I have a black box insurance with Flux Direct, since having this I have had neumerous problems, the first one being that my car was taken to the garage, the mechanics took it for a test drive which was over the speed limit, having rang Flux the next day explaining the situation, they fully acknowledged that it was the mechanics, however this has still gone down as one of my "3 strikes". Before this I had a "caution" through whilst getting my car down to the garage, which is very interesting to hear as my car would barely run nevermind speed. The box itself is very sensitive, it is impossible to always be at the correct speed limit due to gradients in the road adjusting the speed of your car. When I asked to know all of my up to date speed records, I was sent through a link showing all my driving destinations apart from the actual speed. Apart from all the above reasons I would like to state that the box is a bad idea for anybody debating to get one as you will be constantly bombarded by other road users shouting abuse at you and getting dangerously close to the back of your car, not to mention them trying to overtake. You are more likely to be involved in an accident with the black box then you are without one.

i insured my CLASSIC escort 6 days ago , adrian flux kept requesting more and more documents from me saying there was not enough evidence of my address , telling me my council tax bill was not good enough because it was older than 3 months even though i sent recent bills, this is after they took my money , no mention of this earlier , so i got angry and cancelled the insurance , they charged me 104 quid , to cancel bearing in mind the premium was only 175 quid to start with , only 6 days ago . financial ombudsman now dealing with the highwaymen , does this sound familiar , and yes i did genrate enough evidence of my address , before you use that excuse.

Would give no stars if that were possible. Very unhelpful operator. I wanted to change my car but the quote for the new vehicle was unrealistic, so said I would cancel [less than two months in to my policy] when I found out the refund was £5 I said no don't cancel as I still have the car, but the operator said I've already cancelled as you asked and you can't change your mind now! rip off

After insuring a vehicle with Adrian Flux I had to cancel the policy within 7 days due to unforeseen circumstances. The cancellation charge and fees were absolutely extortionate and there was no leeway given despite the circumstances. Beware of this if you decide to use this insurance company!!

Very friendly, receives proper information. I missed out few things while buying the quote but the advisor was so helpful and handled it very well!!! So far so good i hope this continues

I am not entirely happy, insofar i got a quote from AF last week to change my daughters car and it was £54.00 including admin. I went through the process today with an identical car and was quoted a price circa £220.00 and when i questioned this after sometime they decided to honour the original amendment price of £54.00. Although i am happy that they honoured the price it makes me feel uneasy that someone was trying it on and i shall probably review my future insurance policies using an alternative insurance company.

Very easy to set up provisional insurance for my 17 year old son for his first car. All done online and documents emailed through very quickly. The only thing to watch out for is they sting you if the person passes quickly. Paid £390 on 24th February - passed his test on 5th May and refund was only £98. Bit much that they sting you for cancelling the policy when you have no choice as its not valid as soon as they gave full license.

After reading on here I wasn't very happy with the amount they charged me I am pleased to say that Adrian Flux have now refunded me £42 which I am more then happy with .

like many of your former customers,when you accepted my fee and agreed my insurance,i thought great,thats that sorted.not knowing that I would then be required to sign afidavits that I had a garage and that I would lock my car in it,you asked me for photos both sides of my driving lic etc,etc, I have been driving over 40 years and 10yrs ncb.i decided not to continue with your company as my insurance didn't start until 28th jan. you took my payment 11thjan ,I cancelled on the 13th over the phone.and was told it would cost me£50, I commented its a rip off,and was asked if I read the small print,and was told you would reduce it to £30.which you have taken// I am 78yrs old and never had the misfortune of dealing with people like yourselves. and I have now insured with a slightly more expensive company,online in 15mins. a lesson learned//

Parts stolen off my classic/vintage Foden lorry. As I thought a simple claim! No! Adrian Flux quizzed/interrogated me, by 2 different people and then subjected to a conference call including the DVLA, this took on and off 2½ hours in all. Yes I am clean! A clean licence and 56 years of keeping my nose clean! However devastated as to my loss of the 70 year old parts. I have 10 classic vehicles, some insured with NFU, Flux could learn a lot from the NFU!

I'm only giving 1 star as I can't give none. I don't usually leave reviews so I'll keep it brief.....Absolute shambles of a process. The amount of info they 'require' AFTER you've purchased the policy is a farce. Zero mention of these documents when you're purchasing the policy. Now to top it off they are asking for documents I've already sent them. Never ever again will I insure with this mob. I'll be telling people to steer well clear.....Pun intended.

have been with adrian flux for a number of years and have received nothing but courteous treatment from friendly staff. For me they have never been beaten on price (people should do their homework and if you get a better price from elsewhere then contact them and they will match any prices they have received). Finally, yesterday i had cause to use their breakdown service and their service was second to none. Most helpful, friendly and what could have been traumatic was in fact a quick response and a sympathetic demeanour.

No other insurance company I or anyone I know have been with, has asked for this much information. Spending my time putting my information into the website in the first place to get the insurance should be all they need and they should ask it all at the time. Not wait until after you think your insured to ask for more information that they shouldn't even need. I have sent everything they have asked and there now asking for it again! Absolute waste of time! Will NEVER be using them again!!!

It is standard procedure for no claims bonus evidence to be requested, as is a current mileage reading when a discount has been given on a reduced mileage policy. The only other information that we require is a copy of your driving licence and the accompanying check code. We do understand that sometimes the documentation that we request does generate more work for you and for us, but ultimately our customers benefit from our stringent quality control of new policies. As you took your policy out online it isn't possible to ask for documenation immediately. Instead all online policies are checked and then any necessary paperwork is requested. Kind regards Simon

I have never dealt with such a bunch that are so incompetent it makes you want to cry! ! You receive multiple e mails (apparently sent out daily) asking for documents you have already sent. I have spent hours on the phone trying to sort it. I get cut off - moved from person to person kept on hold, then cut off. A girl just asked me for a degree abso. A decree absolute! for gods sake avoid these peole

I was insured through Motability and decided to buy my own car to save money. I bought a secondhand car and insured it through Adrian Flux. I told you that I had 2 years "no claims" bonus but did not realise that Motability do not give any no claims. After paying you £344.44 I was told I need to pay double. Due to lack of finances i agreed to pay £100.00 up front and then try to get the rest together. I received a letter from you saying you were going to cancel my policy as I owed you £0.00. yes that's right £0.00. I phoned and spoke to a very arrogant lady who did not seem to give a damm. I have now cancelled my policy and you have kindly sent me back £83.00 from the £444.80 I have already paid you. Fighting Cancer and trying to deal with ignorant staff is not what I need. I am now with another reputable company with excellent customer service and reasonable prices. I am now adding the fact that I have been contacted and have agreed to their offer to resolve the issues above.
