“It’s an affordable insurance but the app really is not great. The new chat service however is a massive improvement on the email customer service that was in place previously.”

“I found setting up my better journey app easy but there have been complications since setting it up. It stopped recording my journeys and it took several attempts to get it working again which caused me frustration. I like talking to people on the phone so the online chat isn’t great for me. However the online chat is quick and easy to use and I get an adviser pretty quick. I wish they had a black box that went into your car instead of the Bluetooth and app, would be so much better and efficient. Other than that it’s not bad value for money.”

“Don’t insure with carrot . Pay the extra to avoid the massive headache and constant worry of policy cancellation for an error as simple as forgetting to turn on the blue tooth on your phone. The carrot wingman is a bright orange eye sore to your car which will constantly fall off your windscreen.If you encounter a problem when setting you carrot app ,which you inevitably will as it is completely over complicated and time consuming you will not be able to talk to anyone about it over the phone as they have narrowed down there call handlers to purely deal with claims and nothing else . If you call they will refuse to help and send you to a tedious automated system which if you grit your teeth you may eventually be able to get through to a person , where you will communicate via message.If you do decide to ensure with carrot , I hope your phone has an great battery life because the numerous components of your phone you have to constantly keep open to avoid them cancelling your policy is massive and will kill your battery very quickly. Passiveness and not reading into this policy was my error . Seeing the cheap price I picked carrot instinctively, to think I could of went to Hastings for 140 more is painful.”

“Very easy app, easy to understand and if you’re in green every week you get little gift vouchers for things like costa and Halfords! Every issue I’ve had with the app you speak to someone on line who talks you through things step by step. Staff are very friendly and helpful!”

“The app on my phone doesn’t work so none of my drives get recorded. This means I’m missing out on all the treats and rewards that comes with the insurance. A simple mistake was made during set up of insurance and out the blue 4 months later £140 if I wanted my insurance to carry on.”

“The customer service for this insurance is exceptional, instead of using price comparison websites I came straight to Carrot for my renewal because I knew the package they were providing was of the best value. For the considerable future I will always invest my time into Carrot and I hope they will do the same for me.”
