“Very efficient. New drivers should not be scored on the smoothness of their drive. I am becoming familiar with a new car and I am still not very smooth with the clutch pedal.”

“response time to phone calls isn't amazing (usually 15-30 mins depending on time of day) but customer service is great and staff are really helpful”

“Very quick getting quotes sorted. Only problem that I have is that to get through to customer services you'll be on hold for 45mins each time.”

“Good price, and the app is very useful for keeping track of my driving. The only issue I'm having is that my black box is not recording all my journeys, and the ones it does it isn't recording the right times. I've called customer services so hopefully it'll be resolved.”

“I've seen loads of reviews saying how bad Carrot is, I don't understand why though? Customer service is good, I called twice about different things and both people I spoke to sounded friendly. I'll admit that the black box can be quite inaccurate at times and count journeys you didn't do, but to be honest I don't really care about that, I still get money back which is better than nothing and I also get insured to drive so it really doesn't matter. Thanks Carrot”

“In my second year with Carrot and I find them good, the scoring on the app confuses me because I make the same journey to and from work everyday near enough the same time. Near on the same speeds but I get marked down ? Overall they're quite good though. Cheapest way to renew and gone down a hell of a lot. Only thing I would say is they charge a lot for changing things, I changed my car 6 months through and they charged £100 for a new telematics box. I then changed my number plates to private ones and they charged me £35 admin fee. It got spread out over the payments I had left so it went up a lot, so glad it's gone down because it was a lot of money for car insurance.”

“Really happy with the insurance, the black box fitter was really friendly and had a good old natter with him when he turned up. The app is really easy to use and I've never had an issue with functionality. The team at carrot are extremely helpful and friendly, not had any reason to ring (bar box figment and buying the insurance) so I can't comment on any other service. The only down side is that you get penalised for driving late at night, for more than an hour and making more than 7 trips in a 24 hour time span. Also, I've had some pretty interesting scores come back from the box, ones I defiantly don't agree with and know I haven't attributed to! (Yes I am the only driver). Still yet to try out the card, I'm sure my girlfriend will throughly enjoy our next shopping trip, and so will my bank!”

“The only thing that put me a off is that my rating goes down depending on what time I drive at , this was one thing I was assured I wouldn't be marked down on which is disappointing as I was told and it states that there is no curfew”

“Carrot instantly made an impact. I searched for cheap car insurance for my age as it is my first year driving and they came up straight away and blew me away with their offers. The quote they gave me was the cheapest I could find by a mile off. Great customer service and they even sorted my black box out for me.”

“Very good on price for quotes but like the fact that you can have an app which keeps you up to date and informed on your driving. Hopefully will earn cash back rewards and a cheaper quote next year. It also must give parents peace of mind that their child is being rewarded and encouraged to drive safely”

“Not been with this company for long but for the time i have it has been acceptable the only bug bear i have is i have had to contact them several times regarding faults on my online dashboard not coinciding i found facebook was the best method to contact them and this has been resolved fairly quickly”

“Its generally good. Carrot allow you to accelerate pretty hard, go just over the speed limit, drive for long distances-as long as you stop every hour and the rewards are good. its being very accurate at the moment. At the moment though”

“Been insured now for around a month or so and everything has been good so far, only thing keeping it from 5 star is that the usage on the black box is a bit strict. Other than that been great so far!”
