“This insurer was poor. Moving address the week after taking out the policy the amount doubled in price over the phone. When looking online for other quotes the MCE quote was lower than quoted over the phone they said this is only online and I cannot use that one, I was disgusted as the price doubled over the phone and online they wouldn't allow me to take this quote. Called customer service again and was told someone would call me back no one did! Waited another few days and called them again was told that I am now over the 14 days to cancel so have to pay a fee explained was waiting for someone to call me back and they didn't care. Explained that I need to pay £25 to cancel and need to fill out a form however couldn't fill form out there and then as had to rush my pregnant girlfriend to the hospital, advised them I am 100% going to cancel but need to rush off. Took my girlfriend to hospital where she have birth but was kept in for 4 days after. Got a letter from the hospital to explain I was with her and this happened. Sent all documents over to them ready to pay the cancellation and was told it had gone up to £75 because they pro rata the cancellation fee. Had to take this to the FOS before they would agree to the £25 originally stated. Would not recommend MCE to anyone disgusted with their customer service and treatment!”

“Ok at giving you insurance, but no notice of renewal date? and will not send proof of no claims discount even though calling them twice within a week, (costing money to call) although promising to send by email 24hours and also by post, have received nothing in 2 weeks, this as caused my new insurer to cancel my new policy !! many thanks MCE”

“I still have my recent motorcycle ins with them but suspect they will not re~insure me as they with my other motorcycle when it runs out in August ~ No reason was given but I suspect it was because I had become 80 years old ~ This is hard to take as in my 50 odd years of motorcycling I have only ever made two claims ~last one was over 35 years ago . When I had to find another insurer for my first bike ~it went up over 250% ~ trying to get proof of a non claims bonus for my new insurers from MCE was hopeless I wrote e-mails and letters to no avail. They even told them I was not entitled to one !”

“Will never use again. Expert Con-team. They tell you your insurance is low, but their excess is more than triple what any other company provides and they try to hide it as much as possible.”
