Apparently my blackbox was either a dud or not installed correctly (even though it was installed by a mechanic!) and then they cancel my insurance after a matter of days, no refund, no option to prove it was installed, nothing. No customer support or regard to ensuring customers are happy at all. Without doubt one of the poorest businesses practices I have experienced. When challenged they responded 'Well, we didn't receive communication from you saying you couldn't install it or that it wasn't working?' .. well no sh*t, I thought it was done correctly.

Appalling service. Wouldn't send an engineer out to have a look at my box as it doesn't fit my battery. Then was told I had to cancel my insurance because of this and tried to charge me all the cancellation fees. Stay clear of Wise Driving.

My elderly neighbour had his identity stolen, probably from the voting register. His name and address were used to secure car insurance with a number of companies. The policies were then cancelled. The companies then wrote to my neighbour confirming cancellation apart from WiseDriving who also included a threat to collect a cancellation fee. All the companies except WiseDriving achknowledged the phone call to inform them of the identity theft. Yet despite four phone calls and a letter to the CEO, Mr Munro, all providing WiseDriving with police crime numbers - this company is still sending letters to my neighbour and now has twice threatened him with a debt collection agency. If this is how they behave I would have a very hard think before you give them your business.

Do not use this comlany .they took £204 from me and will not I've it back. I called over 60 times to get a black box fitted and they never once picked up the phone. Because I complained about this they cancelled my insurance without telling me. I got pulled over by the police and I'm in danger of losing my licence. Every time I call them too discus they hang up the phone. PLEASE DO NOT USE. also worth mentioning the moment you get insurance from they they up your monthly cost without any warning. They 're rude nAsty people

Hi, We don't have a curfew so you are able to drive at any time, but we do record the time of day that you drive. This is because statistics show driving between the hours of 11 pm and 5 am your at a higher risk of having an accident. We don't stop you driving between these times as we know sometimes this is unavoidable but by reducing or not driving between these hours you reduce your risk of making a claim. Thanks, Vicky

Absolute shambles of a company little or no help .. had premium at just over 100 pound per month t so days after made payment for second month got a letter informing me premium was more than doubling at a cost of £35 to me ... Phoned to cancel this is another £71 cost to me on top of the £237 set up and two payments of £106 for that's over £500 1 months insurance .. avoid at all costs robbing B@#£tards...

My son went with this company after the second year they doubled his payments. Told him he had a claim as well which he had not after clarrifying this with the claims department they demanded payments and were harrassing him .Beware a scam !!

This is a scam been with the company for 1 year with 1 years no claims at a price of £987.99. The renewal price with this company is £1,057.78 with 2 YEARS NO CLAIMS, ABSOLUTE SCAM STAY AWAY. New search found the price to be £876.71 on Compare the market, £181.07‬ difference, for staying with the same company WHY!!!

Hi, We're sorry to read you're unhappy. There can be several reasons why a renewal may not go down in price. We are a broker so we manage and arrange the insurance but the cover, claims and price are determined by an insurer. We use a panel of different insurers we can offer insurance policies with. The price of insurance is based on what is called "risk" this is when all the details you've asked to provide are looked at against statistics. For example, with address, things like accident and crime rate in that area may be looked at. All your details will be checked and the price will be based on how all these factors affect the risk of a claim being made. Now at renewal, all these details are looked at again. Over the last year, statistics could have changed, again for an example with an address, the crime rate in that area could have gone up, this means that address becomes a higher risk than last year. This then affects the price offered by the insurer at renewal. In regards to new prices, this will not take into account the driving score you have received during the year, it may also be with one of our other insurers and they do sometimes apply discounts to new policies that they don't on renewals. DONT GO WITH THIS COMPANY I was quoted £1200, annually, for a small car as a student. Which was a normal price, due to the location i was in and staying in student accomodation. HOWEVER, the telematics device i had was absolute rubbish, i was emailed numerous times saying it was removed, i admit, at the beginning i thought using the device was pretty good. Because my scores were great and after a couple of months my monthly price went down. During the next score review all my scores had dropped drastically, even though i drove the car exactly the same, even focusing on staying under the limit by 5mph and revving really low (yeah it was embarassing). After the next review my price went up again. I am now 1 month of renewal and my price is higher than what it was at the start. Its an absolute joke. After i finished Uni, i called to say i was now employed and no longer a student and i live in a different area. BUT, for this luxury i was told i needed to pay an extra £200 just to say that i'm employed and no longer a student. I was finding quotes for £300 annually for my car with no telematics device when i moved back home. Customer service is useless. Can't express annoyance or tell them that you aren't happy with the service without the threat of cancelling my policy or hanging up (FYI i didn't use any language or aggression) I will definitely never use this company again

