What an headache to deal with the only insurance company to ask for both sides of your driving licence when you ask why they need it they say for your address when this is clearly marked on your proof of no claims discount they also want they also dont stop there they also want you to get a code from dvla so they can check your license with them as well this is the only company this year to ask me for all this and I have several insurances they are also only been going for six years so are very new this is what they told me when I ask how long they had been trading my personal opinion is to go with someone else I hope this help others

I was disappointed with the attitude of the customer service agent I spoke to, her demeanour was combative. Also the wait on the phone was exceptionally long. I got an email saying my policy would be cancelled before my existing policy provider had chance to process my proof of no claims bonus.

I called up 2 days after setting up my policy to say I have a private plate on my bike and was told its an additional £50 to change it! I then said I want to canel the policy (Carol Nash were £100 cheaper anyway) and was told it would be £70 charge to cancel the policy aftrr 2 days. I will not be renewing with this company.

Too much information needed to validate policy I have never been asked for DVLA codes and photos of licenses before just to start the policy

Thanks for the honest feedback, we understand your comments and can appreciate the process can seem frustrating. However, most other insurers ask for the same/similar documents in an attempt to reduce fraudulent claims and ensure policy details are correct. We hope you now understand why we ask for these documents.

If you require copies of D.L, CBT, and a DVLA code, ask for these up front. Then, I send these, you acknowledge receipt, and I receive an e-mail saying my insurance will be cancelled and I send them again. I now dont know if I'm insured or not.

The offer was better than others when I was shopping around. Unfortunately they tried to take the first payment (after the deposit was taken and insurance started) just in 5 days. There was no money on account and it led to £30 fee from Close Brothers Finance and £8 from my bank for the refused direct debit. It made this insurance less competitive. The worst thing is - just 14 days later I received the payment plan with first payment backdated.

Hi Oskars, thanks for your honest feedback. We understand your frustrations, however, when opting to pay through a loan agreement, the terms and conditions are explained to you over the phone by the Sales agent of which you have to agree with before continuing with the purchase. Please note when purchasing a van insurance policy, the first instalment is always taken nine days after (not five as you have stated), this is instructed by the loan agreement company; Close Brothers Premium Finance in line with their conditions. We are unsure of what you mean regarding the backdated first payment, please respond to the private message we have sent and we can look into this further.

Gave them the previous insurers renewal request, clearly stating my no claims, but that's not good enough! although they tell you over and over they share your data if you lie etc, they cannot even confirm my no claims themselves? - or confirm if what I sent was right, which clearly it is !! They have poor customer service, but silver cloud and all that – gone elsewhere for less and better cover ! Now lets see how long they take to refund :-(

The worst experience I have had getting my bike insured. they actually owe me money from last year when they took too much, still waiting to get it back, then they refused to send me my NCD because they said I hadnt paid for my OTHER CBR, I dont have another one and never had. Spoke to numerous different agents and all dont seem to know whats going on. Dont waste your time and phone calls, pay more and use someone else.
