Absolute shocking company, for starters you are waiting on the phone for 1/2 hours before someone will decide to answer your call. My son wanted to change his car to a Mercedes A class 04 plate just so he could get to work and back home as it is a new job and shifts, with only two months left on his first year current insurance and already paid £1800+ to these jokers they wanted another £150 for a new black box which are in my view is a complete waste of time and money then they wanted a further £450 because carrot class this car as high risk. It is no wonder that some of these kids with new licences are raging companies like CARROT ripping the off with black box's and over the top insurance quotes. So we shopped around and found one almost a grand cheaper and with out a black box fitted and this company was on confused.com. All i can say is kids beware of these clowns and shop around and don't get roped into high insurance just to get on the road driving.

Less than 1 star worthy. Appalling customer service. On hold for over 30 minutes with no answer! When I did get an answer I was passed from department to department and they didn't have a clue about how to go about cancelling my policy. Simple stuff. I still haven't heard from them and they owe me a lot of money. Do not ever use.

Worst insurance company I've ever used, spend around 40 minutes at a time on hold when trying to talk to them, customer service is awful, blackbox doesn't work properly I had to have mine changed numerous times because of faults of their own, really not worth anyone's time.

Ridiculous service..spent 30 min to fill a form for car qoutation and received a message on the base of information provided..we can not quote you..please call in office ..

Terrible insurance company, can never get through to them on the phone with an average waiting time of 20 minutes. The black box is also terrible, taking them 1 month to actually come and fit it. Overall just a bad experience, can definitely find cheaper insurance such as tesco bank

I am disappointed with carrots as they robed me for my money am not talking houndreds am taking thousands Telling me a own them money because I left them. I advice anyone who thinking of getting with this company please think twice as at the end of the day your bank account will me empty.

Cancelled my insurance when it wasn't my fault and now no where else will insure me and I have to pay insane amounts.

Biggest con insurance ever. They make you pay for anything they can get away with. You will pay to get the black box removed and if you pay monthly you pay for leaving early or cancelling your insurance.

So expensive!! I'm a first time driver payed a lot of money in my first year had rewards from my box. Went to renew and they have added an extra 400 pounds to my renewal for it 500 less than last year with someone else such a rip off

Far too expensive paying £2700 for a 1.4 polo direct line can do it for £1300 and carrot only told me about the black box after I payed

THINK VERY CAREFULLY BEFORE USING THIS COMPANY. I took out insurance for my son with Carrot. They use technology similar to black box. After about 6 weeks they advised my son they were cancelling his insurance due to his bad driving. I phoned them-30 minutes to get through. They said that someone would phone me back. Nobody bothered. I emailed them. They didn't bother to respond. They wrote to my son confirming they were cancelling his insurance but also sent him a bar of chocolate for his good driving!. He had to take out insurance with another company and disclose he had had a policy cancelled which inflated the premium, A week after Carrot had supposedly cancelled his policy they made contact and said it had all been a mistake and that he was still insured with Carrot. Absolutely disgraceful service from this bunch of cowboys. Their response when we tell them we do not wish to stay with them - the offer of £50 for "inconvenience". Do yourself a favour pay a little bit more and use a reputable insurance company

Worse insurance ever do not take out insurance with them. Customer Service is Rubbish. All they do is put you on hold. I had two months left with them and they recently sent me a letter saying I was speeding and there going to cancel my insurance because of this. But the time they said I was speeding was when I was at work. I told them I have proof I was at work and no one else drives my car. But they never listened at all spoke to three different people PAUL, SARAH, SEMESTER . I Asked to speak to a manager no one let me speak to a manager. Apperantly I had a two hour wait to talk to a manager. I said I can send in proof a formal letter from my company to state the hours I was working SARAH said it's not good enough anyone can write a letter. I said cctv then SARAH said not good enough.I will be taking this further. WORSE INSURANCE COMPANY they just clearly didn't want to give me my No claims bouns. I only had two more months left. The Question i would of liked answered, is if I have proof I was working then why couldn't it be looked into or sent in ???

No matter how well you may drive they always seem to find something to put negative points on. I've also noticed it's so easy to be put into the negative numbers of your scoring app when you make just one bad journey amongst the 100 other goods.
