be recommending them to ANYONE.

Bought £1000 glass top table. Poor quality product which started to scratch within 3 days. Now covered with protective materials. May as well have bought a cardboard box.

Having ordered 2 sofas in different designs but the same fabric, in October 2016, they arrived on 11th December but were both the same design. The original order time was 9 weeks, which we accepted as we thought we would have our sofas in time for Christmas. However it then took 16 weeks for us to get our correct sofa. During this time I had to make numerous phone calls to ask for progress with the order. The customer service was terrible - it was as if it was my fault and that I should be grateful that they had reordered the sofa for me! When the sofa finally did arrive on 31st March, no-one could confirm that the sofa had been sprayed with the Gold Elite protection we had paid for, so I had to book an appointment for someone to come out and do this (and take a day off for the visit). Furniture Village offered us £150 (initially it was £100) as a gesture of goodwill. This is on an order that was over £2500. Not impressed and won't be buying from them again.

We purchased our suite from Ipswich, at that time we were very happy with both the suite and the high level customer experience. After 17 weeks (the agreed delivery time) and after not hearing anything from Furniture Village, we telephoned store to obtain a delivery date - they did't know but said they would get back to us - they didn't. We phoned again, and again (six times in all.) - it came across that they really couldn't be bothered as they had already secured the sale! Eventually, we were given a delivery date and further advised that we would receive a phone call on the day of delivery with an approximate time of delivery - we didn't. So we phoned the store again, and again (four times.) After some persistence on our part we were advised that we were the second delivery, but still but no time given, In the meantime I emailed the CEO and customer services but never revived a response from either. The suite final arrived at 3:00pm. I emailed to CEO again to express my dissatisfaction, and yes you have guessed it - no response. It's too soon to leave a review for suite - the review is only for the 'couldn't be bothered' customer service surrounding the delivery. Footnote: I emailed both the CEO and Customer Services with a draft of this review before posting - no response was received.

My wife and I ordered a new leather sofa from the Brighton store of Furniture Village. It arrived on 9/2/23 and we unwrapped it and put it in the lounge. At the time we had our grand-daughter staying with us so we didn't really use the lounge. On the 10/2/23 we were awakened from our sleep coughing, the fumes from the sofa were affecting our breathing. On the 11/2/23 we went back to the store and told the branch manager that we wished to bring the sofa back because it was giving off toxic fumes and making us ill. The sofa is on finance and the manager said that it was our property now and there was nothing he could do. As the discussions unfolded and I still needed a way of getting the sofa out of my house, he said that if I brought the sofa back he would treat it as being fly tipped and have it disposed of. The store manager advised us to put the sofa in the yellow box storage unit and that the cost would only be about £20. As our priority was to get the sofa out of the house we borrowed a van and took the sofa to yellow box storage. With the insurance and storage cost I think it was just over £100. Whilst we waited for the so called independent technician to check the sofa the costs were mounting. When the technician did come he said that he wasn’t insured to remove the sofa from the storage unit, so he lifted some of the packaging, took some photos, sniffed it and said it was fine. With the storage costs rising to over £500 we decided to put the sofa in an unused garage at my son’s house. When moving the sofa where my skin came into contact with the sofa it came up in blisters and this was now about 3 months after it was delivered. We decided to take legal action to get our money back. Whilst purchasing the sofa we were led to believe it was made in Italy and it now turns out it was made in China. At the present time we have five leather sofas, two leather chairs and a leather footstool till this day we have not experienced any problems from all of this Italian furniture. The citizens advice/ trading standards asked me to ask which company was protecting our customer rights. The finance company said that both companies were. They also said that they could not answer some of our questions because they were not there at point of sale. To this end we decided to take legal action against Furniture Village. The court date for the hearing was April 2024. The Brighton manager appeared, with my wife and I. Furniture Village didn’t even bother submitting a defence to the court which was obviously picked up by the district judge. They obviously knew that it would be dismissed, because the finance company should have been the defendants. Yesterday we wrote to the finance company to ask how they wish to proceed. I will post again when we hear from them. The reason for doing this review is that you should be able to expect a company with over 50 stores in the UK to sort out such basic problems. The finance company is called Novuna which is a trading name for Mitsubishi H C Capital UK plc. The complaints about Furniture Village are so extreme they have their own web site and even a facebook page. We wish we had read them before trusting Furniture Village. We would urge all prospective customers to check the reviews before using Furniture Village apart from the stress it is also costing us a considerable amount of money to pursue this, out of principal I want Furniture Village to properly test the fumes given off by the next leather sofa that comes from China, it is not possible for any normal customer to have this work done. I spent hours on the internet contacting the labs UKAS recommended but no-one was able or willing to do the work. Total costs so far:- Sofa £1974. Storage costs £518. Legal costs so far £461. Total £2953.00

