DO NOT GO WITH THIS COMPANY! Everything seems fine to start with until you decide to leave them. The staff never answer and keep hanging up on you, when you raise this with another member of staff they treat you like the scum of the earth and make out that you are a liar. Even after producing more than enough evidence to prove your in the right, they start sending final warning letters and ignoring any form of contact you are able to make with them. They have left me stressed and upset. And know one has the decency to have a conversation over the phone with me. Just feel like i have been misstreated by the staff and their company! STAY AWAY FROM CARROT INSURANCE!

Cheapest Price On Comparison at the time. I am on third day of the better driver version where I connect my phone to a small orange box stuck to bottom of windscreen. It's ugly for sure but better than having one fitted. I just have to turn on Bluetooth on my iPhone and it records my journey. App is clear and it's also clear carrot want you to drive in the day when your meant to be in work or just after rush hour but before 11pm and after 5am, but then again, it's not my fault if my phone dies while driving, it wouldnt be safe to try and plug it in somehow would it? Although you are subject to a £500 additional excess if you are not connected and have an accident. I think it's good and easy to score green each day but I can see myself having to buy more miles, apparently the higher your score at the time you call the better price per mile you will pay. I remember the wait times when taking out the quote so I plan on not having a reason to call them anytime soon for miles

Carrot insurance are a very helpful company they always provide support when it is needed and when the came out to fit my black box they went in depth about all of the requirements.

All the information that is provided in the app is very easy to read due to the layout of it, which makes it very easy to understand. The information is written in a way that it is very simple to understand for teenagers which I like.

Absolute con! My daughter had really good driving scores this year and the app told her she was due a 27% discount on her insurance premium but it actually went up! Got her insurance for next year £350 chheaper with Hastings. Also waiting times on the phone are ridiculous been on hold for up to an hour only to be cut off.

Absolutely outstanding service from Carrot insurance. The I-box was installed at a time that suited me best with no hassle and a text alert to let me know they were on their way! I can't criticise anything about this company. They have everything you could think of and more! The rewards are amazing!! Who would've thought that being a good driver would mean getting money back every quarter. Fantastic idea!

It is so difficult to get in touch with this company on the telephone, waited at least 20 minutes the first time and have to give up subsequent times as it is an expensive number to call each time. If you try and email then they will respond within 2 days! Also the website does not work when you need a re advice of password, never sends you the link, therefore you cannot log in to your driver dashboard so you have no idea of your driving score.

Good cheap insurance with working black box, haven't had any trouble talking or contacting carrot insurance! Only thing i struggle with is in my area i don't have much public transport. i have to drive short distances to get around and that makes my points go down. but i'm definitely enjoying the rewards! I recommend this insurance company!.

Black box keeps making me low scored for usage, I have to be able to use my car 24/7 and I have two young children, one of which goes to school, every time I pick him up it's marks me a low score. Although my over all score is 8.5, it is slowly going down!

Stay well clear of this company!! One min the box works the next it doesn't.. Clocking up mileage when the cars sat outside. Within the first 3 months we had to have 2 boxes changed due to being faulty. Also stated that my son done 31 on a 20 road 6 weeks before (they had a back log) and gave him a warning for it but couldn't send us evidence of it and the app only shows you your last 20 journeys so we had to take their word for it.. My son got issued another warning which we queried about to then be told it was another mistake as it was impossible to be in 2 places at once.. For the whole year my son was on edge because of this company and the box due to the faults ect. They also say you don't get penalized if you drive after 11pm!! that's an absolute lie.. My son had top marks most of the time and very rarely scored lower than a 10.. If on the odd occasion he drove after 11 the score drops a redicilious amount and effects your rewards ect.... All in all if your wanting a telematics box go to another company!!

Black box is faulty, often penalises you for something you didn't do, (happened to both me and a friend) terrible customer service and there is no leniency from them at all, wouldn't choose again.

Create communication and a simple easy process in which they sorted my insurance policy, they also were very helpful in helping me get the maximium yearly mileage.
