I wanted a new policy for another vehicle so as I already had 2 policies with them thought it would be easier to insure with them. Not the case you can no longer phone but have to do it online. I will go to somebody you can log in with and do not have to spend so long filling in forms in future.

I received my quote and then went onto a comparison site and got it significantly cheaper.I called and was told to just book it on the comparison site the agent wasn't very helpful . I think you should reward your loyal customers with the best available quotation on renewable.

My renewal amount was 21% higher and when I enquired I didn't receive a proper answer as to why and I certainly did not receive any prior notice of such an increase. I'm not impressed.

Spoke to a really nice helpful guy in customer services who was very good. Not happy to have to do everything online as I couldn't get a new policy by talking to someone over the phone.

To renew an existing policy with no changes had to wait over 10 minutes for phone to be answered and then the same old questions as last year which take ages. Nothing has changed. I accept the quote provided. Why can’t I just pay on line?

The call centre person I spoke with didn't know what she was doing. My questions were met with silence while she hunted for an answer. An easy renewal took ages while she asked me the exact same questions completed on last year's policy. It seemed as she didn't have this in front of her. I'm very happy with the policy schedule, cover and its value for money, but MCE should employ better staff.

Called to renew my policy, always been easy but this time what went wrong! It’s clear to say that your call centre team appears to have been outsourced, to individuals who do not understand English, so when saying I want to renew being met with you want to make an accident claim was surprising. 4 calls later due to long waits, being cut off etc, eventually got a coherent person who was great and renewed!! Poor rating is for the other handlers who were just not capable, became obstructive, then rude, one saying you don’t have to take insurance, that what you get. Come on MCE, I know you can do better.

It took several calls over 3 days to get through to the renewals team. The system just kept me waiting with no indication of where I was in the queue or how long I would be waiting. The person I did eventually speak to had technical difficulties with the computer, so put me on hold, and the line went dead! When I called back 5 minutes later, the renewal price had gone up! I was told that 'that's what happens' and there was nothing that they could do about it. Not a great experience.

The excess is very high, i take the chance to save some money on the premium, many irelevant questions demanded on application, what difference dose it make if i am married for instance, none of your dam business but you insist on knowing this. Why?

That’s my third year with MCE and I can tell you that customer service is been worse every year, I’ve spent more than hour to renew my insurance, just waiting on the phone was 20 min this is unacceptable, I hope for the next year you getting better customer services.

When I called the lady couldn’t understand my English I had to repeat my self a number of times sorry but why do employe people that can’t understand English they talk like a bloody robot

Several attempts to get through to a person. Holding for a very long time with every call. Wanted to simply accept a renewal quote with no changes to the policy. Took forever. Next year will have to change insurance - can’t go through that again.

The person i eventually spoke to was very helpful, and we got sorted in the end - however to get to that point was ridiculous. I called the number on the bottom of the renewal email, selected the appropriate options and went onto the hold system. After 32 minutes, someone answered, asked my name and the reason for my call. I advised it was to renew at which point she said it was the wrong department, and i would need to speak to someone in sales. I explained that I selected the option to renew and that i had already been on hold for 32 minutes. She advised me someone from sales was near her and she would transfer me "quickly". The call in total took 1 hr 23 minutes!

20 mins on hold, gave up, another 20 minutes, then an answer, but with communication issues, gave up. Another 10 mins waiting again, then an answer. Once speaking to the agent it was fine and my insurance renewed. But very poor until that point, hope they're better than this if I ever need them.

Not able to renew on website, phone only renewal but nobody answers the phone. Only able to renew online via comparison website but at extra cost.

Just wanted to renew my insurance, but it took over an hour to sort out. Initial phone calls were breaking up, and required repeated calls. Operative difficult to understand, and time on hold waiting to be transferred to the sales department was over an hour. All it needed is a tick box on the reminder email to confirm whether renewal of the policy was required or not. Not impressed at all!!
