Firstly when i reported an incident, they escalated it to a claim without my consent, secondly the staff were not helpful because I kept getting lied to, when trying to close a claim, nobody there knows what they are doing, everyone kept telling me different things, for example one person said the claim would be closed within 1 hour because third party had contacted them, and i called later to confirm and then they asked for proof,I am really frustrated and annoyed because i had confirmed at the time with a member of staff that i wanted to report an incident and not make a claim , they were fine with that and then without my knowledge or permission they opened a claim where i had no knowledge or understanding of this action, i only found out because my insurance finished and i was requesting No Claims Bonus , otherwise i would have never known, i advise nobody to take out an insurance with this company, they are very deceitful and when trying to rectify a mistake, it takes forever, those who may read this, don't make the same mistake I made, just pay a little extra and go with a decent company

They took my original payment then claimed my bank details were incorrect over the festive period. I was on holiday but found out that their comapany was closed during the seven days notice they had given me. They have since cancelled my payment. I don't believe any good review is from an actual costumer and think this is a fraudulent company. Do not take insurance out as I doubt they would ever pay up and would cancel your policy randomly with immediate effect and no way of getting through to customer services. You can't even reply back to the emails they send you.

Administration department is an absolute shambles. They tell you that everything is OK and then you start getting the 'oops' messages saying that your policy will be cancelled as you haven't supplied documents that haven't even been asked for. Also, the phone line is abysmal - you can never get anyone to answer the phone so god help you if you need to claim. Can't wait for the policy to end so that I can move to another company.

Terrible car insurance company.. They denied my documents multiple times even after sending me emails that said they were accepted. Now not using my car over CHRISTMAS! they have decided to cancel my policy because they claim i have not used my app for 21 days however according to my app i have used it 16 days ago. STAY AWAY FROM THIS COMPANY they are a complete bunch of idiots who seem to want to steal peoples money.

Absolutely devastated with the service received. I have impeccable driving scores, and my policy has been cancelled for doing 31mph in a 20 zone. I understand this is over the limit, but for a valued customer who has never missed a payment, I believe this is ludicrous. All insurance quotes now are £8000 plus. AVOID AT ALL COSTS.

Do not go with this company. Firstly the black box. You can have great scores for ages but as soon as you get close to your quarter when you get money back all the scores.drop dramatic ly so you get less money back then you though you would. It also marks you down into the minuses if you drive after 11pm. They say they have no curries but that seems like one to me. You will also get marked down for usage badly for no reason. Driving to work on 2 different days at the same time and the same length of time foe the journey,they gave me 2 completely different scores. Reason 2 customer service. You will be on hold for at least 30 mins each time you call. And sometimes they will just cut you off. Reason 3, accidents. I'd you are unlucky enough to have an accident. Even if it's not your fault... they will NOT fight for you. No matter what information you send them to show your inocence they don't care. They will just tell you it is likely to just come back as your fault. They are so unhelpful when it comes to this as well and they don't even try to use your black box to help you. Honestly theyebrows are useless. Honestly just get a dash cam. Complete shit

The insurance was great intially. It was fair. First problem: I got a warning for speeding which i absolutely agree with. I improved my driving from this and tried not go over the limit at all. I got my car insurance cancelled for "speeding". I didnt get notifyed for over one month since the incident occurred and i was apparently doing 30 on a 20 mph zone when it is actually 30mph. 2nd problem: it takes 40 minutes to get through to the customer service team and the women wanted. no dealings with my issue. 3rd problem-when i got my car it was working perfectly and then suddenly it stopped starting. I needed to jumpstart it every few days which was a complete pain. This started happening after the ibox was installed. I took it to seceral different garGes who all suggested different issues. I changed the battery and got several other things repaired and all no luck. Fianlly one guy suggested it might be the iboxand after 5 months of having a car like this i got it fixed. It cost me alot to find this issue. 4th issue- i still havent recieved my deposit back.. still waiting. Thanks carrot:/

They cancelled my policy because of 'outstanding documents' even though I had called up a week prior to make a claim, and there was no mention that anything on my account was outstanding. At this point I was already insured with them for 4 months. They then went on to tell me that my deposit was un-refundable and that they tried to contact me and i should learn to 'read my emails' when there is not one email about outstanding documents. AVOID LIKE THE PLAGUE. They are a company which thrives off exploiting young drivers, Please just pay that little bit more and go with a company which is genuine and not so money orientated.

I am a 17 year old boy who recently took an insurance policy with carrot I made a mistke by speeding and my black box cought me for this I phoned up it took me 40 minutes to get trough to them when I got through I cancelled my policy they said they were due me a rebate and they said the would send me an email of how much this was a week later I got an email and a letter telling me I was owe them money I have since tried phone them and email them they have blocked my email address and they cut me off 3 times after been on hold for more than 40 minutes I am now phoning for a 4th time they have still not answered after 42 minutes exactly and I do not expect to get an answer from them please learn by my mistake and I would. It recommend carrot to anyone please can anyone that had been in the same situation reply please because I Am going to report them to fianancialc conduct authority

Worse company ever. Apparently my wheels were "modified" so they cannot insure me. So now after paying £3000 they want to cancel my policy. They are a right headache. NEVER go with carrot. They always find the dumbest excuses for apparent modifications.

Absolutely disgusting. Ridiculously overpriced, 30+ minute phone ques (I generally give up after 20), mileage top up for 5000 miles costs almost double the policy. I'm calling to cancel the policy and they don't answer the phone. I've been with some pretty awful insurance companies but this is by far the worst. Do not, under any circumstances, go anywhere near this company. Absolute Pile of trash.

Well where do I start.... First of all I tired to get the black box fitted which was then refused as the vehicle was 'modified'. The actual modification was £20 plastic wheel trims which the engineer could have removed there and then but could not think of that as that was too difficult. This was after making 2 x 35+ min phone calls to get through to arrange an engineer. Since then I have sent many photos to Carrot showing that we have removed the wheels and replaced them with the ones that came with the vehicle to hear nothing. Again 3 phone calls to Carrrot the shortest one being 48 minutes. You just cannot get through to the company via the phone. Once the call gets answered the call takers are pleasant and helpful. Now I have just received an email to say that they want to cancel the policy even though I am waiting for the go ahead for the replaced wheel trims. Absolutely horrendous time with this company!!!

Emailed in October as technical problem carrot end still not resolved, end of first quarter was 8/10 still don't know if had rebate as not been contacted currently were disappointed with service, would be lovely if they contact me after reading this !!!

The service is very apauling as you cannot get in touch with anyone that works there!. They have still not rewarded me for my first quarter of good driving and it had now been one full week.it took them 3 months to repair my ibox.I am very disappointed with them.
