Wont be going with carrot again and I will NOT 100% recommend them!! When i first got my insurance, they messed uo my details, i told them on 3/4 occassions with no success on the 5 the man changed it for me with an apology . When chsnging my number plates to private that was an extra charge! (Didnt get told that when enquired) phoned a few times on problems with details and box being unaccurate but didnt get a phonecall back liked promised! Poor service!!!

I would not recomend using carrot insurance, Yes they are the cheapest insurance when your quotes are coming up for the first time but the hidden charges are topping up miles this means you actually pay more than other insurance quotes, This year alone i have had to top up 3 times and each time cost me just over £200 a go so that £600 on top of insurance monthly, its an actually joke so i would recomend looking at the difference from carrots quote to the next quote and work it out how much difference there is between the insurance quotes just because you will need to pay more at some stage with Carrot.

Over priced, paid over £2500 and now I am going to have to pay extra to upgrade miles! As if I haven't paid enough

Carrot keeps sending me speed alerts when I phoned they said their maps where not always up to date and corrected it the first time I called. The road I drive home on is 60 mph they have it as 40mph. So I keep getting speed alerts.

Excellent feedback from the box fitted to my car but often I get warnings I have broken the speed limit when I knew I had not. It took a long phone call to Carrott to recognise the road they have as a 40 mph is a 60mph road, they quickly put it right the first time I called, but now it keeps coming up (its a road home for me). I do not have the time or money to keep calling them to correct them ( I actually drive a different way home if I have time to stop my warnings). So my driving score goes down each month as a result as their speed limits are not always right. I would like them to up date their road records please! otherwise good service.

I was unaware that the black box measures the softness, duration and speed. When on the phone purchasing the insurance he just told me it measured me on my speed. Since having my insurance I haven't once went over the speed limits having a 10+ score but the softness is giving me negative scores due to the types of roads I'm driving on (e.g if the roads have pot holes in/bumpy not soft) which is not my fault. As a result it's making my overall score fall loads. If I knew this was the case I would of searched for other insurance companies. Also the guy told me on the phone there's no time limits on when you can drive. However I found out that it actually makes my driving score worse if I drive between 11pm-5am.
