I have recently posted a review and want to confirm I have now received my ncd after 20 days of waiting. I called them about 4 times and emailed 17 times. They are super expensive involving stuff like mileage and would recommend if ur parent just letting ur child get a insurance company off black box. To up my mileage by 2000 is costed nearly 600 this caused my insurance instead of being 110 a month it was 200 a month. It’s crazy how expensive it can add up to be, I’m now with a modified car specialist costing be hugely less with more freedom and no stress

I am a 49 year old man. My daughter is 18. we are on the policy. You have to drive the car like driving Miss Daisy. Guess what? I struggled, it's embarrassing and dare I say dangerous sometimes, but once an 18 year old gets comfortable, they drive like the rest of us. Will defo move to normal terms on renewal. Is what it is, sounds great, reality, no.

Phoned up in regards to my policy being cancelled for poor breaking. My call was immediately answered by a girl called Rachel to which I explained why I was still receiving a low breaking score despite driving more carefully. She actively went out of her way and made calls to the people who monitor my black box and found that there may have been an issue with where I was parking for work. She renewed the cancellation for another week with the expectation that my score will improve now that I will be parking elsewhere. Although she could not guarantee my policy won't be cancelled she will be making a good effort to help me and will call me back in a week to discuss the matter further. She has taken away a lot of my stress from today and yesterday and I am very thankful. My experience with autosaint so far has not been too pleasant and I think there should be more in the way of making contact with customers regarding warnings then just automated texts. People like Rachael are a very redeeming quality about Autosaint though and I give her very high praise for doing her absolute best to assist me in this stressful time.

Mixed review. Bad points:- Whilst is was easy to take out a policy for my grandson, it has been a nightmare trying to cancel. After trying for about 3 weeks. Plus when he did more miles than originally estimated the add on charge was extortionate Good points. The young man I spoke to today was great and cancelled the policy for me. Don't remember his name sorry.

Debbie was very helpful and done everything I asked for, the staff are all very polite. The three stars are only for the one bad thing the prices, a cancellation fee is through the roof, I don’t see how they can charge hundreds for just cancelling.

Customer service has always been brilliant, I did have problems with the box instillation to start with but that was quickly resolved. The only reason I left was because they couldn’t insure my new car.

It was a hassle to cancel my insurance, the customer service was not very good, plenty of room for improvement.

I received no premiums or discounts even with my black box! Have to wait a whole year for that and it’s not even guaranteed. Although the box is very lenient, I wish I had received discounts quarterly (like other insurance companies) as I’m still paying a heck tonne and being restricted...

Its good if you live in the city where traffic hardely moves and bad if you live in the country where your pulling out onto 60mph roads as you get rated down on accceleration where you dont want to be rear ended! If you dont work on your car in the year as testing breaks after replacing brought my ratings right down and never budged up afterwards. So perfect if you drive like a oap but not for general driving

I agree hold time is unacceptable and my call was dropped on multiple occasions. The tracker says my driving score is low due to harsh breaking. I have an old car with older breaks (about to be replaced) - I think they should take this into consideration. Other fault is that my car has broken on two separate occasions and I have had to pay over £200 for a new tracker to be installed. Not sure why they can't use the old tracker. I have offered to swap the old tracker myself (as my dad is an autoelectrician and has fitted them on multiple occasions) but was refused. Cheap insurance if your car is unlikely to break. I've been with them for two years and am about to renew for another as prices are always competitive. Staff are helpful and friendly - shame the call waiting time is so long.

It’s good in some aspects but bad in other yeah it helps you keep to the speed limits but it also makes other driver sit on your arse, no harsh braking or whatever but what if the idiot in front brakes harsh but they don’t get points taken away just doesn’t seem fair.

Took out my first year insurance at 1600 and had one claim. I then had my window smashed and was told this would not affect my policy so I went through them to get my window fixed. I rang up for a renewal and was told this was a second claim on my policy so my insurance for my second year had gone up to 1900 despite being told it would not affect it! Every time I ring they can take between 20-40 minutes to answer. I transferred the last month of my policy as I got a new car and I had to pay 240 to have a new box fitted yet was told the box in my old car would be put to 'sleep' which obviously shows that they are not bothered about the box! When I made my 'second claim' I was told that it was reported by a solicitors when I had reported the claim myself and no one had any details of the first claim I made when I rang up to find out about it. I recently found out you have to pay to gain access to the details of your telematics box at the end of your policy yet this doesn't even seem to be taken into consideration as my score was 99%! They also quoted a higher renewal rate referring me to another company when online I found a quote of 1400 from autosaint themselves! If you e-mail them you may wait 2 weeks for a reply if they ever respond.
