Paid for insurance 1/7/20 for insurance to start 7/5/20 as of 11/7/20 still not received policy. However we have received request for review and text message re breakdown number.

The on-line quotation form was straightforward to complete. Bought policy but received no email confirmation. Logging into system to view documents took 2 days before my ID was recognised. The policy document pdf was initially blank. On-line chat sorted that very quickly. Then wanting to change details - tried calling and on hold for 12 minutes, no answer. Voice recording suggested the web On-line chat. Tried that - got an answer but still need to make call. This time on hold for 24 mins and still no answer. Not got through yet to make needed amendments.

I took out a renewal policy with you 5 days ago . You’ve had the money but at this moment Iv had no email or post to confirm receipt of money and policy acceptance . So not impressed this time

Got this email to ask how they have done but still don’t have my policy after paying in full, they have been fantastic the last couple of years I have used them however the sheen is wearing off after this time!

Poor customer service. 6 days and waiting for policy documents! Even after two calls. Phone service wait is awful, dont bother....

Took over 3 days to be able to pay for the policy and a lot of expensive phone calls. Also took a lot of messaging over another 3 days to get the policy documents, which has delayed the delivery of my new bike

Web application form very poor compared to other providers; breakdown recovery only 20 miles from home - no option to upgrade given. When tried to upload NCD proof in afternoon - error message said "uploads only accepted 7:00 to 22:00hrs!" Online agent was very good - advise error message due to NCD proof not required! (so wrong and confusing error message).

Renewal process all geared around online - don’t even bother trying to get through to the call centre as you’ll just wait for ever then discover a big call charge from your mobile provider. The only way to speak to someone is to go to online chat (a bot) and request a callback. Why MCE can’t provide a straight renewal quote based on last year’s info I don’t know. Couldn’t use the customer portal either as it wouldn’t let me in. Very frustrating renewal process.

Tried to call and left waiting for over 16 minutes at a cost of some £12+ for premium rate phone call. Hung up in the end and still didn’t get to speak to anyone about my questions, so not very impressed.

I am sorry to say that your Call Centre is appalling. I struggled to understand the person that I was connected to and she was unable to answer my query. She then disconnected my call. I re - contacted, was told that I was to be transferred to another department and was agin disconnected. I then attempted to make payment on - line. Your system would not connect to my Bank to authorise payment. I abandoned this. Eventually I managed to speak with someone who was able to process my renewal although again the telephone connection was poor and I struggled to understand him. He was however unfailingly polite and patient. I also attempted on - line 'chat. No - one answered after an unacceptable delay. I view my renewal experience as an hour of my life wasted. On the plus side your premiums are favourable.

MCE has been our choice of insurer/broker for many years now, but this will not last much longer if they do not start to sort out their customer service representatives. There are still some good people there, but It seems less and less likely that you will be put through to one. If you have ever worked in customer care you will know that you have to actually care, if you don’t or you have a patronising attitude you will just annoy people and lose their custom for the company you work for. I really hope MCE can get the right people to work for them again and get rid of the dross, they have been so good in the past and we bikers need them to stay that way.

Price increase yet again, fobbed off as premium tax, hmm I can smell something very similar to bull s#$%, and the most annoying part of renewing, trying to get through on the phone, three attempts, 20 mins each time charged extra on top of my service provider charges, complete rip off !

I rang up to discuss a quote i was given from go compare and had to wait 45 minutes to be answered by someone who obviously had no idea about my insurance querys. Then transfered me to sales and I was waiting for over 45mins and still didn't get through. So i tryed the online chat got straight through to joanne and explained everything then she just stoped replying. I was getting frustrated by this point then spoke to carlo on chat and he we good and arranged a call back. In the end the person i spoke to who i bought the insurance off was very good. The price of the insurance was cheap for good cover thats the only reason i persisted.

I have been a customer for 5 years and insured a second bike last year. I got a quote of Bike Insurer for this years insurance with MCE which I was happy with. I then contacted MCE to go ahead with this and the price was £100 more than previously quoted on Bike Insurer. I asked why this was and wasn't given a straight answer. As this new quote (on phone) was only £20 more than the next cheapest quote I went ahead to avoid the hassle of changing companies . I don't see how an insurance company who I have never used can insure me cheaper than one I've been with for 5 years. I will be changing insurance company next time round.
