“Hamiton Gas Products, produced my order to the door earlier than promised. The heater replaced a well used heater which had stopped working. The new heater works pefectly and was much needed during the current cold and damp weather conditions. Thanks Hamilton. Best regards Anthony Ketley.”

“After a bit of a struggle, a gas engineer managed to fit the reg. to the gas bottle, stove lighted up ok, to turn fire off you have to turn it off at the regulator. Not overly happy at that.”

Thank you for your feedback, Christian. Gas heaters can no longer be turned off by the control unit on the heater. If it were turned off in this way, and the gas valve developed a fault, then gas would seep into the room. All new heaters are designed to be turned down to their minimum setting and turned off by closing the gas supply at the regulator. It is not a fault; it is a safety feature. We hope this helps. “I bought a Sievert torch set which was significantly cheaper than from a popular jewellery craft supplies website. Hamilton's kit included a regulator (vs stop-off valve and twice as much hose. Hamilton's burner (8842 8mm needlepoint burner (0.25kw?) and corresponding 3501 neck tube were the same specification as the jewellery supplier's "professional" vs "beginner's kit". To take advantage of the free delivery of order over a certain value I decided to add to my order 2 additional burners & corresponding neck tube 3511. (I haven't used my purchase at time of writing to confirm comparative performance of burners but selected them on the following rationale): burner 3939 17mm "pin point" due to its output at 0.9kw vs the 8mm's 0.25kw suggesting extra "oomph". I have scrap copper hot water cylinders and pipe which I want to experiment with for jewellery and larger sculputal pieces. A reviewer had said they found it "powerful but precise" and someone had mentioned using it on a model boiler (I presumed for a train maybe). The same neck tube works with burner 3941 - 22mm with significantly higher output at 3.1kw which Hamilton's descripation said could handle up to 40mm dia pipes. I called Hamilton's a couple of times incl to double check that my planned additional burners would both work with the one additional neck tube. Their website information was correct and helpful, telephone staff helpful, and when the £5 discount for newcomers failed to apply at checkout they told me to email and the refund was quickly paid to my bank account. Excellent. Here's hoping the kit works as I've anticipated when I finally get a chance to try it on Xmas jewellery presents!! (ironic when I paid £2 for 2 day delivery!)”

“I love the purchase, i have the smaller double unit, they're great. so what would make it better for me. I use it with the LPG Quicksafe system, it would be great if i could puchase items like this ready to go straight into service. If the option to have had it supplied with a the quicksafew fitting on a swaged hose.”

“Hi the fire that I purchased is ok apart from cabinet door does not stay shut which looking at the reviews is a common issue with the fire which it seems you have failed to rectify yourselves so I have had to modify it with a much stronger magnet which a customer should not have to do apart from that the fire works well Terry”

“Bought gas fire. Was. A lot cheaper here. So thought I try it was delivered quick. Got it out wld not lite. I did follow instructions try it again. All I could smell is gas. So contacted. Hamilton gas. They told me to see if this bolt or nut was lose. When do u buy things and have to fix. ? So I arrange to send it bck. So went bck. Now av just spoke to them asking if been sorted out they just sent msg bck takes up to 3 wks. So if u take some thing back to shop wld u wait 3 wks. No u wld not and then they saying charging me 15 quid for picking it up this firm is a joke. Having them ask me to repair it. When you buy some thing you exspect to work and when u send it bck not to wait 3 wks for it to b checked they had my money prob be about 4/5 wks.”

Thank you for your feedback Michael, it is very important to us. We are sorry to hear that you had issues with your fire. We can see that you reported this to us on Monday, 24th November, and our Customer Service Team responded to you the same day, going through some troubleshooting with you. A collection was arranged to have the heater brought back to us for testing. Our advisor pointed out that if the heater was brought back and no fault was found, then the collection charge of £15 would be deducted from your refund, along with a 15% handling Charge, as the heater would not be classed as new and could not go back into stock. These fees are outlined in our Terms and Conditions on our website. The collection was arranged for Thursday, 27th November, and as we are based in Northern Ireland, we did not receive it back until Tuesday, 2nd December. Our in-house testing can take up to 3 weeks; however, it can be much quicker. Our Customer Service Team will be in touch with you with the testing results.
