Appalling. Even when trying to buy more miles they treat you as a scammer. Business partner's grandson's insurance cost £3300. Over enthusiastic he did the 6,000 miles in 3 months. They quoted £1800 for a further 15,000. He said he only wanted 7,000 so they reduced it to £1600 !! and insisted on talking to his grandfather who was paying despite having card details on system. The old boy had Dementia. Got very confused. then despite the fact that the grandson was speaking to them insisted on calling his mobile which was 15 miles away to verify that he was who he said he was. Grandson seeing how distressed his granddad was cancelled the policy. Refund? £1800 so £1500 for 3 months. He is lucky in that he has a granddad who pays for his insurance. What of some poor kid who is struggling to pay? Switched to Woop. £2450 for 12 months and 10,000 miles. Far better company and much nicer people to deal with. Autosaint treat everyone as a fraudster with constant threats of policy cancellation. Avoid them at all cost they are simply preying on young drivers with their supposed 'help'.

Administration charge of £65 to add more miles, yet your trying to be young driver friendly, exactly how to you estimate this charge considering what's involved, and a premium tax when this was paid at the beginning of the policy why are you charging this again to add more miles, it's not a new policy, premium credit who finance the insurance whom by the way are totally independent of yourselves haven't asked for this, you rip young drivers off and give them the wrong information, explain this.. A driver has used their 5,000 miles up in 8 months and you suggest they get an additional 1,000 miles at a cost of nearly £200,work out the math, is this really going to be enough for the next 4 months??, just so you can charge them another £65 admin charge and make up the cost of buying additional miles has over 5 days your quote for 1,000 miles has changed considerably. No one should go with autosaint, just pay that extra on a reputable insurance company, because this company will rip you off, and the staff are rude uneducated and to be honest embarrassing to come down to their level of intelligence.

Absolutely awful company!!! Received an email telling me that my insurance had been cancelled as they said I was speeding on 3 occasions. I had no second warning; when I spoke to the man he told me they sent the email and would not listen to me when I said I did not receive it!! Conned out of 1400. As a young driver, I cannot afford to find another insurer and when I asked whether I could do anything about it they said no. Do your research before taking a policy out with this company. Never left a bad review on anything. Don’t even deserve 1 star.

Any responsible (customer focused) business would alter their customers that they were reaching the end of their mileage allowance. Any responsible (customer focused) business would provide the NEW final mileage allowance when processing the allowance increase and not keep it from the customer. Any responsible (customer focused) business would NOT use a premium telephone number and (experience from 5 calls) have them kept on hold for at least 15 minutes, twice longer. Your choice, but we will never use them again or recommend them to anyone.

Worst Insurance Company ever! Money grabbers 100%! They take advantage of young drivers who don’t understand how insurance works fully to get the most money out of them and make them feel as if they have no other choice. Changing my car from a group 7 insurance car to group 1 costed me £350 absolutely ridiculous when the new car is cheaper to insure. Lost half of what I paid for in insurance (paid for the year) in less that 3 months? Does not make sense. Strict rules such as lowering the score if you drive at night. They don’t take into account the age of the car when judging the breaking and acceleration of the car so your score decreases. Just horrible horrible AND to top it off it’s going to take me 30 days to get my money back!

They are terrible, bad value, the black box is impractical and they don't send you any warnings before you come to the end of your milage, the extra miles are extortionate and they are theiving a**holes

I've had the same complaint for 3 weeks now, nothing being sorted staff are unhelpful and useless and the people that fit their black boxes to the cars are even worse, rude and nasty. I'm disgusted. Will be cancelling my insurance and going somewhere else, I recommended everyone to stay well clear from them both!!!

Like many of the other posts on here, dashboard scores fine for a week and then dropped dramatically even when car not used for a couple of days. When contacted, unable to explain why the dip in score!! Also when on compare sites it only asks month and year car bought, when you go onto auto saints website this prefixes it as the first of the month...no problem you would think, but because I didn’t notice this and change it to the exact date I bought it. I was charged an extra £250! Seriously people do not be taken in by this company! They are rip off merchants! The 5 star reviews are bull!

There are hidden costs which they don’t make clear at all. I’m going travelling tomorrow and have worked hard for months to save up, and didn’t realise they would charge me £230 in total to cancel. I was told when I mentioned cancelling when renewing my insurance that the fee was £60, but that doesn’t count anything else, only the cancellation fee itself so, yes, essentially they lied. £230 is a weeks worth of income for me which I worked long hours for so this was very hard to pay! In fact it costed more than what 3 weeks of nice accommodation in Bali cost. Also they never informed me that if you don’t cancel your insurance at least 5 days before your next monthly payment, they will still charge you for the month after your cancellation date! Really bad in my opinion.

I took out a monthly insurance agreement as a young driver with a box fitted in my car. Upon cancelling I was made to pay a large sum of money which can apparently fluctuate day to day depending on the rate. For a young driver this should be made very clear when opening the policy as It was not made clear when opening the agreement. Just very miss leading , more like entering. Credit agreement rather than a normal insurance policy☹️

After checking my daughters dashboard all week and trying to work out why the dashboard was showing such a high score (in 2 and half days) and then twigged that something wasn't right......Good old Google sent me to this review page and then i realised after reading all the reviews that its a big old con. Some of the reviews are laughable how autosaint are bluntly ripping people off. Thanks to all the reviewers who wrote a review on here to inform people like me. I cant work out how GoCompare can let a company as bad as autosaint advertise on there website - shameful Thanks

Ok so I have been with autosaints for about 1.5 years. The company is decent if your just doing low city mileage across the years HOWEVER if by any chance you manage to exceed the mileage limit arranged, they will charge unrealistic prices for additional mileage. My only choice is to cancel the policy in which they charge a £75 admin charge, admin charge for what? doing your work?. Honestly, stay way whilst you can, pay a bit more and enjoy better customer service.

DO NOT INSURE WITH THEM. Just paid over £400 to buy extra miles as we had miscalculated my daughter's mileage for the year. We misjudged it as at the time she'd just learnt to drive, was still at school and hoping to go to University thereby not driving much. Circumstances changed and she started a full time job. Has now gone over original estimated mileage. Just paid near-on £500 for extra miles. I tried speaking to Customer Service - no such thing. The lady said my daughter would have been given 14 days to buy extra miles - the policy isn't cancelled immediately. (oh hooray!) I asked what if she had no money and nowhere to get it from? The answer - she would basically have had to give up driving until she could afford the miles. Eh? Isn't that the most ridiculous thing you've ever heard. So my daughter would have lost her job too? I'm furious and so wish i could turn back the hands of time. DO NOT BE FOOLED BY THE "CHEAP" INSURANCE. You'll pay extra down the line.

I bought a newer car and when I rang up to change my insurance policy over I was told they do not provide insurance cover for the car I had purchased. I then had to pay £249 just to cancel my policy with them. Outrageous.

Tried to charge me an extra £900 on top of my insurance. I cancelled the policy and they took all of my £416 deposit that I should of had back with me only being with them a week. I have ended up only getting £60 back due to me having to pay £88 for 1 week insurance etc. A joke. Would not recommend at all. Wouldn’t even rate 1 star. Disgusting!!!
