My premium seems to have doubled within the first 2 months even with the car barely being driven. The dashboard shows no data at all so cannot even assess if there is a problem with my driving. I cannot seem to manage to g4t through on the phone to discuss!!

Absolute joke of a company charge ridiculous amounts to cancel, £150 for a box that doesn’t even read accurate and customer service is disgraceful, spent 45 minutes waiting to get through and was charged for it. Currently trying to cancel my policy for having a score under 30 on my black box which has no chance at all of being accurate, please avoid this company at all costs it’s the cheapest for a reason, scam artists!!!!

Absolutely rubbish! Avoid at all costs. Ridiculous cancellation fees and terrible customer service that will all lie to you and tell you incorrect information. Charged £170+ to cancel the policy after being with them for 18 months!

They cancelled my policy due to me being one day late with a £40 payment as my score had gone down a little. I even called to explain I was waiting for my new card and pin to arrive and would call them. Arrived at work, called them to pay only be told they had cancelled my policy at 09:06 and it was only 09:15 when I called. I paid £1100 for the year as I'm a new driver and this is how they treat me. Reported them and having my case reviewed as this will follow me for life. All for 1 day and £40

I currently need to speak to someone and am finding them very hard to get a hold of. Not responded to my emails. And it is difficult for me to telephone due to work hours. Also When I joined wise driving for my insurance I was told about the app they have. I then downloaded the app and it said my policy does not work with the app even though I was told about it. My previous insurer was ingenie and from my experience from both, ingenie were much better.

Absolute rip off. My driving scores have been excellent for three months and they have not returned any premium as they advertise. Very disappointing.

Shocking company, what ever it may cost avoid this company. Rude staff and charges absurd amounts for no reason. At all cost avoid this company. I have been trying to cancel my insurance to selling my car but on top of the £75 cancellation fee, they charge further cost for time you haven't used the car. It increased or decreases depending on what day in the week you have called. Could increase for the following week even if you've paid the previous month. AVOID!!!

Hi Moore, We're sorry to read you're unhappy. In regards to cancellation to explain this more first we work out the total you have paid and then we then work out the total cost of the policy up until the day of cancellation. This would include the cost for the number of days insured, a cancellation fee and any non-refundable fees and charges that may apply to the policy, for instance, optional extras that may have been taken out, renewal fees, admin fees etc. Once we have a total paid and total cost we then work out the difference so if you've paid more than it cost we would refund any overpayment. If it's cost more than you've paid then any outstanding you would need to pay. It's important to note that this cost can change if you change the date of the cancellation as this is calculated on the number of days you've been insured. One monthly instalment also does not add up to one month worth of insurance. If you'd like to discuss this further please send us a private response with your details. Thanks, Vicky

My daughter has been with wise since March this year and despite our concerns, things have been uneventful. Fast forward to now..... My daughter bought a new car, we submitted a change of vehicle request and received an email to say this has resulted in a refund of £150, brilliant! In the meantime, we received another email to say that her driving had been reviewed which had resulted in another £150 refund! Imagine my shock when the monthly premiums had increased by £50! When I questioned this, I was told that the refund due to a change of car was an error and in fact there was an increase but had failed to tell us. They also denied the driver review refund and said this has never happened. I logged onto her account and conveniently, both of these emails had gone!! Just disappeared and also from her personal email account so we now have zero proof. They promised to re-send but that has never happened. I was told that there was absolutely nothing they could do and we had to suck it up! This company also state that you are regularly reviewed on your driving and will receive a decrease in your premium to reward good driving. What they fail to tell you is that if you are a consistently good driver, you will only be rewarded once. This is because you only get a refund if your driving score increases by 10, this is impossible if your scores are always 90 plus. So the only option is to drive poorly, pay a penalty and have your premium increased before it can decrease again! FALSE ADVERTISING!

Every since I’ve had the insurance with you, I’ve had problem after problem and no resolution. I wouldn’t not recommend you to anyone, would tell them to go else were.

Avoid at all costs absolutely ridiculous fees. Two weeks in and can’t even cancel because it will cost far too much. Read everything 0 If possible in-fact -10

AWFUL! DONT PAY OUT FOR MECHANICAL FAULTS! Black box monitoring is appalling! Insurance will only go up every month, regardless how slow or sensible you drive. THEY DO NOT PAY FOR MECHANICAL FAULTS SO IF A TURBO BLOWS THEN YOU MAY ASWELL WAVE YOUR CAR AND INSURANCE GOODBYE

Keep putting up my premium as my driving score is ‘low’. I drive an AMG Mercedes and when I accelerate it’s classed as poor driving. I should have known not to go with these in the first place. They recently charged me an extra £497 as my driving score dropped to ‘30’.

If I could I wouldn't give them 1* I have been with this insurance company for 8 months from the beginning I was very happy with the service provided but as time went on 3rd month in they started to take more money from my bank account than they should have been when this first happened I contacted them regarding it which they agreed that it was there mistake and it would be back in my bank within 14 working days I waited until my next payment came out which again they took more than they should have this is where the real trouble began getting passed from employee to employee reading off a script they were no help what so ever I eventually managed to get an email address for one of the managers who has been more than useless at sorting out this problem to the point that it said I wasnt on the insurance and the insurance wasnt at my home address which later on they admitted it was another fault on their behalf after months of going back and forth I still haven't made progress to getting my money back that they owe me and have admitted to! If you want your money stolen from you and a company that dosent value or treat there customers well then I highly recommend wise drive. AVOID THIS COMPANY AT ALL COSTS!!

Having over 10 years driving experience with no accident, I took the wrong decision to have a black box. With no proper reason they increased my car insurance with almost 500£ extra. "We've recently reviewed your Driving Behaviour Score for the whole month, and your score info can be seen below. Your driving score is: 36. As your score has gone down over the last month, the cost of your insurance has gone up: Additional cost of insurance: £497.00 (Including Insurance Premium Tax at current rates and excluding any interest payable)" I didn’t use my car for 2 weeks in September and I receive a similar email that I’ll have to pay more if I don’t do a better score. I really don’t recommend this insurance company. Cheap in the beginning and expensive after. Now I pay over 2000£ annual for smart forfour car 1l engine.
