If you are reading this, DO NOT take out a policy with this joke of a company. After 5 months of driving responsibly following speed limits etc, carrot decided to cancel my insurance due to the reason I was clocked doing 31mph in a 20mph zone for about 10 seconds. Now my future insurance premiums for the next 5 years are sky high thanks to carrot. Do not take out a policy with this company you will regret it one day.

Worst company I've ever been with! Terrible customer services. Always on hold. Unprofessional to say the least. Would never recommend them to anyone.

Cancelled my policy for apparent speeding!! On a road with speed bumps! DO NOT go with this company. look elsewhere as they will sting you eventually.

The app cannot tell the difference between me driving my car and me being on a train. Needless to say I am constantly being threatened with cancellation of my policy due to breaking the national speed limit across fields. Also do not even try ringing them during the week, you're on hold for ages and their systems are constantly crashing. Not to mention being charged over £100 for moving down the road when the difference in prices for new quotes at the addresses concerned was only £30 for the year! DO NOT USE THIS COMPANY

They cancelled on me for driving 30mph on a 20MPH SMH they wouldn't take an answer for it!

I was expected to calculate how many miles I am going to do in my first year of driving. Unrealistic to ask first time drivers.

Awful company. Cancelled my policy twice once for no explained reason. Then again for THEM misadvising me. Takes over half an hour to ever get through to speak to someone. The telematics box is ridiculously recorded. If you do short distances it gives you a bad reading but if you do long distances you get a bad reading to. Oh and if you ever are unfortunte enough to have an accident then lets just say unless you have next to no chance of getting a pay out or getting it resolved without doing it yourself!

They are absolutely POOR. They may give you cheap quotes, but their service is terrible. Make sure to look past this company. A big mess they are.

DO NOT GO WITH THIS COMPANY! Everything seems fine to start with until you decide to leave them. The staff never answer and keep hanging up on you, when you raise this with another member of staff they treat you like the scum of the earth and make out that you are a liar. Even after producing more than enough evidence to prove your in the right, they start sending final warning letters and ignoring any form of contact you are able to make with them. They have left me stressed and upset. And know one has the decency to have a conversation over the phone with me. Just feel like i have been misstreated by the staff and their company! STAY AWAY FROM CARROT INSURANCE!

Absolute con! My daughter had really good driving scores this year and the app told her she was due a 27% discount on her insurance premium but it actually went up! Got her insurance for next year £350 chheaper with Hastings. Also waiting times on the phone are ridiculous been on hold for up to an hour only to be cut off.

Stay well clear of this company!! One min the box works the next it doesn't.. Clocking up mileage when the cars sat outside. Within the first 3 months we had to have 2 boxes changed due to being faulty. Also stated that my son done 31 on a 20 road 6 weeks before (they had a back log) and gave him a warning for it but couldn't send us evidence of it and the app only shows you your last 20 journeys so we had to take their word for it.. My son got issued another warning which we queried about to then be told it was another mistake as it was impossible to be in 2 places at once.. For the whole year my son was on edge because of this company and the box due to the faults ect. They also say you don't get penalized if you drive after 11pm!! that's an absolute lie.. My son had top marks most of the time and very rarely scored lower than a 10.. If on the odd occasion he drove after 11 the score drops a redicilious amount and effects your rewards ect.... All in all if your wanting a telematics box go to another company!!

Black box is faulty, often penalises you for something you didn't do, (happened to both me and a friend) terrible customer service and there is no leniency from them at all, wouldn't choose again.

This company is well priced and their policy's is what made me choose them, for example the no curfews as with my work and lifestyle I am often driving a lot and night and very early in the morning, however when you down load their dashboard app showing you speed, smoothness, and usage you will find that usage is heavily based on what time you use your car. In my case I get 10/10 for speed 10/10 for smoothness but then -9.36/10 you get a average of 6.03 exactly, this was on a trip from Maidstone at 10.53pm till 11.40pm. usage does not get much better as one trip got an average of 8.24 when driven at 3.50pm-4.35pm with both speed and smoothness at full. Because of this I fill that they base their dashboard on poorly sourced information as surely they are implying they would like your journeys shorter causing speed to go up. In short they want you to drive like a 90 year old on journeys to the local post office (journeys for 15 mins) or not drive at all

Someone from Carrot phoned me to arrange a date to fit my black box to my car. No one turned up. When I phoned to find out why I was told that no one had phoned me to book this appointment. Emailed them over proof and had no reply. Phoned to cancel and they refused, even in the 14 day cancellation period. Just please avoid this company.

Thought having a black box was a good idea, but seems to mark me down on anything, for example, I work a variety of shifts at work and some of them mean night shifts, so if I finish at 3 in the morning, I'll do a 10 minute journey home, my speed will be fine and my smoothness will also be a 10 but then I'll get a minus score even though I'm driving responsibility responsibily

What went wrong ?well I have been on the phone half an hour and still no answer I honesty feel like smashing me phone of the wall it's an absolutely joke been passed around to around ten different people ,clearly they haven't a fu**ing clue what to do ,one word useless