Wouldn’t recommend this telematics company. I had a black box last year with another company and never had an issue so opted for a black box again. My acceleration has been on 0 most times, apparently this is due to the fact that the RPM is recommended to be maximum 2000, I drive on the motorway a lot and to stick to 2000 RPM i need to drive 45 miles per hour! It’s not safe. Rang to discuss a few times to no avail. After 3 months premiums went up to an extra £500 for the year. I currently pay £200 per month! Disgraceful company.

Absolutely do not recommend this company! I was with them for my first year and renewed my for my 2nd year. After being with them for 4 months into my 2 year the exact same black box I had the first year apparently didn’t work any more and they cancelled my insurance. Me being in the army and currently based over sea and have limited access to internet and have no SIM card they cancel my policy , and had no second thought to try help me out and rejected My request to reinstate my Policy ! No thoughts for your customers , or any exceptions for being out of the country and having limited resources ! Marking me stress about thing like this when on operations , absolutely terrible customer service .

Was 100 then acceleration dropped to 0 out of know where for past week and half I know for a fact am not driving bad bunch of scammers

The level of service provided by Wise Driving is absolutely shocking and beyond disgrace. Honestly stay far away from these scammers. I took out an insurance policy on the August 3rd 2019, apparently there is a 14 day period for the Black box to be installed. I have tried relentless this week to schedule appointment as the 14 day window ends on August 17th but there are no engineers apparently/ This was their response: "Dear Mr **** As per our telephone conversation please be advised the next available appointment will be on the 28/08/2019. This date well outside the 14 days that you get to get box fitted, this suggest the policy will definitely cancel before that date as an extension would not be granted because we have tried to get in touch with you to book the appointment but were not available. You will receive an email confirming when your policy will cancel, all cancellation charges will apply in line with our terms and conditions. If you have any questions or would like to discuss your policy, please call our Customer Services team on 01733 308358 and we'll be happy to talk things through with you, we're here 8:00am - 8:00pm Monday to Friday, 9:00am - 5:00pm Saturdays and 10:00am - 4:00pm Sundays and Bank Holidays. Yours sincerely, The WiseDriving Team" I was made to understand their party installation company Diareyes contacted me on August 13th to book an appointment so now they have no engineers until August 28th. Funny enough, It's my fault for not booking an appointment on time though it's still within the 14 day window and to make matters worse, they can actually extend the period to 21 days, which means they have until August 24th to install the telematics device but guess what, there are no engineers available until August 28th so it's my fault. I've lost £169 which was paid as deposit and then will get charged termination fees, the figure is unknown at this stage thus I wait their cancellation with costs... Also I will be charged £150 for the installation of the Telematics device bearing in mind, it cant be installed because there no engineers available until August 28th. The customer service is very very poor and I'm seriously considering legal action against these fraudsters. Client reference 4417261/001

Terrible service I'm now left with no insurance as the black box is not compatible with my car. These are cheap for a reason! Finally been offered a £90 refund but now stuck until it goes into my account, so unless you can afford the loss, I'd avoid at all costs. There are more reliable courteous companies out there who value your business

A one star rating is even too high. Absolutely disgusting company, very unfair and inconsiderate of people’s living situations. Cancelled my policy after only a month of having it due to having one bad event with a black box. Cancelled the policy and gave me only 6 days to find a new insurance company. When told my situation they continued to tell me there is nothing they can do. Would not recommend this company to my worst enemy. Absolutely FOUL.

Absolute joke of a company! Still waiting for a refund after two weeks! Bare in mind my insurance was £850.00 for the year then they added an extra £400.00 on to be paid was threatening to cancel my policy if wasn’t paid then when I paid it they got back in touch with me a month later asking for £623 to add more mileage. I have cancelled the policy and waiting on a refund which every time I ring I keep getting fobbed off. Imagine if I owed them money? The emails would be getting sent constantly. I would avoid this company. Oh then they wanted to charge me £90 to take the black box out even though I paid £150 for it to be put in!!!!
