“Very cheap and no issues with communication or my policy over the past year.”

“I’ll be honest these aren’t that bad. Had a black box for 2 years and they were very lenient. Had no problems with them. And it was easy as to get bonus miles mainly by driving on the motoway. Gone with a different company as sightly cheaper but after 1 day with me new one I want to go back to these”

“Not had a problem with this company but then we've not had to make a claim so of course cannot comment on the claim process or customer service. With regard to top-up miles, you need to think very carefully about choosing the mileage you think you'll cover over a year. We chose 8K for my daughter, working out she'd probably cover between 6.5-7K and allowing for extra. With one month on the policy to go she's just covered over 7K. It states quite clearly on their website what the charges will be so drastically underestimating your predicted mileage to save a few quid is going to hit your pocket severely. The main complaint from most 1-2 star reviewers is cost of top-up miles and feeling you've been conned. Well that's your problem... Absolutely no complaints from me.”

“I am currently 9 months into my policy. I really dislike how the box operates. The box tracks your different areas of driving and monitors And judges with 3 different outcomes. These are red, yellow and green. I dislike how the speed is tracked as being 1 mph over the limit on a road is seen as being 30mph over the limit for that road. Also where the box is shown before you buy it as harsh braking and accelerating is marked different to your speed they are put onto speed. As well as this trying to get through to them takes extremely long. I will most likely not be renewing my policy due to these reasons”

“I have just renewed with insure the box. I see a lot of negative reviews on here about the mileage cap, having to stick to speed limits, the box draining the battery... At the end of the day if you sign up to a policy with a 6000 mile cap you know what your getting into at the start, i personally drive half that a year so it makes sense, if you drive more than that then dont take the policy, if you are unsure if you do then check and make sure top up miles are affordable to you. As for sticking to the speed limits, especially the 20 mph, yes its a nightmare, nobody else does, but again i knew this was the case going in so i cant moan about it. As for the battery being drained by the box, im sure it effects everyone differently but i drive my car very little, sometimes not even once a week and that can be a few miles then nothing again for a week, ive had 2 cars, both older models and never had an issue with my battery. I also see some negative reviews on the customer service, I have spoken to them a few times over the time i have been with them and they have been nothing but polite and helpful. The only issue i had was that my renewal was a week late (they state that it will be 21 days before end of policy, but was actually 14) which isn't the end of the world. With anything in life its best to look closely at what you are getting yourself into before commuting, I knew about 6000 miles, i knew about having to stick to the speed limits so i stick to these things, why people are moaning is beyond me, you knew going in. Yes the top up miles are a bit excessive but again you knew about this going in, info is available. I haven't had to claim and hope i never will, so cant comment on this, but from what i know about the company i would recommend without hesitation.”

“the issue I had with the black box generally is that if you have to drive during unsociable hours in the night then there is no way you can build up any bonus points. in effect this policy cost me as much as one without a black box so no savings and I would not suggest this to rural drivers who have high mileage in fairness the site is easy to use and the call staff were polite but unhelpful if you are employed in all hours work.”
