Disgusting service. My 19 year old had a policy with them March 2018, he had a car crash and they deemed the car a write off in November 2018 they paid him out. He tried to cancel the policy in Decemeber 2018 after being paid out, they have a recording of the call they told him they couldn’t as there was another driver involved and his claim wasn’t settled. Fair enough. Looked at my credit card statement this month April 2019 they have taken out a renewal for £3600 for a car they wrote off. We rang them thinking they would correct their mistake they said it was our mistake for not notifying them the car was written off and will charge is up to the date we rang them. Apparantly the underwriter does not commmunicate with the broker!! Well that’s bad practice we shouldn’t have to pay for!! We are being charged for insuring a car that we do not have and they should no. Steer clear pay the little bit extra and go to a reputable company.

As a first time driver I did not expect to have this much hassle with an insurance policy. Since I’ve had my telematics device I’ve had non stop issues which this company have failed to resolve. Firstly, the scoring system is nonsense. They claim to have no curfew yet when you drive after 11pm your score drops automatically to 0. When you call customer service you receive the same scripted responses, which is utterly disgusting. They make you out to be stupid acting as if you do not have a single brain cell when in actual fact the company is at fault with its awful device and app. Why bother having a customer service team when evidently they do not help customers with any issues they are receiving?? I have constantly been sent emails threatening to cancel my policy yet they fail to respond to emails which I have sent from weeks ago. It’s a shame that the effort they made to take my money they don’t put into resolve issues. Stay well clear of this insurance company, nothing but misleading scammers!!!!

Abysmal, my car had to be taken to the garage on the day the black box was to be fitted. The engineer said he'd go back and tell them for an extention, he didnt. I then had a warning email the policy would be canceled, i emailed them back, no answer. 2 days of trying to phone them only for the phone to cut off every time i was put through to a human, finally get in contact with one and they put me back to the engineers, who then said it should be dealt with by Wise driving and they'll tell them to extend it, again, didnt happen. So we finally tell all this to Wise driving and they said they'll find out the day after and to ring back, so we did, then it was the next day, so we did and they said it will be extended and the apointment was booked in on the 1st of April. I then get an email saying the policy is cancelled and i would be charged. After several phone calls they said the cancellation fee would be waved if i re-insured with them. So after a lenghty phone call i reinsured with them, only to be told their computers were going slow or are down, so they would ring back once its sorted, lo and behold they never called back. So we rang back today, went through the entire process again, only to be told at the last step that they have banned me from insuring with them again. Scum.

I had a crash in the start of January and the whole experience has been made 10x worse by my insurance. I have gone down the new car policy route and by the time I will have my car it will be 6 months later than the crash. I have been asked to give my courtesy car back because liability is being disputed (even though it is clearly the 3rd parties fault). So now I have to wait 2/3 months for my new car without a car for myself! As well as this, Wise Driving have too many sub companies working for them and it becomes confusing. They don't do any chasing up / pressurising on the 3rd party to get a response and get it resolved they just sit around saying 'We haven't heard anything back' after 2 months!! The insurance is cheap monthly payments because they service you get if you have a crash is cheap. I would not recommend paying for this, if I could go back I would pay the extra for a well known, reliable insurance. You pay for what you get.

Terrible customer service. Had an email to threaten cancellation a week after policy taken out as no data received and they hadn’t even sent telematics. Numerous emails, calls etc still u helpful, said would send a new telematics, never arrived, threatening emails all of the time despite our calls and emails - don’t touch them with a barge pole.

My son had one payment left to pay had been insured since April 18 went on holiday on 10th January and they cancelled his insurance on 20th. They left a voice message advising the box was faulty but never sent an email or letter to fix the box. Cancelled due to going on holiday and not driving his car to increase his score. We’ve wait 6 weeks now for a reply and we have 2 more weeks before we can raise to the financial ombudsman. Everyone should make a formal complaint or this company will keep ripping people off. If you add all the complaints up they come to Thousands of pounds they’ve taken. They need to be fully investigated. We’ve sent around 10 emails via google account, we called them, facebooked them and still nothing after 6 weeks. I think they think we’ll go away but WE WONT they probably need all our over charges to pay the financial ombudsman complaints they get.

