“The one thing was when I moved into my house in Sept2013 they sent my renewal to my old adress and because it was not pass onto me they took the money out of my bank account (though they had my new address and the insurance was for my new address, but I got the money back.”

“As experienced with all types of insurance you can no longer rely on renewing a policy without attacting an higher premium. In the past we have just simply paid up - however this no longer applies and it pays to shop around for a number of services, car and house insurance and utiity suppliers. It is well worth it and I am more than satisfied with the deal struck with the Halifax for my car insurance,”

“Purchased via a comparison site and needed to make a few changes to achieve parity with my previous cover (which had become less competitive). I was pleased with the handling of a couple of queries when I telephoned customer services pre-sale. Standard excesses were lower than on my previous policy and the final premium was also cheaper. The offer of £50 cashback sealed the deal and this was received within the promised timescale.”

“There was a hiccup at the beginning of the period of cover when I realised I had no cover note for my son - and myself to show our cover on the car if we were stopped by the police. However that was quickly resolved - but the rest O.K. and I am going to be interested in their cover fee for the new insurance in a few month's time.”