Absolutely Shocking. Completely avoid. Please read all these 1 star reviews and do not give these sharks your hard earned money. Had two sofas delivered last week with marks on and wrong cushions. No one wants to know - emails ignored and phone calls get you nowhere. Stuck now trying to find a resolution or a refund. Fuming.

Please don't buy any beds from furniture Village the base callapsed and the mattress has callapsed right round all sides, I am sobbing writing this my husband and I are both disabled, we both sleep in separate rooms, the bed was bought for my husband, the technician has sent a report saying my husband and I are both fat of large build, I don't even sleep in the bed, my husband and I have medical conditions my husband has a huge hernia in his stomach that makes him look large then you get a so called technician saying he is large, one technician came out and glued the base together, my husband asked what about the mattress he said I am just here to glue the base together, my son turns the mattress weekly, one technician said the mattress has not been turned in his report, and another technician said it had, we have both reports both technicians sent buy furniture Village the bed is a sleepeezee costing 1449.00, so please avoid buying from this company, looking at other people complaining it looks like it's not just beds. Customer care niki has no time to even listen. He sounds like a very young employ that does not understand people are not always fat it is because of medical issues. Hope this helps someone not to buy a bed from here, we have written proof saying the bed has a 10 year guarantee, and if you can call it a bed it is only 2 years old and not fit for purpose. They are sending another technician out this is just a game to them.

We ordered 2 sofa sets in April 2021 x they arrived July 2021 x fabric set had wrong legs x took numerous phone calls and as last resort a huge rant in the high Wycombe store x fixed eventually x next leg broke on sofa x later that year x eventually repaired x broke again in October 2022 x fixed this tine (that will never move now ) said repairer! December 2023 at Christmas ! Leg broke again ! Repair co couldn’t come out til feb 2024 x when chap said NO can’t repair that x there was a huge hole where the leg should have been fixed to ! You need a complete arm with mechanism x ok how long ? Within a month x NO it’s now 11 April 2024 x we have not had use of sofa this time for 4 months xpreviously repair waits were a month each time at least x so no sofa for 6 months out of the 30 months we’ve had it x last phone call yesterday , helpful chap at cc for once x we have been offered 1,090 partial refund ! An absolute insult and am still waiting for news of replacement arm delivery ! Which I would imagine is not gonna be same colour as a used ( in the loosest possible terms) sofa x the staff are of course very helpful at store before you buy but if something goes wrong don’t expect resolution any time soon x I’ve now got to the end of my tether with this cowboy operation and my husband is taking over x Peter Harrison ! You will be hearing from some very disgruntled customers x I’m sure we’re not alone x they don’t stock our suite anymore ! Wonder why ? Never ever will we go to this place again x quite honestly the worst experience we’ve had with any purchase !

Don’t buy a bed from furniture village Don’t buy a bed from furniture village. They sold my parents a divan bed and mattress combined. Within a few months the mattress was faulty. They replaced the mattress but once again the mattress has broken and is faulty. They have said this is a product fault but will only offer my parents £250 towards a new mattress. They won’t replace the matresss which has a design fault. This is wrong. They have sold a faulty product and will not replace it. Wrong
