“Very good if your a new driver , good you can track your driving and improve on the not so good areas of driving . However down side of things it marks you down if you go out later at night this shouldn't knock your score down as you are the one paying for the insurance and shouldn't have a time curfew which knocks your driving points down”

“I'm one month in to my insurance policy with the box fitted, and it seems to be going okay. Well, in fact. Understandably, the box dislikes my occasional 130mile journeys home from uni, but I've never had a score lower than +8.26. I'm confused by how they work out the main score - I repeat, I've never had a score lower than +8.26, and yet my overall score is +8.10. When I called the company to query, I was brushed off. Would recommend for cautious drivers. The box is temperamental, and the stipulations for usage scores are long. Advertised as no curphew, but your score will go down if you travel between 11PM-5AM.”

“Carrot insurance hasn't made me happy. As I've taken out my first ever insurance out with them, as I passed my test in February. I have a black box installed on my car to lower my insurance down. They say I get a cash reward every 3 months if I drive sensibly cash of 115. But then I received 40.”

“Carrot is good because they allow you to monitor your driving through an app, breaking down your driving into 3 different sections, although my issue with the app is that it doesn't break it down enough or tell you what it was you did badly, unless you call carrot directly. Another nifty feature of the app is that if you park somewhere and forget where you park, the app will allow you to find your car from your phone! The major issue I have with carrot is that because I work a night job it will mark your score down for driving between 11pm and 5am, so that may want to be something to consider! Engineer arrived early and fitted the box within 30 minutes. Gives you the option to earn cash back for good driving and discounts off your insurance. Call Centre often can be frustrating as theres a fair wait before getting onto the phone to someone but however are very useful when you do speak to someone. Decent company with fair quotes.”

“Like it so far , but in a bit of a dispute over a speed violation that the black box has picked up and Carrot had her on a street she never went down. This could have costly consequences”

“Carrot was the cheapest insurance company I came across when looking for my first lot of car insurance considering my age. I was really happy with the fact you receive money through being a good driver. I love the free app so that I can keep track of my driving score. When ever I have had to contact Carrot customer service, the service has been excellent. I would definitely recommend Carrot Insurance Company to anyone of my friends or family.”
