Customer service is good - the live chat is a really great feature. The app is easy to use & the rewards are great. The only downside is that the box isn’t very accurate with the scores. All of my scores are also 1 hour out - this has happened in the past and been resolved but affects my score.

I have really struggled getting used to the scoring of the app. For longer journeys I have been scoring at a -9.0 despite sticking to the speed limit and a 7.7 for my smoothness despite being on a straight road for the majority of the journey. Yet for shorter journeys I have scored 10/10. I am just concerned that it isn't monitoring my journeys correctly and it will affect my policy. Overall, it isn't as good as I would have liked.

Price and customer service are both exceptional but trying to contact carrot for a renewal price even with live chat is painfully slow, waiting at least 1/2 hour to get a response and if you miss the response you go back to the end of the queue.

Price is good for a relatively new driver with past claims. Customer services are excellent with dealing with any complaints or issues and also refunds. I Made a complaint last month which was responded to quickly and I was issued a refund and compensation which was in my bank account within the hour. Highly recommend

The live chat feature is great and the insurance itself was of great value for money. As a new driver it was really amazing to find a year's worth of insurance at such a cheap price.

Live chat is really useful when using, very quick and easy to navigate. After I used it the team were very fast with getting back to me through email with the validation of the chat :)

It’s really difficult to discuss any issues with the black box app. The fact the app is so problematic it would be helpful to be able to discuss the issues over the phone rather than trying to message in the live chat every morning when I get in my car and find out the app is malfunctioning again. I’ve been told a few times to just drive anyway even though the policy says if the app isn’t working I’m not covered or have to pay £5000 for the cover

I'm sorry that you have been having issues with the app. If you contact us on LiveChat we will be able to help you with this and we are happy to call you if you request a call, Usually if we are aware of an issue before a claim, the additional £500 excess in the event of an unrecorded journey is waived.

Great insurance company only problem I’ve had is some of my journeys haven’t recorded that could’ve put me in green instead of amber however I’m not sure if that could be a problem with my network

The insurance I pay is at a good price and is lower than anywhere else I have found. Any problems or questions I have are always resolved quickly on the live chat through the website. Tracking how many carrot points I earn and what I am on track to get for the week is really good fun. I find the online dashboard easy to use.

+ good price insurance + app layout is good + customer service is quick and helpful - lots of app problems (doesn’t always record journeys, records journeys as the crow flies, says you’ve been driving when you haven’t) - had to pay £100 more because one of my additional driver couldn’t download the app - lack of communication about app problems being resolved - takes a long time to register you’re actually driving The problems and the reason for my poor review are solely down to how poor the app is and how many problems it is causing. The customer service and actual insurance value is fab

Always there to help and get things sorted out quickly for you, I’ve never had to wait long, always answer any questions I ask, friendly staff and really approachable couldn’t recommend these as an insurance company

Some customer service representatives are helpful some seem like they cannot be bothered, also find it’s silly how it’s only an online chat now when sometimes you do need to speak to someone to explain your problem fully.
