“Firstly the renewal was £70 MORE than taking out a fresh policy as a new customer. Then they want proof of no claims in two weeks or they will cancel policy. My policy doesn't end for two weeks so I can't get proof of no claims from them to send back to them. I try to call to discuss this, two calls on hold for 10 mins each no reply. I email them which takes 1 week to get a reply but doesnt answer the questions. Another 35mins on the phone today to eventually get a reply!!! I cancelled the policy!!”

“Bikers Beware! Check those 'broker admin fees' before you sign up to this broker's service. They tried to charge me £60 to make a simple address change. When I cancelled the policy owing to find a much cheaper quote online for my new address they charged me over £250 to cancel the policy. I still cancelled as the new quote was so much cheaper. My new provider charges £20 for an address change and cancellation fees are much lower too. The few times I called this provider I was on hold for over 10 minutes too, with no apology for the delay when the call was eventually connected. Really poor customer service overall. Avoid.”

“I recently took out a Multibike Motorbike policy through Principal Insurance which is underwritten by Aviva. The agent, Sam, was excellent. Despite my million and one queries to ensure everything was as it should be, Sam continued to be pleasant, patient and and exceptionally helpful throughout. I must have been on the phone with him for nearly an hour and he never once tried to rush me. The quote given was very competitive albeit it did not include extras. The extras such as helmet and leather cover, personal accident etc would have taken me well above what I wanted to pay. When I explained that to Sam he asked me to hold the line for a few minutes and then came back to me with a discounted price offer which was very appealing. Taking out the policy was a breeze and I'd highly recommend principal to anyone looking to take a policy. I've only just started the policy so haven't had any claims, but I feel comfortable knowing the policy is underwritten primarily by Aviva with the add on products being underwritten by other companies.”

“Phone answered quickly by Liz who was very friendly, knowledgable and able to help me with my enquiry. She explained everything, sorted my additional cover and made the whole thing a pleasant experience. I would highly recommend Principal Insurance and in particular Liz who is a credit to them.”

“The second person I spoke to was really helpful and friendly & repaired the damage done by the first who was abrupt and unhelpful. I was unhappy that my policy was auto renewed 8 days before the renewal date, especially as I had requested that it be stopped less than 24 hours previously.”

“I made a withdrawal request and didn’t receive any response for several days. Shortly after, the balance in my wallet suddenly went missing. After a week passed without any clarification, I contacted support through the email in my bio (EMAIL IN MY BIO), and they were able to help me retrieve the lost funds. Although I’m relieved the situation was resolved, the overall experience left me uneasy. It’s important for users to feel confident that their funds are secure and that any issues will be handled promptly. Strengthening the reliability and responsiveness of customer support would go a long way in building that trust.”

“Principal Insurance was the most competitive on price. I prefer to talk to someone when arranging insurance rather than online. This worked very efficiently and only took less than 30 minutes to complete.”
