“good company to be with the cash rewards are great however I still havnt recived my carrot card its now February ive been with carrot since last October.”

“Easy to contact and quick to resolve any issues you may have,also reasonably priced for young drivers in comparison to other companies, reward scheme is great for safe driving already i have had money back from 3 months safe driving overall good insurance company with the expierenve i have had so far.”

“Carrot insurance is very good and incredible for young drivers however the only downfall is the usage, because some young people have to work late hours so they need to be able to drive after 11pm, and sometimes more than 7 times withing 24 hours, other than that carrot is a spectacular insurance company”

“Excellent price for a new young drivers first insurance. Cash reward incentive is fantastic considering already the lowest priced insurance around. Check on my driving styles continuously through the app, for my piece of mind as well as the insurers. One minor complaint. On day of my ibox being fitted, installer was told to stop the install as my exhaust was a none standard after market setup. This was not the case, the exhaust is a standard optional extra on the SXi, and after contacting Carrot with the facts my ibox was fitted on the next available appointment. So all good, and very happy overall with the product and service received.”

“Cheapest insurance and really great to see how my driving is going on the Online Dashboard. The guy who fit my black box Sean/Shaun was really great and friendly. Looking forward to receiving my first rewards!”

“Cheapest insurance I could find, and I quite like it. Nice Driving Style Dashboard, easy to understand, but in my case there are some error in the black box sometimes, where shows that my journey took 12 hours sometimes. Customer service reply in max 2-3 days and sort this error without any problems. But what I don't really like is that when during my driving in town some kid or dog jumps on the road and I have to do emergency brake then in the scores it shows me low score for Smoothness. It's not my fault and because of it I get less chance to get more reward. Carrot should install program to recognise situations like this. Overall opinions about this company is positive.”

“Got policy for my son shortly after passing - cheaper than other quotes. Installation of box good, useful for him (and me) to see when he is driving too fast. Low usage score is a bit annoying when marked down for late or short journeys... Otherwise good. Would recommend. (Haven't yet worked out how to get rewards though!)”

“Having a black box does make you drive more safely which is a positive. Be warned however if you excessively speed you will receive warnings and potentially your policy may be cancelled. In my first week I pushed it slightly and received threatening emails which was unpleasant but fair enough as I was speeding, Wouldn't advise getting a black box if you can not deal with driving the speed limit as it will frustrate you more than paying more for your policy initially. Despite having warnings initially I managed to improve my score over the rest of the quarter and received £30 back which was a nice surprise. You can also drive at approx 10% over + a few mph the speed limit and the box doesn't seem to pick it up so it's not too bad, you adjust to having the black box and it's not an issue for me now. Looking back though I'd rather spend a couple hundred more and not get a black box than save £30 a quid every three months from having one as there are times where it's very tedious having a black box. All in all have only been with carrott three months and it's my first ever experience with a car insurance comapny so can't give a very insightful review but I'm overall pleased no problems.”

“Everything seems ok at the minute. My first reward was due on the 27th December but I am still waiting. But I did call them and they explained that the first quarterly reward takes longer.”

“Good company, box fitted it quickly and the cheapest quote I got. However, usage limits make no sense to me when looking at my scores. I also had a period of time where 12 hour journeys were being recorded that I didn't even make.”

“I actually got my quote through a third party who quoted me cheaper than carrot themselves who told me that there would be absolutely no way that would happen?! I'm not complaining about a cheaper price however it's just slightly confusing. Overall the service and good I love the idea of the app to track the driving.”

“Saved me huge amounts on my premium vs the cheapest non-telematics policy. Had a few issues with incorrect speed limits in Carrot's database leading to unjustifiable low scores on my dashboard, but I contacted Carrot and these were resolved fairly promptly. Would recommend to a friend.”
