“1. I had to take out my policy over the phone as my new bike registration number did not find my bike details and there was not an exact match in the model drop-down list. The phone price was considerably more than I expected from on-line quotes. 2. I specified that I would be carrying a pillion and had modifications (luggage) on the bike. The covering letter with the policy document implied that I couldn't carry a pillion, and the document itself said "no modifications". I had to contact MCE and new documents were issued. 3. I later noticed that my No Claims information was incorrect as it specified the wrong previous insurance company. This is the company that insures my car. Firstly, I don't want to transfer the NCD from my car as I still have the car, and second, I more a much larger NCD on my bike than my car. I contacted MCE again and was told "The insurer previously does not affect your policy in any way but, I will get this updated for you" If it has been updated, I haven't received anything.”

“This has to be the worst insurance company for communiction! It is near impossible getting intouch at times. I need to renew my insurance soon with MCE but this situation really is a massive issue. MCE you need to up your game, everyone i've spoken to who have used are all saying the same thing.”

“Quick and easy cover. Phoned to renew my motorcycle insurance having had a 9 month break. The assistant on the phone was extremely efficient and polite, as he guided me through the necessary questions and proposed premiums. Very happy. Shall be staying with them!”

“Awful. Cheap and Awful. hours on the phone for anything that isn't a direct sales meeting. 14-second loop on their hold music. When I actually needed their help it took literally 17 hours over the course of weeks, each with a 40 minute hold wait at the start. Staff were rude and unhelpful”

“Quick service once I was able to speak to an advisor. However, lines were constantly congested before that, and the website was very difficult to get a renewal quote online. (Why not call up last year's details?). We also discovered that incorrect details had been put in last year (engine size) so technically I hadn't been insured for a year ! Why not let people enter their registration number for an "instant" look up of vehicle details??? Other insurance do this !”

“MCE was the ONLY insurer to offer me a policy below £1000!! Which is crazy for a 26 year old on a 125cc bike!! Very happy, and very quick to complete the purchase”