They cancelled my policy because I didn't drive enough miles in my car. Now I explained it's because I car share but they couldn't care less. They told me I got a letter to state They'd cancel it but funnily enough, I never got this letter. They also told me they emailed me stating this, I mentioned to them I don't use my emails and they said this is the way they mainly communicate and they mention this with every call. They never mentioned this once on the calls to them and they're looking back at the recordings to deal with the incompetent staff. One guy at this terrible company told me it possibly could be reinstated but I'd have to call back in the morning. So I called back the next morning to be told it definitely can't be reinstated. I mentioned his colleague suggested it possibly could but he fobbed me off and was diverting his answers to his script. I have never dealt with a company like this before and I definitely would stay far far away. They're a money grabbing company that lie through their teeth and don't make accurate notes. A lot of the data they hold on you isn't explained how it's shared either. I am taking this further and I hope that anybody that sees this really does take on board spending a few more bob does give you a better insurance company in terms of reliability and a much better experience as a whole.

Would give 0 stars if I could, worst company I have ever came across. Absolutely no customer service what so ever. They only want your money and I would advise anybody to look elsewhere for insurance and avoid at all costs. After charging me over £250 to add an additional address to my policy, I then received an email saying my policy was due to be cancelled within 7 days. I called the customer service line to get to the bottom of the email, to be told I was not parking at the correct address. When i explained I had added an additional address to my policy, I was then told I was unable to park there. They then tried to charge me a further £600 to be able to park at the required address. Terrible customer service and poor excuse of a company.

Do not use! I took out the policy in October. October to Jan 14th I had good scores and was actually due a refund. 14th of January my car went into repair by a dealer that works with Wise driving. Ever since then my acceration is on 0. Nothing has changed. I am still the same driver. I rang wise driving and they said you have to improve your acceleration so I have been trying to improve but I till get 0's. I have just had a baby so I am more careful with my driving but I am still getting 0's. I then got an email saying that I need to pay a premium otherwise my policy will be cancelled. I rang wise driving and told them this scenario. They said their box is fine. I asked them to replace the box just in case. They said they cannot. I asked them to send me send me the data behind how the data is collated. They said they cannot. I am now stuck and will be seeking legal action

Absolute con of a company, lures you in with a low price then bumps it up accusing of erratic driving, then when it’s put to them that it’s a scam all of a sudden they forget how simple mathematics works to solve problems and can’t understand simple sentences. Quick enough to contact when they think you owe them, different visa versa.

Hi Alexander, We're sorry to hear you're unhappy. You are advised when taking up the policy that it is telematics and it will record driving behaviour which can affect the price of the insurance. If you'd like to discuss this further please send us a private response with your details. Thanks, Vicky.

The black box sends incorrect data. It’s just random. For the last two weeks I have scored zero on breaking out of 100. although never once have I used my breaks harshly. I have in fact put in 100% attention to break softly, smoothly and early at all times. IT would frankly be impossible for me to break anymore safely. Yet I get a very poor driving score. Likewise yesterday I got 20/100 for my speed. Yet never once did I go over the speed limits or drive fast. I have my journys all recorded and when I called to raise my concerns with them they just stated that the box is accurate and I should change my driving style? Do they expect me to drive half the speed limit on the motorways and stroll to junctions at 1mph? Ultimately I can now be held to ransom by this company because allegedly I speed around like a maniac and slam on my breaks constantly, which isn’t true whatsoever. There’s very little I can about this as my driving is excellent in an attempt to force a better score but this doesn’t have any effect. They don’t seem to listen to my concerns nor do they have a solution to it. And if I was to cancel my insurance to go to another provider I’d get a massive fee. And on top of that I suppose it’s just a matter of time before they send me an email telling me I have to pay a lot more money or face cancellation because in their eyes. I’m driving around town like it’s a race track.

I have received 2 letters from you threatening to cancel my insurance because the black box hasn't been fitted both my daughter, who is the insurer and myself are at work/school a lot of the time - unfortunately your fitter turned up without us being notified and my daughter at work - her car with her. I rebooked the appointment for tomorrow but I have had no confirmation of it- and have had to take time off work. I have however had another threatening letter from you What is more I was unable to book a time slot - I don't think it is reasonable to expect someone to be available all day waiting for the fitter to come when they wish I think this is very poor and I will be contacting trading standards about this
