“It's good because they show how my driving is but never show me what my weekness is which obviously everyone would benefit from”

“Great insurance, cheap and no problem getting on the road. Only thing I would say is that the box 9 times out of 10 gives a low score for usage for seemingly no reason which brings down your overall score, but apart from that great.”

“Carrot overall is a great insurance company. I'm 24 years old and was a bit wearing about getting a blackbox fitted into my car as you hear about all the restrictions that come with them. However, i was shocked to find that insuring with carrot was not only the cheapest option, but was most beneficial. I was able to get £50 cashback in my first quarter which was a great reward. The reason i gave them 4/5 stars is because i don't understand or agree with how the usage score is calculated. But overall i would recommend using carrot insurance.”

“Carrot insurance is generally good, however i'm fed up of getting hit with a poor score on usage no matter what time I drive. Other than this it is great even if i did receive my rewards card 2 months late!!”

“Well I've had no problems with Carrot Insurance, I recieved my first rewards quarter on time and recieved my carrot card soon after, the only bad thing about it is I would say the Usage part of the driving score is too harsh, my driving is 10/10, smoothness is 10/10 then my usage is like 4.24/10 as I've been driving during rushhour and it affects my score quite a lot, doesn't seem very fair but other than that its great”

“Carrott is a great insurance company to go with ,expecially if your a new driver.It was quick and easy to apply for and i didnt have any problems atall.They dont increase the amount of your insurance they are simply based on rewards.They reward you fir driving good which i think is a really good ideal to help your driving stay good.I would highly recommend this insurance company.”

“Looking out for good value car insurance as a new driver under can be tricky, more so as a guy under 24 years of age. After much phoning and comparison websites, Carrot Insurance kept cropping up with the best deal, and seemed much more oriented to new drivers too! Advisers were more than friendly, and setting up the policy and installation of the black box was arranged and carried out without fuss. Keeping track of my driving score wasn't quite as fuss free, as the mobile app doesn't give any details about the scores but simple policy info, contact details and how much money I have earn't through driving well. So use of a computer was necessary for me. Contacting support about this issue didn't result in anything useful so I gave up on the app and stuck to checking via computer. As such keeping your scores high wasn't too difficult at all, but usage might catch a few out as I sometimes have to drive to different towns or make many short journeys in a day. Currently on track to receive my card at the end of this first reward quarter and put the rewards to use! It's a great incentive to get young drivers driving safely and properly, so highly recommended from me.”

“Great value insurance for a new driver like myself. The new driver dashboard and app is very helpful, even letting you know as soon as you've stepped out of your car how you've done. Only niggle is the lack of customer service advisors for the amount of customers as I have found myself on hold for over half an hour more than once now.”
