“Recognises good driving by rewarding drivers. Easy to book black box fitting. Easy App access. However only criticism take a long time to get through to them on the phone”

“I angrily left a review about Carrot a few days ago. I am so fed up with big business not be flexible enough to deal with people as individuals, and Carrot were behaving in that vein. Yet, today, I have been amazed by my misunderstanding of the situation. Today I spoke to an extremely well versed, understanding and considerate human being in the guise of a Customer Service Adviser for Carrot Insurance. Neil took some considerable time listening to my rants about big business and how Carrot were being so. It turns out, however, I WAS WRONG! It would appear that Carrot Insurance ethos is very true to their blurb. Their policy provision actually does try to offer a more sensible approach to young drivers. This was rather a shock - to find that big business can indeed follow a belief - actually helping while making a profit. Something I thought we as a society had lost. They Carrot and Neil not only surprised me but showed that business and policy can be flexible and more importantly, in this case, helped the young driver here to continue drive. Robert, Kilmarnock”

“They're a good price and the fact the have no curfew is good as I work until midnight. However, the black box is very senstitive considering that braking is not always your fault if people pull out upfront of you during busy periods.”

“When I first passed my test Carrot provided the best level of cover for the cheapest price. It was very easy to set up and the man who installed my black box was very efficient. The app is really useful to keep an eye on your score. Generally speed is correct, smoothness is sometimes an annoying measure as you might have to do an emergency break etc however this is only occasionally. Usage is difficult to get a good score to begin with as it is not easy to tell when the best time to make a journey is. After driving to school a few different times I found the right time to get the best score. I did not continue my insurance with Carrot as I was quoted a better price with less telematics. Overall I had no issues with Carrot, I would recommend them to drivers who have just passed their test. Laura Hodkinson was very helpful over the phone.”

“Carrot insurance was a good deal until i found a better deal else where. I have phoned them a few time and everyone i have spoken with have been very helpful and understood English!! I had to cancel due to finding a better deal so Laura W from the cancellation team helped me out and was very helpful and explained everything brilliantly. So today im rating Carrot insurance 4/5. Prices are meh but the customer service is 5/5. Thanks again”

“They are helpful and gave me good warning in sending some documents via email (I was on holiday at this point so I was worried but I had plenty of time), everything is clear when insuring and once done so.”
