The only way to get anything done with this company is to make legal threats or threaten to go to the police

They are now trying to cancel my policy just before renewal, because my car went in for repairs. This appears to be an attempt to prevent me from getting more no claims bonus, which is of course 100% illegal. If this issue isnt resolved soon, I'm going to the police. Stay away from this shady company.

DO NOT USE THIS INSURANCE COMPANY. They are truly awful, they will take money off you when they feel like it, refuse to allow you to cancel without paying a ridiculous amount. Con artists!! save yourself a lot of money and don't use them

£256 to cancel my insurance? Ridiculous, they hold you ransom and try to charge you more each month for your premium claiming you have a bad ‘driving score’ yet I’ve complained numerous times about my black box being faulty but they’re not interested.

Never ever I will took this company again! And not recomend it too! Service terribal. While I had insurance with WiseDriving 1 year I did call them 3 times. Only one time was ok, another 2 times staff on the line was unprofessional and rude. When I started get insurance with WiseDriving, company installed Monitoring box in my car. I paid for that £150 and I have been told when I will leave all will be paid back. Today my insurance with WiseDriving ending and I made call to ask when Monitoring box could be remove from my car and money returned. Answer was wonderful - I should pay £90 for remove Monitoring box or left it where it is. And company not returning money for Monitoring box. When I said I have been told diferent, lady on the line simly repited company not return money. What is this? What WiseDriving doing? Are they fooling people?

Hi Armands, The box/ new business fee is included in the price of the policy for the year and it is advised in our terms and conditions that this is non-refundable. This fee does not just pay for the box but for a few things such as setting up the contract to collect data, and admin fees for the policy set up. If you can send us a private response with your details we can look into this further for you. Thanks, Vicky

Although the online portal is useful the service is terrible. Have been receiving great feedback for all but one of my scores. Have asked for advise which hasn't been given. Rude and unhelpful.

If your a new driver it's hard to say how many miles per year you will do, I guessed at 4000 but run out 7months in and you screw me proper for extra miles I'm now paying nearly 300 a month for a old daewoo that other insurance companies charge 100 for

simply the worst experience I could possibly have with this insurance company, this is nothing, but a rip off, do not bother even looking at their website. it might be bit cheaper but from the start point (fitting black box) you get serious issues with them. do not try and waste your money. bought the policy, the company failed to instal the so-called black box, multiple calls and request to send somebody to install it, then received threatening emails everyday saying your policy will be cancelled as black box is not installed but when asking about when they can install no help was provided, finally Cancelled insurance due to black box issue but they charged the full fee, I complained to get the money back

Terrible company. Putting my insurance costs up. Changing my direct debit date in which caused me 2 late fees of £45 each. Due to being away they automatically renewed my insurance for a year without telling me adding a extra £70 on every month then won’t let me cancel due to being ‘in a payment cycle’. Anyone who’s thinking about getting insured by these, don’t! They are a joke put your money somewhere else even if it’s not extra because the cost doesn’t go down here.

Cancelled my policy after their own engineer failed to take useable photos. An engineer I had to pay for the privilege of failing to do a simple task properly. Over £1000 taken from me for less than 3 months insurance. Absolutely disgraceful company. Avoid!!

I paid for the policy on the 6 Sept 2019 with the start date of the policy on the 7 Sept 2019. Almost immediately after I signed up, I decided that driving with a telematics box was not something I would be happy with. I sent an email thorough their contact us web page, requesting the cancellation of my policy within minutes of the transaction. I would have phoned but this was about 10pm and the phone lines were closed. When I had not heard back after 2 days, I phoned them and was told that I should have used a different email address to contact them which would have produced a quicker reply. As a result I have not been able to cancel my policy in time before the start date and have had to pay for cover. I feel it is completely unacceptable and unfair to expect the customer to know which email address is preferred and therefore would generate a quicker response. Unhappy customer.

Selling my car and the costs to cancel are ridiculous. Even though I have had a policy for a few years they still want to charge for the box, surely this is now paid for. Spoke to customer service agent today and she could not even give me a cost I will need to pay to cancel until the actual day, even though I said do it as if today. I need to make sure I am not out of pocket selling the car. She also could not explain the commission cost. Seems you are charging commission when its already been included in the monthly payments.

Everything I have done with wisedriving has been a shambles. Avoid using this insurer at all costs. Terrible , rude and arrogant customer service. General incompetence in their methods. They cancelled my policy without calling me once to warn me because their black box readings weren’t coming through. They claim because they sent me an email asking me to contact them it was enough to cancel my policy even though I responded to the email in the given timeframe. Bear in mind they sent me a similar email the month before and after scrambling to call them in fear I was told it was an error on their side.

Hi CSL, We're sorry to read you're unhappy. Making changes to the policy details can affect the price. The cost of insurance is based on the details and how they affect the chances of a claim being made. By driving more miles this can increase the chances of an accident. If you'd like to discuss this further please send us a private response with your details. Thanks, Vicky
