“Do not use! Ordered two hydrangeas from them. Plants that arrived were tiny, more like two mint plants than hydrangeas and nothing like the photos or size advertised. Bought through B&Q’s website and seems impossible to return.”

“Terrible Customer service as a verified seller for B&Q. Sent me the wrong item and will not provide a pre paid postage label or collection for item, they expect me to send it back at my own cost. Been going back and forth for two weeks now. B&Q have agreed it should be Gardeners Dream who should arrange collection. Be aware that if you receive the wrong product. It is a nightmare to try a return if you don’t want it to cost you for their mistake.”

“Plants arrived in a terrible state, should have never been sent out from warehouse like this. Contacted the company and all they offer is 40% discount refund. Not even half of my money back. They admit that the plants shouldn’t have left with the yellow dying leaves, disgusting place do not buy from them.”

“Ordered bushes and 2 were in poor condition. After many photos and messages they sent me 1 replacement not 2. They refused to send the other 1. Customer service was very poor had to pull the other ones I planted back out to return for a refund. They are a gardeners nightmare not a dream”

“Pathetic , No phone line available. Emails ignored , I ordered 24 May #439707, advised order despatched 27 May . No acknowledgement received of mails sent to date.(3 June). Definitely won’t deal with a company that doesn’t have a telephone complaints/ order queery dept.”

“Ordered marshmallow strawberry plants, 2 have died ,other plants must be over 2years old ,plants have woody stems,put in good compost,very puny plants struggling to grow,wont be ordering any thing else,”

“Avoid!! Wish I'd have read the real reviews..this company is a total waste of money. I paid good money for a dead twig..certainly NOT as advertised. Yet again avoid..tried repeatedly to upload more photos and my bank card details ..only to be told it wouldn't post.. I will investigate..SCAM.”

“Very misleading description of size of plant and an exceptionally poor specimen (tried to upload photo but keeps saying to retry later). When asked to return for a refund I was told I would have to pay my own postage. Poor sevice, poor quality - would never use again.”

“I wish I had read all the negative reviews posted online, I would definitely not have placed an order. I paid just over £21.00 for two plants that were difficult to find locally. When they arrived I was so disappointed to find that including the pot they were barely 25cm in total height. They consisted of three dead twigs in each pot, there were no buds showing or signs of life. In the past two weeks no shoots have appeared. This is my first time ordering plants online, they were bought as a Mothers Day gift but are not fit to give as a present..”

“More like Gardeners Nightmare! My £84 Christmas tree arrived squeezed in a tiny narrow box - two branches broken, and many branches especially at the bottom had been trimmed off. Assumed it was mercilessly trimmed to fit the transportation box, as the shape is totally odd - not conical but more cylinder. The tip of the tree is missing so nowhere to place a star - the side stalk is the one which takes the tree to the required 4ft height, but you cannot place a star on it as it is growing diagonally. Total disaster - I had to buy a replacement from local garden centre costing an extra 60 pounds, but at least that looks like a Christmas tree. Emailing the company customer service didn't do anything - 'management said' that 'the tree is fine' and 'won't be issuing the refund' or collecting the order. Beware, spend your money elsewhere!”

“Don't buy from these people. They do not honour the 14 day statutory return law, even if you are unhappy. Fact is, the law says you can just change your mind but they think they can override the law.”

“Definitely do not offer value for money. My local garden centre were less expensive for plants 4 times the size bigger. Not happy. I had to return the plants back to them and pay the postage! I would not use again or recommend.”

“I purchased 4 azaleas after 3 months of not a lot of growth , not one bud on any of them also purchased a Lena broom which died after 2 days … I contacted them asking for some kind of response to be told I waited too long to contact them .. I reckon they are full of manure and I certainly won’t be purchasing again from this fly by night company … stay away be warned!!!, at least gardening express give you a guarantee with your plants … no I don’t work for them by the way.”

“Awful variety of colours on 10 Huechera plants recently supplied along with an equally awful response to my complaint. Didn’t resemble the website description in any way. I offered a simple solution by suggesting they send me a further 3 plants but was told to send purchase back to them for a refund. Packing them back up and postage was at my expense. First and last order. Don’t believe what you see on their website”

“I ordered one type of plant they sent me another, looks nothing like the picture on their website. It’s a totally different variant. There is no telephone number instead an online form. I requested a return for the correct plant, they said they would come back to me. A few days passes and no contact whatsoever, so I contact them again, they reply this time and say that I must pay for the return first. Now I’ve had to report it to my credit card and have to go through the process of a complaint to recover my money. I have purchased over 30 indoor plants from various places, never ever had an issue. Terrible experience!! I don’t recommend using this company!! Awful service that’s going to cost me more in time then the plants worth. On principle though, you can’t allow these huge companies to cheat you. Just another greedy company that obviously cares little for good service.”
